Lola Nidora's birthday to remember!

Just as we thought things gone belly up to everyone's favorite foul-mouthed lola, Lola Nidora, today's Kalyeserye segment on Eat Bulaga gave her the moment she will never forget; her birthday!

It was a star-studded birthday party, packed with some special guests including a special participation of Mr. Eddie Garcia and Helen Gamboa herself as well. Of course, thus being a Kalyeserye, almost most of our favorite characters from Alden, Yaya Dub, and Tidora are present as well. These guys planned this party for days now ever since the missing ring incident last week.

Alden's half-Russian, half-Waray lola, Lola Babah, was present in the party and because of Lola Nidora's kindness, she decided to spare her mansion for some time now. To repay her debt, Lola Babah owe Lola Nidora about 20 million pesos but regarding about the missing ring, Lola Nidora put a price on her precious ring...about one million more than what Lola Babah owe her!

What's going on? Why would Lola Nidora put a price on the missing ring just to save her mansion? Tune in to Eat Bulaga every weekdays for more Kalyeserye antics!

WOOOOOOOH!

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 (PS4)

Fallout 4 (XBOX One)

Fallout boys in the world, rejoice because the much awaited installment to the Fallout series, created by the same people that brought you the previous Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now here and it promises to be their most ambitious Fallout title to date. Fallout 4 features the next generation of open world gaming as players, both recurring veterans and battle-shy newcomers, take on the role of a survivor from Vault 111 as they venture through the nuclear-stricken wasteland and be whoever they want to be thanks to the new S.P.E.C.I.A.L system.

Because every Fallout player is very special in any way, the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system allows them to customize their very own character based on Strength, Perception, Energy, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. Be who you want to be but ask yourself before heading out in the nuclear wastelands, what makes you SPECIAL? Yep, it's that question those old-school clips from Vault-Tec would ask but anyway, be yourself and do whatever you want by challenging yourself with main missions, side missions, and tons of challenges that will keep you hanging for longer. Well, not here because with atomic radiation plaguing through the wastelands, you'd better check your trusty Pip-Boy what you're doing now or best to rely on your survival instincts for endurance.

Since this game is ushered to the age of next-gen gaming, the next-generation graphics and lighting engine truly brings this game come to life but sometimes, it can be a so-so depending on which TV you are playing with. No matter which HD TV you're playing with, the graphics still doesn't cut the mustard but whatever, its the gameplay that is worth redeeming with.

As much as you enjoy customizing your character from the start, one thing that is worth redeeming in Fallout 4 is its most advanced crafting system ever. Not only you can craft new weapons, armor, and other objects, but you can even build and manage entire settlements in the wastelands. Now that's intelligence well-used for survival.

When engaging combat against enemies, raiders or mutants alike, you can try slowing it down with the help of the brand new VATS or Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, allowing you to choose your attacks and try aiming on the weak points or if you're in the subject of agility, you can take down multiple enemies in VATS. Of course, there are many ways to take down the enemy but use caution however because ammunition is very scarce in the world of Fallout so try whatever means necessary to defeat or avoid enemies.

There are many ways to do in the world of Fallout 4 but how you live it up is up to you because only you can decide the fate of the great nation you're standing now at your own risk. Remember though, you are not alone.

So, what's to like about Fallout 4? The gameplay that will keep you longing for hours, the new crafting system, the new VATS system, and the many ways to enjoy the latest installment. What's not to like is the storyline, the graphics that looked so-so, the BGM, and the complexity that even your starter equipment couldn't cut it. Still, it's been the installment worth the wait after almost seven years and it's well fit for next-gen gaming consoles like the PS4 and XBOX One.

Oh, and you can avail for the Season Pass for $29.99 because expect more things to come in the world of Fallout 4. And as always, Fallout boys, welcome home and good luck enjoying your open-world adventures in the desolate landscape. Come on, Vault Boy's waiting for your calling.

Brought to you by Vault-Tec.

