Chevy Avalanche Black Diamond will be last special edition before production ends

2013 Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond

Another bad news to the motoring industry! General Motors announced that production of the Chevrolet Avalanche sport utility truck has come to an end and for a proper send-off, Chevrolet released the final edition 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond.

This final edition comes with body-color trim work, special Black Diamond Avalanche badging, and price cuts, which is good news for them. The Avalanche LT comes with standard rear-view camera while the Avalanche LS comes with rear park assist, power adjustable pedals, fog lights, and remote start. Starting price will be $35,980, which is a $2,500 off from the 2012 Model Year pricing. It's their way of saying thank you to the Avalanche enthusiasts and we do really miss this sport utility truck. Can't believe I had to say goodbye to my childhood favorite...

ALERT! Strong Demand delays Subaru BRZ delivery to early next year...

2013 Subaru BRZ

This isn't how we cock about. It's true! Due to the strong demand to Subaru's first RWD sports coupe, the BRZ, Fuji Heavy Industries said that the delivery for these will be delayed through early 2013.

Subaru's BRZ is the first RWD sports car in joint partnership with Toyota and Fuji Heavy Industries. It went on sale in Japan since March 28, 2012.

Those who are planning to buy the BRZ, bad luck because you have to wait 'till next year. Those who already have one, no harm done...

So, with BRZ delivery pushed through next year, would the TOYOTA 86 be affected? Oh my...

Toyota delays race debut of TS030 race car due to crash

Toyota TS030 Race Car

Well, that was unexpected. Due to some crashing during underground testing, Toyota delayed the TS030's racing appearance at the 6 Hours of Spa in May. Despite that, Toyota will be doing whatever it can to have it right before June 2012, which is the start of the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans.

PRESS RELEASE:

TOYOTA RACING TO DELAY SEASON DEBUT

TOYOTA Racing regrets to announce that, as a result of a testing accident, it is not able to participate in the WEC Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

During testing at Paul Ricard, on Wednesday 4 April, the TS030 HYBRID was involved in an accident which damaged the team's only monocoque.

Regrettably this damage is too severe to repair. A replacement monocoque cannot be produced and sufficiently tested to ensure reliability within the limited time available.

Therefore TOYOTA Racing has informed the organizers of the FIA World Endurance Championship of its decision to withdraw from the WEC Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, due to be held on 5 May. The team will make its first appearance at the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

Yoshiaki Kinoshita, TOYOTA Racing Team President:
"We are deeply saddened to announce this decision and our sympathies are with the drivers, team members and fans who have been anticipating the Spa race so eagerly. Since the accident we have looked into all options but unfortunately there is no alternative course of action open to us."

TOYOTA Racing will now urgently prepare a new monocoque to allow it to resume testing as soon as possible and prepare itself for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Let's Do The News (April 13, 2012)

So, it is now time to do the news and...oh cock!

What is it James?

The launch of North Korea's rocket has commenced. Those commies! That initiation is all about "cocking about" and this whole centennial anniversary of the birth of a North Korean leader is just pure nonsense! Damn commies! How could they do that?! World domination? Oh cock!

James, better calm down. You're making it worse! Oh and you know what why they pushed it on Friday? Because today was Friday the 13th! FRIDAY THE 13TH!

Oh cock! Unlucky for us, eh?

Well, instead of focusing that, better talk about what's what instead of commie missile threat...

Some idiot is making death threats to the author of Oreimo, Tsukasa Fushimi, because why did that story always center on Kuroneko rather than the titular Kirino Kousaka.

Uh, Richard...You know that idiot was arrested for threatening Oreimo author. About that, does that idiot really made that point? I mean does really Oreimo centered on Kuroneko rather than Kirino? Come on, even in most shows, some characters are proven to be fan faves rather than main ones. I mean look at Hinagiku Katsura from Hayate the Combat Butler. You would always said that instead of Hayate or Nagi, they've singled out Hinagiku because...

...she's popular? Yeah, James. She's popular. No wait... I was thinking of Nagi Sanzenin because about most front covers of the Hayate no Gotoku manga did featured Nagi Sanzenin. Hammond, any reason why Kuroneko's often stand out in the Oreimo story? Because she's much more of a fan favorite than Kirino. Really, she's much more popular.

Ah! I see your point there pal...

Shall we move on?

Sure thing pal!

Now, some man from Ohio was arrested to sell a cloned Chevelle Z16 as a real thing. Named Bobby Patton, he tries to make money for a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle SS SS-396 dressed as a rare Chevrolet Chevelle Z16. What's a Z16 you may ask? This is a mega rare version of the Chevelle SS-396. It comes with brakes lifted from full-size sedans of the day, a unique rear axle, a stiffer boxed frame borrowed from a convertible and a uniquely trimmed L37 396 V8. It even comes with special trim work, badges, VINs and various engine and axle stampings help identify the hopped up Malibu models from their kin.

Those eagle eyed Chevelle enthusiasts revealed the flaw of the faux Z16 and a Z16 owner once said...

