Denver Nuggets snagged their 1st NBA championship title

The return of the Miami Heat at the NBA Finals as well as the rise of the Denver Nuggets saw these two teams locked in on an epic best-of-7 final battle to determine which team will win the title.

The past four games saw the Denver Nuggets going all-out against the Miami Heat in their hopes of grabbing their first title. With the Nuggets leading 3-1, it all goes down to this; Game 5 at the Ball Arena, which is the home turf for Denver Nuggets.

As both teams delivered their close-call performances, it looks like the Nuggets had their last laugh of the game and in the end, the Denver Nuggets nabbed their first championship title after defeating the Miami Heat at the score of 94-89.

Nikola Jokic, the Serbian who led the Nuggets to victory, scored 28 points and 16 rebounds.

Warriors nailed their 4th NBA title in 8 seasons

The 21-22 season of the NBA marked the league's diamond anniversary with intense rivalries and thrilling moments the world's greatest basketball league delivered right until the moment the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics clashing each other for the shot of this season's NBA Finals.

From slow starts, surprise comebacks, shocking turnarounds, and thrilling moments, this season's Finals is one for the NBA history books. Despite the Celtics drawing their first blood back in Game 1, the Warriors are starting to steal the game and claw their way to the top in the last five games, leaving them at the rate of 3-2 with the Warriors on the brink of another title.

This is where Game 6 of the best-of-7 match comes in at the Celtics' home turf, the TD Garden in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. Despite the Celtics' home advantage, that didn't stop the Warriors from clawing their way to the lead, and in the end, it was a win for the Warriors. The Golden State Warriors won their 4th NBA title in 8 seasons after defeating the Boston Celtics at a score of 103-90.

Stephen Curry was named MVP for the first time in his NBA career following his impressive 3-point dagger in the third quarter.

It's a coincidence because their victory day for the Warriors in this season's NBA Finals happened on the day when they've ended their 4-decade title drought in the 2014-15 season.

Milwaukee Bucks wins 2021 NBA Finals

The NBA Finals of this season saw the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns faced each other for the very first time. The Suns are aiming for their first championship title while the Bucks are gunning for their second title. These two battleground teams really made headlines.

The first two games saw the Suns gain the upper hand but the third game saw the Bucks on the verge of a comeback and their newfound surge, courtesy of Giannis Antetokounmpo's upset, saw the team clawing themselves into the lead until they've hit the final blow to the Suns in Game 6.

With the combined efforts of Giannis's, as well as Brook Lopez's third-quarter slam, the Khris-Jrue tandem, and the others, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns at the score of 105-98, enough to clinch their first NBA title in five decades.

Screengrab from NBA/ESPN

Giannis, who was named MVP, became the first NBA player in history with over 40 points, over 10 rebounds, and over 5 blocks in the finals game. His record of 35.2 PPG, 13.2 RPG, and 5.0 APG made him the second in history to average such a feat, joining alongside LeBron James.

Congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks for being the 2020-2021 NBA Champions!

LA Lakers win NBA Finals after Game 6

Ever since the current NBA season restarted after months of void due to the pandemic, teams gathered at the bubble in Walt Disney World, Florida, to continue where the season left off while their fans enjoyed rooting for their favorite teams at the comfort of their homes.

Throughout the entire quarter, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat made it to the finals and the fight for the title has never been closer than ever in the bubble.

The Lakers VS Heat matchup in the finals is the moment of truth of LeBron James to see if he's still got it even though he's with the Lakers for a few years since his transfer from the Cavs. The Miami Heat, where he used to, are trying to prove his worth to see if they can surpass their master. Sadly, despite their impressive and thrilling performance, they've failed to surpass the king.

At the score of 106-93 in Game 6, the Los Angeles Lakers are officially the winners of the 2019-20 NBA Season with LeBron James nailed his 4th MVP title.

Toronto beats Golden State to win first NBA title

Toronto Raptors battled for the first time on the NBA Finals as they took on the venerable Golden State Warriors and prove if its the Raptors’ destiny or the Warriors’ dynasty will prevail in the best-of-7 match. The Raptors shown their newly-found dominance even in the Warriors’ home turf and their rebounds really made them unstoppable on their tracks. Not only that, with star Warriors like Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson out of the picture, the Raptors gained the upper hand from the Warriors’ shortcomings.

The sixth game of the NBA Finals, held for the very last time at the Oracle Arena, is a case of one-more-or-no-more for the two teams and thanks to the misfortunes the Warriors faced on, the three-point frenzy for the Raptors on the first quarter, and their signature rebound tactics, the Toronto Raptors nailed their first NBA championship title after defeating the Golden State Warriors at the score of 114-110. Kawhi Leonard is named MVP after scoring 22 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

This is the first time a non-American NBA team won the championship after 24 seasons.

Congratulations, Toronto Raptors, for their first NBA championship title! WE THE NORTH is now WE THE CHAMPIONS!

Warriors defends title after defeating Cavaliers at NBA Finals Game 4

Last year, the showdown between Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers scored one in the NBA history books as for being the first rivalry between the two teams to continue for three straight years. Now, history has been rewritten again as for this is the fourth time the Warriors and Cavaliers face each other.

