Let's Do The News! (September 18, 2015)




- The president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, visited a town near Coquimbo that was hit by a 4.8-meter tsunami and suffered the most damage. So far, eleven people reportedly died on a M8.3 quake last night.

- The controversial security bills in Japan may be enacted this Friday, but opposition parties aim to block the plenary session of the Upper House from passing them. This legislation would allow its Self Defense Forces to expand their operations outside Japan.

- Smartmatic announced that production of their optical mark readers, which will be using for next year's elections, will be transferred to Taiwan despite their additional cost of P400 million and the reports that China may sabotage the elections.

- As Blaise Compaore was ousted from being the president of Burkina Faso by the coup d'etat, the coup leaders seized power of the nation, with over 10 people died amid protests in the capital Ouagadougou. They've imposed a night-time curfew across the West African state, and closed the land and air borders.

- The top officials of the Philippine National Police welcomed President Benigno Aquino III's clarification that there is no alternative truth regarding the Mamasapano clash and the proof that the SAF neutralized the terrorist Marwan as planned.

- The upcoming 007: SPECTRE film has been selected for The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund's Royal Film Performance 2015. The world premiere for the latest Bond movie is set at the Royal Albert Hall in London this 26th of October and it will be attended by the stars of the film, including Daniel Craig as James Bond, Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris, Dave Bautista as Hinx, Monica Bellucci, and Ralph Fiennes as M, among many other guests who are attending the premiere/

- Pikachu Libre is added on the latest update of the Pokken Tournament arcade game. Pikachu Libre is one of the Cosplay Pikachu variations as seen on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games and it represents toughness. Pikachu Libre comes with the exclusive Flying Press attack.

- It's Showtime presenter Coleen Garcia responded on Joey De Leon's cryptic tweets about copying, regarding the whole Pastillas Girl appearance compared to AlDub's, saying that everybody is entitled to their own opinion.