"Hi, Roger. Thanks for sending the pictures. Unfortunately, your car is not a Z16. Nor is the engine a Z16 engine. Nor is it # matching to the car.

I own 2 real Z16′s, and am the owner and editor of the Z16 website and Z16 Registry. www.z16chevelle.com . . . So, trust me that I know what I am talking about (on this subject at least).

The VIN tag and the cowl tag that you have are homemade tags, where someone cut out a flat piece of aluminum the shape of the tag, and stamped what they wanted on it. On real VIN and cowl tags, the characters are raised, not impressed into the tag. I will email you pictures of real Kansas tags in a moment.

Further, whoever made the fake cowl tag copied the body # of a real Z16 (14629) from a picture on my website!! You will see that body number on the picture I am about to send you. The body numbers were not reused; each Z16 has a different body #; so your car could not have body # 14629 even if it was a real Z16.

You stated in the auction that it has a 160 MPH speedometer, but in the pics I can see that it is a 120 MPH speedometer.

The rear trim on Z16′s is totally different. Look at any of the pics on my website.

Lastly, the engine you have is not a Z16 engine. It is not even a 1965 engine. It is a 1966 Chevelle 396/360hp engine. With that casting #, the deckstamps mean:

TIIIIEF means Tonawanda engine plant, November 11, 396/360 HP 66 Chevelle application.

F105961 is the last 7 digits of the VIN number of the car that that engine originally came in. Which do not match the VIN # on your title. The head casting # is also for OVAL port 1966 396 heads, which were used on 396/325hp and 396/360hp engines. Not on 375hp engines, which used square port heads.

I sincerely hope you did not buy this car thinking it was a real Z16 and pay a real Z16 price for it. If you did, you need to hire a good lawyer and sue whomever sold it to you. You also need to go to Axxxx Motor Sales who performed your appraisal and demand your money back, because they obviously do not know what they are doing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, if you did not already know all of this.

Thanks- Jeff Helms"

Thanks to those eagle eyed Z16 enthusiasts, Patton faced charges of Tampering with Records, Possessing Criminal Tools, Telecommunications Fraud and Attempted Simulation. He pleaded guilty and received two years probation.

Oh! It goes to show you that you can't do that in real life. Claiming a Chevelle as a rare Z16 is nothing but blasphemy to the sacred Chevelle Z16 name. It's like Chinese cloning cars! He he he....

Now, for today, here's a clip for the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, the most powerful roadster in the world!

Wow, that Vitesse looks cool. Wish I want to try one...

Now, anyway, James. SR Auto Group, a tuning house, they modified the Scion iQ into something aggressive...

Well, it's a bit more aggressive but no further details yet. Some say, it was labeled as Project Pryzm. From the looks of it, it looks like a mashup between the front of the Lancer Evo and the pig from Angry Birds. Ho ho ho!

Hmmm...Odd...Not as odd as the...(clears throat)

Anyway, yesterday, we got our hands on two unicorn cars on Forza Motorsport 4. One is the 2007 Ford Mustang GT500 and the other one was the MINE'S GT-R R34.

First off, I got this 2007 Shelby GT500 for defeating someone who works at Turn 10 Studios, someone who has a Gamertag named T10TailHappy, at the Cone Killer Mugello rivals event. Praise to someone who tuned my Viper SRT10 ACR that led me to win. To celebrate my acquisition, time to put this round the Top Gear Test Track!

In Top Gear, they did it in 1:30, as fast as the Vauxhall Monaro VXR. For mine, I did it in 1:28.5, which is somewhat faster than the time set by The Stig! Wow!

Anyway, about the MINE'S GT-R R34, I got this after participating last month's VIP Rivals event held at the Nurburgring. Now it's time to put this one on a celebratory run at the Top Gear Test Track!

Now that's quick! As quick as...

HI GUYS! WHAT'S UP?!

Clarkson! What are you doing?

You guys heard about that NoKor rocket right? Anyway, developing news to you! ROCKET LAUNCH FAIL! YEAH!

Really, how?!

Oh!

Yeah yeah...North Korea rocket launch fail but don't get cocky about this. It's all trial and error for this commie country. Don't get so sure...

Oh, okay...

And something else! You know what? A driver and 7 people died in a horrible car crash near a popular tourist destination in Kyoto, Japan...

Yesterday, the van rammed into a crowd at an intersection before crashing into a utility pole about 200 meters away. Ten people were injured.

My gosh. That's horrible. Something's wrong...

Yeah, very disappointing. And that's the news! Thank you!

Lexus RX and RX Hybrid Phase II

Back in the beginning of the year 2009, Lexus launched the new RX crossover as a initiation to stop re-badging of Lexus models in Japan as Toyotas was because Toyota was starting to introduce the Lexus brand in Japan. They did offer first the the standard RX 350 (GGL10/GGL15) and hybrid RX 450h (GYL10/GYL15). A year later, an entry level RX 270 (AGL10) came out. Everything seems to be fine for the Lexus RX until now....

