- Chinese salvagers fully righted the ship, which was capsized on the Yangtze River last Monday after being caught in a storm. So far, 14 out of the 456 passengers and crew have survived on what is known to be China's worst maritime disaster in decades.

- Millions of US government workers hit by a "massive data breach", which could potentially affect every federal agency, according to officials. It is claimed that Chinese hackers are suspected of carrying out such a cyberattack but the Chinese embassy in Washington DC warned against "jumping to conclusions" and their accusations were "not responsible and counterproductive".

- Emperor Akihito of Japan express his nation's remorse for the loss of Filipinos during World War Two.

- Four people in South Korea, overall, were reportedly died from the MERS coronavirus and the mayor of Seoul, the nation's capital, is taking aggressive actions to prevent the virus from spreading.

- Vietnam is opening tours to the front lines in its tense dispute with China over territorial claims in the South China Sea, organizing their first tour to the disputed Spratly Islands this month.

- After an overtime, the Golden State Warriors won Game 1 of the NBA Finals with the score of 108-100 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

- French motorcycle racer Franck Petricola was killed in an accident during the qualifying round of the annual Isle of Man TT,

- It's been 10 years since Doctor Who returned on the telly on Spring 2005 and to celebrate the very occasion, the first ever Doctor Who Festival was announced and it will be taking place at the ExCel, London, on the 13th to 15th of November, 2015. It will be attended by 12th Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi, alongside showrunner Steven Moffat and it will offer fans an experience they will never forget.
