- Eric Casebolt, the police officer who was caught on tape, wrestling a black girl to the ground and pointing at teenagers in McKinney, Texas, last week has been resigned "on his own will", according to officials.

- The remains of 44 victims of the Germanwings plane crash last March has been landed in Duesseldorf, where they will be returned to families for burial.

- There has been a massive fire spreading through an oil depot in Ukraine. At least four people, including firefighters, were died from the inferno and 12 others injured. It is feared that the fire might spread to a nearby military arsenal but Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that the fire was no longer spreading.

- The Islamic State militants took control of the Libyan city of Sirte. According to reports, the militants attacked forces based at a power plant near Sirte on Tuesday.

- The joint military exercises between the Philippines and Japan will occur within the next two weeks despite the ongoing tension at the West Philippine Sea.

- In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers took a 2-1 lead after a 96-91 win against the Golden State Warriors.

- Veteran comedian Rowan Atkinson, best known as Mr. Bean, sold off his 1997 McLaren F1 for a reported 12 million dollars.

- Aside from the rebooted Powerpuff Girls that will hit next year, Cartoon Network announced a rebooted version of the hit superhero cartoon show Ben 10 that is due next year. It's a new take of the TV show where a young boy encounters a mysterious alien device that allows him to switch into 10 different aliens. IT'S HERO TIME!