2013 Lexus RX 450h

2013 Lexus RX 270

Since the introduction of the new Lexus signature face known as the SPINDLE GRILLE last seen on the 2013 Lexus GS, the latest version of the Lexus RX now has this SPINDLE GRILLE for the 2013 Model Year, keeping it fresh after three years of existence. With this new Spindle Grille, this new Lexus RX minor change is definitely much better to look at because this is...just right. If you park this next to the Audi Q3 or the Mercedes-Benz GLK or the BMW X1, expect the unexpected because that SPINDLE GRILLE on the 2013 Lexus RX stand out the rest of them!

2013 Lexus RX 450h interior

2013 Lexus RX 450h interior

In the midst of the refined exterior, the interior has been subtlety refined as well but with a bit upside downs on it. The cassette player from the pre-facelifted RX is gone, the steering wheel is now more of a New GS, and for the first time ever, something that hadn't been done in the first place; REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM! Get it? Rear Seat Entertainment System! There are two monitors mounted behind the front seats so the passengers can enjoy watching movies or TV. When you turned on the navigation system, you would notice that it's the same thing you'd expect from the NEW GS. Happily however, the 2013 Lexus RX still offer the MARK LEVINSON Premium Surround Sound System with 15 speakers for the best sound experience.

Under the hood, the RX350 comes with the titular 3.5L V6 (2GR-FE) engine that produces 280PS of power and 348Nm of torque. Fuel economy based on Japan's JC08 Mode Cycle is 9.1km/L, so it's not what you call it economical. On the entry-level RX270, it comes with the 1AR-FE engine that produces 188PS of power and 252Nm of torque. Fuel economy is 10km/L. They do come with a 6-speed Super ECT.

Now, onto the RX450h, the LEXUS HYBRID DRIVE provides cleaner emissions and low fuel consumption as you go. The combination of the 2GR-FXE engine and the 4JM electric motor will guarantee about almost 300PS of power output. Fuel economy based on Japan's JC08 mode cycle is 17.4km/L but because this is a hybrid, it is well suited to Japan's improved "eco-car genzei" system. For zero emissions, a driver can switch the RX450h to EV mode and letting the batteries do the talking on the road but now, the RX450h comes with the Drive Mode Selector that can switch from three different modes; SPORT, NORMAL, or ECO, depending on road conditions.

2013 Lexus RX 450h F-Sport

For the first time, F-Sport is now offered on the 2013 Lexus RX. The RX350 F-Sport features a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, F Sport-tuned suspension, unique sport front bumper and mesh grille, 19-inch split five-spoke wheels in a Dark Graphite finish, and exclusive interior enhancements. Expect CVT on the RX450h F-Sport as you know it. Anyway, the tuned suspension provides firmer shocks and springs for a more engaging driving experience.

Available colors, depending on the variant, are White Pearl Crystal Shine, Quartz White Crystal Shine, Mercury Gray Mica, Platinum Silver Metallic, Black, Starlight Black Glass Flake, Garnet Red Mica, Sleek Ecru Metallic, Fire Agate Mica Metallic, and Lapis Lazuli Mica.

My comment:
So, the 2013 Lexus RX is now more better looking than the previous model and overall, this now has the F-Sport variant. On the inside, what an improvement because of the new navigation system, GS-like steering wheel, and REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. That's good but it's not as good as the Europeans. I'd expect that these would come to the Philippines soon but not the RX270 because that doesn't cover from the JPEPA policy.

Let's Do The News! (April 12, 2012)

And now the news! Hey Jeremy! Remember yesterday when you talk about the whole "smuggle" thing? You'd include Indonesia as part of those idiots who love to smuggle the Toyota Vellfire.

You're exactly right James...

Shame on you! Look what happened at Indonesia. Yesterday, there was a powerful quake happened in the region where the December 2004 quake and tsunami hit that part in Indonesia. Luckily for yesterday, the tsunami was minor and thankfully, no one was dead or injured. Clarkson, can you promise not to say a bad word to the Indonesians? Say sorry.

Sorry...

Louder!

SORRY!

So, what do they said?

(audience mumbling)

They said apology accepted. You would promise not to hurt Indonesian feelings. Anyway, about the issue of the North Korean rocket launch which the debris will hit some parts of the Philippines...guess what? The bad weather halts North Korean rocket launch, thank God for that.

Yep, the bad weather prevented those commies from launching a rocket which debris can hit some parts of the Philippines but don't get all excited, yet. If that would happen, better be prepared.

(laughing)

Prepared? With this? Philippines will be prepared for the incoming debris with this? That's just a rubbish cannon! Japan and South Korea has prepped up with their rockets to shoot down debris but for the Philippines? With this? (laughing) Worthless and rubbish!!!

(laughing)

Oh come on, you're just the worst kind of person, Hammond, even you can't fend off against incoming rockets...

(laughing)

Anyway, about the issue about transgender women at Miss Universe, especially someone named Jenna Talackova, it seems that for the 2012 Miss Universe, it's going to be quite different because a rule change that would allow transgender women to participate in the Miss Universe beauty pageant next year is a step forward for equality, advocates said Tuesday after pageant officials announced the policy shift.