The first two games, the spotlight is on the Warriors thanks to their home field advantage at the Oracle Center, and despite the last-second blunter by JR Smith, it all goes pretty well for the Warriors. On the latter two games they faced, at the Cleveland Cavaliers' home turf Quicken Loans Arena, the Warriors soldiered on until they finished the Finals with a full four-game sweep.

At the score of 108-85, the Golden State Warriors nicked their third title thanks to the trademark third-quarter run that left the Cavs thinking what could have been.

Congratulations to the Warriors for their back-to-back title win at the NBA Finals!

Golden State Warriors win 2017 NBA Finals

For the first time in NBA history, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers faced each other at the NBA finals for the third time. There is no such team rivalry in history that they will face against each other again and again for the third time until now and while both teams won their championship titles in the past, the third time they face each other in this year's NBA Finals had been the most intense rivalry ever crafted in the history of NBA.

In the first three games, the Warriors almost dominated every quarter against the Cavaliers, but when Game 4 came, the luck has changed in favor of the Cavaliers. Now in Game 5, both teams are going to finish it by themselves.

In the first quarter, thanks to their merciless three point throws, interceptions, and blocks, the Cavaliers lead at the score of 37 to 33, but when the second quarter hits, the Warriors are coming back alive, especially ace players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, and despite single-digit gaps, they keep on fighting until at the end of the fourth quarter; where the winner is decided. Yep, it's the Warriors that finished the match against the Cavaliers at the final score of 129-120.

This is their second championship win in three years and this is a definitive proof that the Dubnation show their "strength in numbers."

CONGRATULATIONS, GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS!

Cleveland Cavaliers scored its historic win at NBA Finals

Photo: Official Cleveland Cavaliers Twitter

The rematch between the two teams at the 2016 NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, became one heck of a catch up to the seven-game fight for the title. We all thought that it would be the Warriors' time to shine to score another win but following the 3-1 deficit, looks like the Cavaliers are fighting back to score enough wins to take on the seventh and the final game of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Had Lebron James, the Cavs' ace in the hole, didn't sacrifice himself by slight injuries to trigger a foul, the Warriors would have given the edge to prevent them from scoring its historic win. Well, because of LeBron James, the Cavs scored their first major championship for the city of Cleveland since the Browns in 1964.

James scored 27 points while Kyrie Irving scored 26 points, more than enough to bring the Cavs back from its 3-1 deficit.

There's nothing left to say but...whatever it is, congratulations on the Cleveland Cavaliers' historic win.

Golden State Warriors named as 2015 NBA Champs

The Golden State Warriors are named as the 2015 NBA Champions after successfully defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers at the score of 105-97 in Game Six to win the NBA Finals 4-2. This is the first win of the team since 40 years ago. Draymond Green recorded the most rebounds by 11 and the most assists by 10 while Stephen Curry scored 25 points per game, six rebounds, and eight assists but the MVP of the season is Andre Iguodala whose record is 25 points, five boards, and five assists. It was one heck of a thriller between two teams vying for the summit.

The San Antonio Spurs are 2014 NBA Champions!

Photo: Associated Press

Last 2013, the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs spent seven games trading punches and the Heat became the surprise winner against Spurs. Now for the 2014 NBA Finals, it seems that odds are turned and it became a little bit more difficult than last year.

In the first game, the San Antonio Spurs kickstarted the 2014 NBA Finals after a 110-95 win against Miami Heat. Spurs won the first game of the finals. Then in the second game, the Miami Heat leveled the odds after the score of 98-96. In Game 3, San Antonio Spurs leading the game against Miami Heat at the score of 111-92. And in Game 4, Spurs still leading at the score of 107-86 against Miami Heat.

It's all down to this; Game 5, held at their home turf AT&T Center, and if Spurs win, they'll be declared as 2014 NBA Champions and they did, after ending Miami Heat's 2-win streak at the score of 104-87.

This is the fifth time the Spurs won the championship since winning their titles in 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007.

So here's to you, San Antonio Spurs (as well as top players Ginobili, Parker, Leonard, and Duncan). You deserved that title fair and square.

The DataBlitz Vs. X-Play Fiasco regarding NBA 2K13

NBA 2K13
NBA 2K13 (PS3)

Last month, the latest installment of the NBA 2K series, NBA 2K13, which was executive produced by JAY-Z, is one of the best NBA 2K games ever played because NBA fans love to play as one of their favorite teams, especially Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte Bobcats, Detroit Pistons, and many others.

However, there's been a trouble out here because a gaming retailer in the Philippines, DataBlitz, sold one of the NBA 2K13 copies (yes, they're original, not pirated like what you see on some shady stores in the malls) until DataBlitz has been raided by the CIDG for unauthorized distribution of copies of the hit game NBA 2K13. This was caused by X-Play Online Games, Inc.

X-Play Online Games is the exclusive distributor of BLIZZARD games (Diablo and World of Warcraft) and NBA video games in the Philippines and they said that DataBlitz's action of distributing the game is a violation.

