- Singapore and Malaysia's Sabah state are observing a day of remembrance of the people who died after last week's M6.0 quake struck Mt. Kinabalu.

-  South Korea reported its 6th death from MERS. According to sources, an 80-year-old man died after being found to have the MERS coronavirus. Some say, he has been hospitalized due to pneumonia in the central city of Daejeon since March and came in contact with a MERS patient at his hospital last May.

- The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force plans to hold its first joint drill with the Philippine Navy in the South China Sea later this month. Some say, the two forces will carry out disaster relief exercises in open seas but they will not include surveillance activities.

- Game 2 of the NBA Finals is a historic one because for the first time, the first two games of the finals are all ended in overtime. The last game ended in an overtime where the Golden State Warriors nabbed their first win but for the second game, it's the turn of the Cleveland Cavaliers that leveled the score at one all after the score of 95-93.

- Actress Melai Cantiveros is named as the winner of last night's Your Face Sounds Familiar finale thanks to her amazing impersonation of Miley Cyrus as well as her performance of her song Wrecking Ball.

- In last weekend's annual Tales Of Festival, they've announced a brand new Tales title and it will be the first ever Tales of title to star a female protagonist. It will be titled as "Tales of Berseria" and Rina Satou will lend her voice as the upcoming game's heroine, Velvet.

- TV personality Arnell Ignacio proposes to his boyfriend Ken El Psalmer.

- Legendary filmmaker Clint Eastwood made a joke about Caitlyn Jenner - the former Olympian who was known as Bruce Jenner before her sex change - while introducing action star Dwayne Johnson to stage at the Spike Guys' Choice Awards at California's Sony Pictures Studio, but the joke fell flat. Her compared the said former wrestler turned actor to former athletes became actors "like Jim Brown and Caitlyn somebody..."

- Some say, the remaining Series 22 episodes of Top Gear, which were shelved after the Jeremy Clarkson scandal, have already been filmed whatever segments were necessary.