(Oooohhhh)

No, wait James. Hang on a minute! Hang on! They allow trannies to be on the pageant? Creepy!

Hammond, it's for Talackova's right. Transgender women are now allowed to take part of the Miss Universe 2012. Get used to it...

(laughing)

Anyway, WAVE, makers of the Beach Queens franchise, they've launched a new model based on Saber from Fate/Zero. Here, take a look at this;

WAVE Beach Queens Saber
Fate/Zero ver.

WOW!

Yep, it will be available in October 2012 with the pricing of 3990 Japanese Yen. From every angle, this is just perfect. This is Saber at her best! This is just perfect!

Wish I had one! I am gladly want one of these because...well I LIKE IT!

Excuse me Hammond, but how do you like that figure so much? Last time, you prefer something more of a (clears throat) but this Beach Queens Saber Fate/Zero version, how excited do you want that.

James, you know what I said. At every angle of that figure, I can sense her toughness bursting out of this PVC figure!

(oooohhhh)

Fine, but don't tell me I warned ya. When I bought that BEACH QUEENS Nako Oshimizu soon, better be sorry...

Okay, fine!

Anyway, while I was away, I've encounter something installed at someone else's computer...

When I approach to that computer, that screen kinda look like the one you've expected from the Windows Phone.

Some say, Microsoft is conducting a CONSUMER PREVIEW for the upcoming Windows 8.

Wait, hold on Clarkson. Did you say Windows 8? Wow...

About that upcoming Windows 8, it's more like an enhanced version of the Windows 7 but with further enhances for that user-friendly experience.

So, Windows 8 huh? No wonder that MICROSOFT is getting ahead in the game but can this be right? Nobody knows about that yet but because this is Consumer Preview, there's bound to be more beta testing and more work has to be done before Windows 8 is out in the public soon...

Uh, Richard, James, you know what delighted me earlier is when I bought up some ice cream at the grocery and it was like oh my gosh, feels like it's ready for the second season of Yuru Yuri soon.

Hold on, Jeremy. What is it? The favorite of Kyoko which is RUM RAISIN?

(laughing)

I bet I saw you eating this. What do you think?

Pretty good! Mmmm!!

Anyway, while you two just sitting around while mumbling about, let me introduce to something...

2013 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

This is the 2013 Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Despite the exterior is a bit more old but redefined, the interior is now brand new. Also, they added optional safety extras such as DISTRONIC PLUS, Blind Spot Assist and the parking aid PARKTRONIC with reversing camera, while it has revised ESP that now includes Trailer Stability Assist and a HOLD function.

The G350 BlueTEC comes with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel producing 208hp (211PS) and 540Nm (398 lb-ft), while the G500 gets a 5.5-liter V8 producing 382hp (388PS) and 530Nm (391 lb-ft). Both are fitted with a 7-speed automatic transmission and of course, all wheel drive. We'll be also expecting the new G63 AMG and the powerful G65 AMG as well.

This updated version will be at this year's Beijing Motor Show.

AND THAT'S THE NEWS!!!

Audi A6 allroad quattro (C7)

Using the Audi A6 (C7) Avant as its foundation for the flagship sport utility wagon, the new 2013 Audi A6 allroad quattro is more of an all-rounder for the men in suits who love adventures across Europe because when the asphalt ends, it just keeps on driving. Indeed this was made to be all work, all play, all show, and all go, well sort of.

2013 Audi A6 allroad quattro

On the outside, it looks more like the A6 Avant but with some credentials that what makes this crossover, a crossover. The wheel well edges, the bumpers and the sills are painted in a contrasting color. Audi also offers a full paint finish in combination with the optional aluminum exterior package. To differentiate from the original A6 to the A6 allroad quattro was the grille because the linings are more vertical than what you've expect, just like the previous A6 allroad.

2013 Audi A6 allroad quattro interior

2013 Audi A6 allroad quattro interior

On the A6 allroad's interior, you would expect the carpeting and the instrument panel, which are black throughout. You would also expect the interior color Santos Brown, available optional aluminum inlays, aluminum door sill trims and are emblazoned with "allroad." You would still expect some wondrous conveniences such as the MMI Navigation plus with touchpad operation, voice control, Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System with 15 speakers, and the available Wi-Fi Hotspot that takes full advantage of mobile devices that connects to the internet like the iPhone, great if you want your iPhone go foursquare-ing while riding inside the new A6 allroad.

