Let's Do The News! (August 14, 2015)

- Flames are still engulfing over the site of two massive explosions in Tianjin, China, some a day and 12 hours after the blasts. A team of military chemical experts is examining the toxic gases at the site and rescuers are ordered to wear protective suits, according to reports. At least 50 people died and over 700 are wounded in the explosions Wednesday evening.

- The Greek parliament has backed draft terms for a third bailout in five years after talks. The proposed 85 billion Euro bailout deal for Greece involves tax hikes and spending cuts in return.

- Japanese PM Shinzo Abe will issue a statement regarding Japan's role in the Second World War and its progress since then. He told senior members of his Liberal Democratic Party last week that he'll release the statement after it's approved by the Cabinet.

- The Moro Islamic Liberation Front are willing to meet with the Senate in order to discuss and review a revised Bangsamoro Basic Law.

- Philippine President Benigno Aquino III wants his presidential candidate Mar Roxas to have a running mate before the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy in October.

- Two new Lexus models have been unveiled ahead of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. First up is the updated version of the LX full-size SUV and the facelifted GS now available with a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo variant.

- Meanwhile, two BMW concept cars are unveiled ahead of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. First up, the racing version of the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept called the 3.0 CSL Hommage R Concept and then a lightweight concept version of the M4 Coupe called the M4 GTS Concept.

- The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe has been officially unveiled and it offers a much sportier taste just like its 4-door equivalent.

- Mariel Rodriguez is suffering a second miscarriage and losing her triplet pregnancy, according to reports.

- Michael Sy Lim, the Fashion Pulis blogger who was arrested over his libel against Deniece Cornejo, was released from his detention cell according to a statement released by his legal counsel.
