- A warrant of arrest has been issued against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV following the libel case filed against him by ousted Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay. On April of last year, Binay filed a libel complaint against Trillanes who claimed that two justices of the Court of Appeals were bribed with fifty million pesos for their ruling against the mayor's suspension by the Ombudsman.

- The proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law is doomed according to the Malacanang officials and Philippine President Benigno Aquino III directed the his Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process with concerned parties on sustaining the peace initiative beyond his term. Congressional leaders have said they are unlikely to pass the BBL even before the Aquino administration ends in June.

- The Department of Health stressed the importance of medical consultation to the public, including pregnant women, if they see signs of the mosquito-borne Zika virus infection and other health threats such dengue and chikungunya, among others.

- A series of bombing attacks occurred in the Syrian capital city of Damascus, killing 71 people according to reports. Although reports state that the Islamic State militants claimed responsibility of the attacks, the Syrian government says it was supported by opposition groups taking part in the UN-mediated peace talks in Geneva.

- Burma will convene a new parliament as Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy will make up a a majority of the seats following last year's electoral victory. Lawmakers will choose speakers and deputy speakers of the upper and lower houses before starting the process to select Burma's leader. The combined chambers will then vote to decide on the president.

- Novak Djokovic retained his Australian Open champion status after defeating Andy Murray in the men's singles final of the tournament for the second year in a raw. This is the sixth title the Serbian tennis player has gained.

- At the 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona, the #02 Tequila Patron Honda Ligier earned its historic victory with thanks to one of its drivers, Pipo Derani. Meanwhile, the #85 Hi-Tide Boat Lifts/Red Line Oil ORECA FLM09 by JDC-Miller Motorsports scored its first Prototype Challenge victory.

- You may already heard that Chandelure is added to the Pokken Tournament roster of playable Pokemons not just in the arcade but in the Wii U version coming this March. Check out the exclusive clip showcasing Chandelure's attacks.



- THE IDOLM@STER franchise director Akihiro Ishihara (also known as Dire1) left Bandai Namco Entertainment. His decision to leave the company remains unclear but the presumably he wants to see his ideal intellectual property. He thanked the fans for their support and hopes that the franchise can go on without him.

- In case you missed the recent Eat Bulaga kalyeserye; in the prequel story Anselmo & Nidora, moments after Mama Ariana Miley caught the young Nidora while dancing with her beloved Anselmo, Nidora was locked up inside the mansion. When Yaya Mot, who always get beaten up by Mama Ariana Miley, give Nidora something to eat and drink, Nidora's going to vomit until Yaya Mot questioned if she's pregnant. Really?