2013 Audi A6 allroad quattro

One TFSI gasoline engine and three TDI diesel engines are the kind of engines offered on the new A6 allroad quattro. First off, the 3.0 TFSI engine produces 228 kW (310 hp) and 440 Nm (324.53 lb-ft) of torque. It can go 0-100kph in 5.9 seconds and top speed, like most others, 250kph. Those three diesel types? Let's narrow it down, shall we? The three variants of the 3.0 TDI engine generates 150 kW (204 hp), 180 kW (245 hp) and 230 kW (313 hp); torque values are 450, 580 and 650 Nm (331.90, 427.79 and 479.42 lb-ft). The entry-level variant consumes on average just 6.1 liters of fuel per 100 km (38.56 US mpg), corresponding to 159 g CO2/km (255.89 g/mile). The powerful version of the 3.0 TDi comes with the seven-speed double clutch S tronic for quicker shifting if the driver initiates manual mode. The Audi A6 allroad will never be this without the quattro permanent four-wheel drive system with torque vectoring.

In the new Audi A6 allroad quattro, the driver can take advantage of the Audi drive select system where the settings will alter the steering, the air suspension, the gas pedal, the automatic transmission, the sport differential, the automatic air conditioning, the lighting and the adaptive cruise control. The adaptive air suspension lowers the body by 15 millimeters (0.59 in) at high speed and raises it by 35 millimeters (1.38 in) at the push of a button.

Available colors are Brillantschwarz, Ibisweiß, Eissilber Metallic, Gletscherweiß Metallic, Dakotagrau Metallic, Havannaschwarz Metallic, Javabraun Metallic, Mondscheinblau Metallic, Oolonggrau Metallic, Phantomschwarz Perleffekt, Granatrot Perleffekt, and Tiefgrün Perleffekt.

My Comment:
So, the all new Audi A6 allroad quattro, I didn't expect to see this one coming despite it was more like the latest version of the Audi A6 Avant but it made it a bit more SUV-ish rather than being a tourer. It maybe one of Audi's finest achievement but sadly, it doesn't work when you smuggle this to Manila. This new Audi A6 allroad will work only in Europe (but not in Britain). Honest!

Let's Do The News (April 11, 2012)

Excuse me Clarkson, did you say "smuggle"? Why would you say that?

Pardon me James but I don't want to say rude to our ASEAN friends especially those from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand, but when it comes to those liking over Japanese MPVs, this is a different story. One such instance was the Toyota Alphard or the Toyota Vellfire. If you guys check in to the official Toyota Malaysia website, rest assure that it's not here because both the Toyota Alphard or the Vellfire are not available. Keep that in mind that the Toyota Alphard is available in, and I'll say this once and only once, aside from Japan, in Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Oman, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Did we see Malaysia? No! Because the Toyota Alphard (both the petrol or hybrid) is NOT AVAILABLE in Malaysia! Need to say it again?

What about the Vellfire? Clarkson, what about that?

Oh, about the Vellfire, it's available aside from Japan but also from Hong Kong only. That's it. What's the difference between the Alphard and the Vellfire? Well, the exterior is the main difference but the interior? Well, pretty much the same. Why would they want to ask? You know that the Toyota Vellfire is not available in Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Oman, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. So why you may wonder that what's a Toyota Vellfire doing in the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'm sorry but, it's a smuggled car! SMUGGLED! SMUGGLER! SMU**(mmpphhh mmmmmppphhhhh mmmmpppphhhh!)

(laughing)

Please, enough with that!

Let me talk, okay? Let me talk!

No, please. Kindly enough with that and let's move on to the news. Remember the movie titled "Act of Valor", an action movie starring active-duty US NAVY SEALS? Guess what chaps, some Filipinos aren't impressed about that movie because of the opening scene where set set in Manila with Filipino terrorists killing the American ambassador and his son along with dozens of children by detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) inside an ice cream van. The Filipinos are directed by a terrorist mastermind named Abu Shabal from Chechnya who escapes and returns to Russia after the mass murder. Some Filipino said that this whole ACT OF VALOR movie is more, well, rubbish or seeing Filipinos are a bit more rubbish I think.

Richard, how come there are Filipinos arguing about that movie? Is it because they don't want to be harassed or something something something? Oh come on...

(laughing)

I don't really care if some movie are harming one's nationality but why? I used to offend most Indians, Middle Easterns, lorry drivers, and others due to my bad mouth habits but it's just me. Jeremy Clarkson.

(laughing)

Shut up Jeremy. No gloating in front of our audiences and let's move on...Hmmm...Hmmm...Hmmm...Oh cock!

What is it James?

It says here...oh cock...new PSP game coming up and it says it could be something from an anime titled "Tiger and Bunny"

How could they get so mental? You know that the PSVita should serve as the replacement for the PSP but why would they still make more PSP games in Japan?

Richard, there was that thing why PSP sales are still going strong in Japan so please, don't be cocky about it.

Uh okay... Moving on...Oh wait, seems that this new Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu anime will be a 4-part OVA and uh-oh...it's the finale!

Well, actually, a little less details for now but I'm sure this is a 4-part OVA serving as the final farewell for Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. Okay, moving on...

You know pop star Justin Bieber?

(laughing)

Biebs? Hammo, you're into this?

No! I'm not! Anyway, word from the mouth is that Justin Bieber got himself a chrome silver colored Fisker Karma electric vehicle, this is how it look like...

Wait a minute...Chrome Karma? How? Is this some kind of witchcraft going on around here? Why would they made this for Bieber?

