Ladies and gents, THE BELTA IS DEAD!

Toyota Belta (2005-2012)

Listen, I went on the internet and I found this....

2012年4月下旬 - 生産終了。以後は在庫のみの販売となる。

You know what this is? I jumped through the Japanese Wikipedia article about the Toyota Belta (which of course a Yaris Sedan) and this is what I found. Do you guess what that is? Anyone speak Japanese?

That's right! THE BELTA IS DEAD! No longer produced on the Higashi Fuji (Kanto Auto Works) plant since April 2012, a month before the unveiling of the eleventh-generation Toyota Corolla (E160)!

To everyone from Tianjin, Chachoengsao, Santa Rosa, Karawang, and Sham Alam, consider this a wake up call because when Toyota stop producing the Belta in their Higashi Fuji plant, you should better do the same!

THE BELTA IS DEAD!

NO MORE BELTA!

BELTA IS DEAD!

Okay, I maybe a bit mental for now. About the Belta, It was launched in November 28, 2005 and it was based on the second-generation Vitz/Yaris. The lineup consists of the 1.0L and 1.3L variants, FF variants have the CVT and 4WD models have a 4-speed automatic.

In August 25, 2008, the Belta received a facelift with a new grille.

In August 2009, the Belta's 1.0L variant and the 1.3L 2WD variants have improved fuel economy to accommodate Japan's ECO CAR GENZEI system.

In April 2012, production of the Belta ended.

Now while waiting for the response from those whether they will stop selling the Yaris Sedan in the US, can we just say that with production of the Belta from the Higashi Fuji plant ended, I really wish that those will never built the Belta, ever. There will be no FMC Belta for now because...THE BELTA IS DEAD.