Back then, DataBlitz and X-Play Online Games made a partnership regarding the NBA 2K13 sales but sadly, the whole partnership was nixed.

Here's the statement from X-Play Online Games:

It is unfortunate that businesses had to be disrupted by the incident that
transpired yesterday. While we sympathize with other individuals dragged on
by this issue, we stand by our ground to be vigilant in dealing with illegal
activities to protect our rights, our partners and our local gaming
community.

This is not a knee-jerk reaction from X-Play. In fact, meetings were held
with Datablitz President, Winston Lim and his team to become X-Play's
primary partner for NBA 2K13. Datablitz key executives Sandra Lu and Orpha
Oambas even participated in X-Play's distributor conferences and got all the
marketing and distribution plans of the company.

Datablitz's decision to acquire and distribute NBA 2K13 through unauthorized
means despite these efforts, leaves X-Play no other option but to report
this to the proper authorities, in which CIDG and the Regional Trial Court
took immediate action on.

The action of Datablitz was not only detrimental to X-Play but also affected
other smaller retailers, game stores and entrepreneurs.
We hope nothing more but to resolve this predicament but will hold firm in
protecting the industry from smugglers and illegal operators.

Later on, DataBlitz stroke back with their press release:

To Our Beloved Gaming Community & Friends,

Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, will be remembered as a day of infamy and shame for the gaming industry with XPlay initiating a disgraceful harassment action against DataBlitz for alleged selling of "unauthorized" stocks of NBA 2K13.

Yesterday, XPlay released an official statement listing down various details of meetings between XPlay and DataBlitz in the weeks leading to the launch of NBA 2K13. In spite of all that's been said in their press release, they've conveniently omitted the most pertinent details:

1. All the meetings that took place between Xplay and DataBlitz were initiated at the request of XPlay. DataBlitz has never asked to meet with XPlay and were only asked to participate in meetings and/or to join XPlay's so-called "marketing programs" (which are really nothing more than just glamorized parlor game events). DataBlitz participated in the meetings and "marketing programs" out of courtesy to XPlay and no such thing as "primary partnership", whatsoever was ever discussed, offered, nor penned on paper, whatsoever.

2. Apart from just saying that they will be distributing NBA 2K13, XPlay has never indicated in any form of writing or communications whatsoever to DataBlitz that they are the exclusive distributor of the game.

3. Thirdly, and this is the most important and glaring omission in XPlay's press release: in spite of the above, the fact is that DataBlitz still went ahead and purchased a considerable quantity of NBA 2K13 stocks from XPlay as a gesture of goodwill towards XPlay, even knowing that they are still very new to the industry of console games, without any proven track record whatsoever to speak of along this front.

However, it is the understanding of DataBlitz that XPlay is just another reseller of the game, and as we still live in a free country the last time we checked, DataBlitz reserves its right to buy stocks of the game from other sources, apart from XPlay, so long as these are legitimate, genuine, brand-new, original games, that are and always have been the hallmark of our product offerings to our customers.

DataBlitz has been in the gaming industry for over 17 years now, and our record speaks for itself, we have always maintained a pristine reputation as the one reliable source for original and genuine games at reasonable prices. From the very beginning when piracy dominated the market 17 years ago and up to this day that we have been able to steadily educate our consumers (without harassing anyone) about buying and patronizing original games and software, we have remained steadfast in our core belief of looking after the welfare of the gaming public first and foremost.

If there suddenly are now parties out there who see the vibrancy of the gaming industry as a way to profit immensely by using sham claims of being the only party that possesses "authorized" stocks (whatever that means) in order to shove overpriced games down the throats of the gaming public, this kind of modus is just against the core principles of DataBlitz and something we just cannot and will not go along with.

At the end of the day, we have the welfare of our customers at heart, not the twisted desires of these opportunists. Even if it means this will be a lonely battle, as Monday's events have shown that we were very obviously the only one unjustly and unreasonably singled out, we shall always remain as the one beacon of light and hope for gamers everywhere and carry on the good fight to stop such forms of profiteering through harassment.

With all that fiasco, it seems that gamers in the Philippines are in favor with DataBlitz's because what X-Play did was wrong and unlawful, therefore boycotting the games offered by X-Play.

Well played, Mavs!

Last Game 5 of the NBA Finals 2011 (best to 7), the Dallas Mavericks defeated Miami Heat and taken a 3-2 lead. Now on Game 6 of the NBA Finals 2011, the rest is history. Dallas Mavericks snags the trophy of being the winning NBA team of 2011, beating our favorite Miami Heat by 105-95.

I am neither side of Dallas nor Heat, but I do appreciated with the performance done by those teams. The German-born player for Dallas Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki, is one tough athlete, he kept shooting hoops and that style puts our ever favorite Lebron James and Dwayne Wade from Miami Heat to shame. The toughness made the Mavericks star player MVP.

I kinda felt sorry for the Filipino coach for Miami Heat but that's okay. Past is past. Let's forget all about the bad times and let's all think about the good times.