(laughing)

Anyway, you know the Porsche Cayenne? Guess what, they'll be releasing an additional model for the 2nd generation Cayenne in this year's Beijing Auto Show, it's called the Cayenne GTS, and here's how it look like...

The Cayenne GTS is motivated by an uprated version of the Cayenne S' 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 delivering an extra 20hp for a total output of 414hp (420PS). An eight-speed Tip-tronic S automatic transmission with an integrated auto start/stop function and a lower final drive transfers power to all four wheels. 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds (0-60mph in 5.4 seconds), reaching 160 km/h (100mph) in 13.3 seconds. The SUV's top speed is 261 km/h (162mph), while its fuel consumption on the European driving cycle is 10.7 lt/100km (21.9mpg US or 26.4mpg UK).

Huh? Huh? Is this somewhat an oversized Cayman R? Oh geez... I don't care about this newest addition to the Cayenne but never mind that...

There is news that the Malaysian carmaker, Bufori, said that it will be opening its doors in China and it will display the Geneva sedan at this year's Beijing Motor Show.

Bufori? What's that? I don't know that carmaker but by the looks of it, it looks retro and it looks British? How could the Malaysians do that?

Better not start asking questions, Jeremy. Please. You're embarrassing the rest of us all.

(Ahem) Chaps? I heard that Good Smile Company will be helding some kind of general election for figures made by GSC themselves. Beginning now until May 1, people will be able to cast votes upon their favourite Nendoroid, Figma and Scaled Figures ever released by GSC in the past for a possible re-run/re-release, and nominate various charas in consideration for future releases!

How does it work, Hammond? How does it work?

It's simple really. GSC has provided a list of figures released in the last year in three different categories: Nendoroid figures, figma figures, or scale figures. Voters can vote for up to five different figures in each of the categories. GSC is also showing the top 20 results from the ongoing poll in each of the three categories. Also, voters can fill out a survey for which figure they want GSC to create. So, what do you wish to see which figure they want GSC to create?

Mine, I wish to see a scale figure of Amagami's Ai Nanasaki in her school swimsuit. What's yours Hammo?

James, I wanna see a Nendoroid of Maid Sama's Misaki Ayuzawa...

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hammond, you can't say something Hakusensha because we don't say it. Please refrain that, Hammond. And that's the news!

Toyota Wish (ZGE22W/ZGE20W/ZGE2OG/ZGE25W/ZGE25G) Phase II

Launched in April 2009, this second-generation Toyota WISH is all about practicality and versatility for the average Japanese family. This was made to have a lower, more stylish profile than other wagons, and gave the impression of being fun to drive with its sporty driving and agile cornering. However, it isn't at least impressive for my tastes, or is it?

2013 Toyota WISH

2013 Toyota WISH

Welcome everyone to the 2013 Toyota WISH. This is a facelifted version of the second-generation Toyota WISH but on the outside, it's a bit more different than what you would expect for its minor model change. The Wish 1.8X and the Wish 1.8G variants feature a rather simple design with some silver lining in the middle of the grille. On the 1.8A, 1.8S, and the 2.0Z variants, the front view is much more better looking and the bumpers are a bit more stylish yet sporty. Whichever Wish you choose, the rear lamps are now a bit more chrome than the previous pre-facelift model or maybe it's a hint of something altezza-ish (no, that' can't be right).

On the interior, well, same thing. You still carry up to seven passengers, you still fold them to accommodate various seating arrangements, and that's it. Nothing. You don't expect something special but when it comes to interior colors, it's a difference. For instance, the top of the line 2.0Z variant comes with the two-tone coloring of black and orange. Then, the entry-level 1.8X model comes with either beige or black, whatever floats your boat. Also differs were the instrumental clusters. The top-level 2.0Z and the 1.8G comes with optitron meters while the 1.8S, 1.8A and 1.8X come with analog meters. Also, the 2013 Toyota Wish now comes with a Nanoe option that is fitted on the aircon and some say, it helps protects your skin and hair from dry air during the long drive. Really? Mind you, that Nanoe stuff sourced from Panasonic just doesn't make sense at all...

First off, the 1.8L 2ZR-FAE engine is equipped with Dual VVT-i and the Valvematic system. Power output, if you have 2WD, is 105kW(143PS)/6,200r.p.m. and torque output is 173N・m(17.6kgf・m)/4,000r.p.m. The fuel economy, if you have 2WD, based on Japan's JC08 mode cycle, is 15.8km/L. If you have the 4WD variant, you would expect 96kW(130PS)/6,200r.p.m. of power, 161N・m(16.4kgf・m)/4,000r.p.m. of torque, and 14.4km/L of fuel economy. Now, on the 2.0L 3ZR-FAE engine, which also comes with Dual VVT-i and Valvematic, it produces 112kW(152PS)/6,100r.p.m. of power, 193N・m(19.7kgf・m)/3,800r.p.m. of torque, and 14.4km/L of fuel economy based on Japan's JC08 mode cycle. Whichever engine you chose, you still have the 7-speed Super CVT-i transmission.

