- Autonomous cars are coming to British roads as early as 2014 as the British government claims that these self-driving machines could improve safety and reduce congestion. A survey from 5 News found that half of the population believed that autonomous cars are a bad idea as they would not let their children or relatives travel in one.

- Peace Corps asks its volunteers to evacuate West African countries immediately as the Ebola outbreak lingers on.

- The Gaza Strip violence continues as 19 people were reportedly killed when a missile hit a UN school where hundreds of Palestinians had taken refuge overnight.

- The folks from DID YOU KNOW GAMING? drops some more FYIs about Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise.



- A 29-year-old male visitor from last week's SDCC 2014 was arrested in alleged assault on a teenage cosplayer who was found bleeding and unconscious on a Sunday morning.

- Far Eastern University of Manila and FEU Tech has suspended today's classes due to a suspected bomb threat.

- Land Rover teases their upcoming Discovery Sport 7-seater crossover.

- A Toyota 86 has pulled a Guinness World Record for the longest drifts in a record-shattering 144.126km drift distance.
