Let's Do The News! (May 29, 2015)

- Members of the football's governing body, FIFA, are set to vote for their new president at their congress in Zurich, in the midst of the recent arrests of officials for their corruption charges.

- The last of the government strongholds in western Idlib province, Syria, has been taken over by Islamic rebels that include al-Nusra Front, an al-Qaeda affiliate.

- The Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Moro National Liberation Front said that they will not accept a Bangsamoro Basic Law that is watered down and weaker than R.A. No. 9054. Earlier, MNLF chairman Nur Misuari and his men have denied the BBL, claiming that the peace measure abrogates the 1996 Final Peace Agreement that paved that way for the signing into law of the Organic Act of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

- A volcano located in the Kuchinoerabu Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, has been erupted shortly before 1000 hours Japan time. The Japan Meteorological Agency raised the eruption-alert level to 5 on a scale of 1 to 5.

- There's going to be a new comedy-drama series coming soon on GMA. It stars actress Aiza Seguerra and child star Ryzza Mae Dizon and it will soon replace the Ryzza Mae Show, which production company TAPE is wrapping up the hit late-morning variety talk show.

- In case you missed it, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors are taking on the NBA Finals! Game one starts at June 4 at 2100 hours Eastern Time.

- Chevrolet teased the upcoming, second-generation Cruze midsize saloon with its first interior shot. It will be revealed on the 24th of June, 2015.