Available colors are; White Pearl Crystal Shine. Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic, Black, Blackish Red Mica, Orange Metallic, Beige Metallic, and Satin Blue Mica Metallic.

My comment:

So that's the 2013 Toyota Wish; new look, same feeling. It's still the same MPV that only idiots from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia want to smuggle but nevertheless, it was made to be more economical to meet up with Japan's improved "eco-car genzei" system. Shockingly, despite it doesn't have the idling stop like most of the modern Japanese cars have, this is more fuel efficient than the recently facelifted 2013 Honda StepWGN but hold on, they're not on the same league. So sorry.

With the facelifted Wish now available in most Netz dealerships, will countries like Hong Kong and Taiwan follow suit? Surely hope but what I really wish for this 2013 Toyota WISH that it shouldn't be smuggled by ASEAN idiots who are addicted to Japanese MPVs. That means you, Malaysians, Indonesians, Thais, and Singaporeans. Don't you ever smuggle this!

Welcome Back: 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia

Trust us, it's faster than the moron's F430!

There is more than welcoming back the coolest Ferrari of them all, the 458 Italia. This Ferrari served as the cover car of Forza Motorsport 4. Why? Because the Pininfarina styling and the remarkable performance of the 458 Italia is just right. If you hear Jeremy Clarkson's comments about the 458 Italia on the game's AutoVista feature, guess that his point of view is just right, there's no denying that....

The beauty, the 4.5L V8 power, the noise, the grip, it's just one of the many reasons why I love this Ferrari 458. I still prefer it more than the Ferrari FF, 599, Enzo, or any Ferrari offered on Forza 4, not even waiting for this new Ferrari flagship coming soon on this game...

Even though it's not as better than the McLaren MP4-12C, Lamborghini Aventador, or the Noble M600 round the Top Gear Test Track, I still strongly believe that the 458 has something that those three doesn't have; innovation, flair, performance, and passion. This car is what Ferrari does...

Make Trouble - Veloster Turbo

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

And now the news. For those South Koreans who are playing with their Hyundai Veloster Turbo on Forza Motorsport 4, can we just say that's enough for now because the VELOSTER TURBO has arrived in South Korea! No really, it's here! Drop down your XBOX 360 controllers and head down to your nearest Hyundai dealer to see one! Yes!

Anyway, it still has the same Veloster 3-door design (the additional door is on the passenger side for easy access even in close quarters parking spaces), but this has been fitted with a newly developed Gamma 1.6L Gasoline Direct Injection engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger. This turbocharged GDi engine will produce about 204PS of power and 27kgm of torque. The 6-speed manual version has a fuel economy of 12.6km/L while the 6-speed auto version has a fuel economy of 11.8km/L.

On the outside, the Veloster Turbo did come with a strikingly aggressive hexagonal grille and in the rear, it's somewhat very bonkers to look at. A set of 18-inch gray wheels with chrome inserts completes the Hyundai Veloster Turbo's recognized style. On the inside, you would get full leather seats with the word "Turbo" stitched into the seatbacks and an exclusive Supervision Cluster offers the driver information in a larger, clearer and more interactive format.

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

And the cost, 21,950,000 Korean Won for the Veloster Turbo 6MT while the Veloster Turbo 6AT is priced at 23,450,000 Korean Won. Well yes, but don't expect the Veloster Turbo coming to the Philippines despite that HARI previewed the Veloster since the 2012 MIAS but hasn't announced the on-sale date and pricing. Don't expect smuggling this one, please...

If you took that out in the streets of Manila, the police would stop you because it's smuggled and you can't park that somewhere in Manila because you might just cause a menace. :P

Honda Stepwgn 4th generation facelift

2013 Honda StepWGN Spada

2013 Honda StepWGN

The 4th generation Honda StepWGN, launched since October 2009, is now on its minor change for the 2013 model year and with such changes comes with some improvements that is now proven to be much more fuel efficient than the Nissan Serena C26. The changes occurred for the 2013 StepWGN were very very specific. The normal StepWGN now has a new front grille while the stylish StepWGN Spada gained a much stylish front grille, some silver paneling below the grille, new front bumper, and the refined rear lamps.

2013 Honda StepWGN interior

Although, the outside was new, the inside remains the same. It still accommodates up to eight people, which is a fitting take for an average Japanese family, and it can be folded for multiple seating arrangements suitable for any situation. Those who are looking for some navigation would be wise to choose an optional HDD with Honda InterNavi on it for real time navigation.

So, the question is, can the 2013 StepWGN really be more fuel efficient than the Nissan Serena C26?! Let's find out. The Nissan Serena's MR20DD has a fuel economy of 14.6km/L based on Japan's JC08 mode cycle. Here on the 2013 StepWGN, it still comes with the R20A engine but now, it comes with the idling stop system. The idling stop system is part of Honda's Earth Dreams Technology and this feature shuts the engine off when stopped and starts it again when the driver's foot is on the pedal, to save petrol. If I meant to say "save petrol", the fuel economy, if you go for the normal StepWGN, is 15.0km/L based on Japan's JC08 mode cycle, so on paper, there's a 0.4 gap between them. Even if the StepWGN Spada's fuel economy is 14.8km/L, it still trounced the Serena C26's fuel economy. What's more aside from the idling stop offered on the StepWGN, it comes equipped with the new generation CVT. Those features really made them attract the new and improved "Eco Car Genzei" system.

There are nine colors available on the StepWGN, depending on the variant, such as Super Platinum Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic, White Crystal Pearl, Premium Super Cool Black Pearl, Crimson Pearl, Premium Cosmic Violet Pearl, Aurora Suede Pearl, and Hidamari Ivory Pearl.

My Comment:

So, the facelifted StepWGN is now fuel efficient than the latest Nissan Serena thanks to its idling stop and the newly developed CVT. Those features did really attract the new and improved "Eco Car Genzei" system and these StepWGN variants, either the normal or the Spada, are a perfect fit for a typical Japanese families. If you're looking for a fuel-efficient minivan in Japan, this is the minivan to buy. Hopefully, this facelifted model would come in Hong Kong soon and I hope it won't be noticed by those Japan-MPV-attracting smugglers, most who are from Malaysia and Indonesia...the idiots...

Let's Do The News (April 8, 2012)

Glitterfy.com - Easter Glitter Graphics

Happy easter, everyone! So, how's the long weekend? Anything discovered you want me to asked? If so, let's do the news, folks!

Right, and let's start with an obituary to the creator of the original Porsche 911. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of Porsche founder Ferdinand Porsche, and the designer behind the first generation of the iconic Porsche 911, passed away on Thursday at the age of 76.

Very sad for Porsche fans from around the world to mourn the passing of the 911's creator. It's very sad for us to see one of the legendary faces passed away but the legacy lives on.

Oh! Haven't you heard? Production of the BMW 1M Coupe has come to an end! This was announced by Karl Magsuci, marketing manager for BMW's authorized distributor in the Philippines, Asian Carmakers Corporation, at the recenly concluded Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Oh, how sad for us! Sorry to see the BMW 1M Coupe came to an end but still it was the best car while it lasted but don't worry, there's something to cheer us up because...

THE VIPER RETURNS!

(applause)

That's right, folks! The Viper returns on the new name, SRT Viper. Nope, not the Dodge Viper SRT10 but it's now SRT Viper. It still packs the 8.4L V10 engine but with the triple-digit weight loss, this now has a better power-to-weight ratio than the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 or the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1!

No wait, better power-to-weight ratio than the Lamborghini Aventador? Oh wow! That snake really bit my favorite car! Ho ho ho ho!

For a bigger treat, it's coming soon on Forza Motorsport 4 via DLC on the second half of this year! This will pack the 2013 SRT Viper and an Autovista feature where you'll learn more about Viper heritage and what's what about the SRT Viper.

Well, it's a long time before the SRT Viper arrives on Forza 4 but for an alternative, I have found a way to indulge with the new SRT Viper. That's CAR TOWN

Because it's Viper Week on CAR TOWN, it seems that this Facebook game will returning every single Dodge Viper for a limited time and this is the first to feature the all new SRT Viper. Yep. CAR TOWN was the first to feature the SRT Viper but it has a limited inventory so get it while you can.

Excuse me, CAR TOWN has the new 2013 SRT Viper? Wow, I'll pass and wait for Forza 4's Viper Pack soon.

(laughing)

Anyway, the New York Auto Show occurred now and up until April 15. So, what's what you saw on that venue?

1) Acura RLX Concept - Acura imagines what would their RL replacement would look like if it went to production next year. Could this be the next Honda Legend?

2) BMW X1 minor change - It maybe a minor change but it's coming for the first time in the USA soon.

3) Buick Enclave minor change - This facelifted version is now an enlarged Encore

4) Cadillac SRX minor change - although some subtle changes in the front, we'd expect that it now comes with Cadillac's CUE infotainment system.

5) 2014 Chevrolet Impala - So, the Impala now getting its full model change and it will go on sale next year, with this new face? Wowies...

6) 2013 Chevrolet Traverse minor change

7) Dodge Dart Rallycross - Looks like the Dodge Dart is ready for some rallying! Woo hoo!

8) Fisker Atlantic - It's a new kind of an electric sports sedan that what would expect since the Karma.

9) 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe - Remember, the new Santa Fe is coming in Korea in April but will they have the LWB version? The Santa Fe now has two body styles; a normal version that accommodates 5-people while the LWB accommodates 7-people.  Hopefully, those two body styles should come in South Korea soon. Hopefully, don't smuggle those unless HARI got those.

10) Infiniti LE Concept - Infiniti imagines their electric luxury midsize sedan...

11) Mitsubishi RVR minor change - So, will this facelifted RVR would come in Japan soon?

...and more with that came from but we can't explain more because we're running out of time. That's the news!