Škoda Superb B8

Now on its third-generation, the all-new Skoda Superb has been graduated from a large family car to a full-size car because it's now larger than its predecessor and it comes with numerous engine choices including a new generation of direct-injection turbocharged engines. So, what's it all about the new Superb?

2016 Skoda Superb

2016 Skoda Superb Combi

Skoda says that the design from the new Superb is heavily inspired from the Vision C Concept but in general, the new look is almost identical to the conceptual design of the VisionC, meaning some mixed results occurred but nevertheless, first impressions aren't always the best. Even though it wasn't as appealing as it looks, it's still well-commanding for Skoda's flagship saloon even though it comes with two different variations, the saloon version or the extra-spacious Combi model.

2016 Skoda Superb interior

On the inside, nothing's too special about the Superb's interior quality even though it has bits and bobs from the Volkswagen Group family tree. Even though it wasn't as surprising as it looks, it's still rather comfortable, about the same level of comfortness you would get on a Hyundai Grandeur or Aslan or a Kia K7. Sorry, that sounds rudimentary but it's also high-tech as well because it comes with a brand-new SmartLink infotainment system, which comes with MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As for sound quality, its available Canton sound system sounds like a bit common unlike sophisticated audio systems in luxury cars but it's not so bad to hear it.

Because it's bigger than the previous Superb, the boot space is now increased, meaning you can store more groceries as you like and if you opt in for the Combi version, it has a lot more luggage capacity fit enough for your next hectic schedules ahead, even your next day offs.

2016 Skoda Superb

There are different engines to choose from on the new Superb ranging from five petrol engines ranging from 1.4 to 2.0L, and three diesels ranging from 1.6 to 2.0L. The top-tier of the range is the 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that develops 280PS of power, 350Nm of torque, and it can do 0-100kph in less than six seconds if mated with a double-clutch gearbox. Sounds quick and as for handling, thanks to its MQB platform and improved dynamics and comfort, driving the new Superb has the same feeling like you expect from German luxury saloons, despite the fact that the Superb is basically a front-wheel drive car (with the optional 4x4 powertrain).

As for safety features, the Superb is ready with the best level of safety tech from Electronic Stability Control, Multi-Collision Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control, Crew Protect Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Detect, and Smart Light Assist among many others.

2016 Skoda Superb Combi

The new Superb wants to be a BMW 5-Series in VW Passat money and with prices start at 599,900 Kc for the saloon and 629,900 Kc for the Combi, it's a hard bargain so not bad for such regeneration. Although it may have some flops in every bits and bobs around here, the new Superb is one of the key cars why Skoda is celebrating 120 years since the very first Skoda built, the LK Voiturette A, so that's interesting if you want to dig through Skoda's 120 year history but for now, the new Superb is more of a birthday present to Skoda, it's the flagship that reserves to be respected for the owners.

The Peanuts Movie

The Peanuts Movie
Charles Schulz's beloved masterpiece, the Peanuts, has landed on the big screen with their first-ever CGI-animated film that is fit for the whole family, even the kids who aren't familiar with the Peanuts or heard of it. The Peanuts Movie brings most of your favorite characters in one place from Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy, Woodstock, and many many of the Peanuts kids because in this film, well...it's partly random if moviegoers are honest.

Made by the people who brought you the Ice Age films, The Peanuts Movie is a CGI-animated take on the classic cartoon icons where everyone's favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, tries to become the best but sometimes, his lack of motivation is what makes Charlie Brown...well, Charlie Brown. When the arrival of the new girl sparks Charlie Brown, how can he redeem himself for being a blockhead and become the achiever he hoped for?

In true Peanuts fashion, this film is all about fun and games at the start because every time you see most of the Peanuts characters donning their signature personalities, even Snoopy, they can be easily recognized by people who are familiar with them back when they were young and that's old-school for some. For those who aren't familiar with the Peanuts, this film may found out to be unknown to them but they can get used to it as long as there's someone familiar with the Peanuts teaching who these characters are. Even though this is a modern take on the classic cartoon icons, it feels unknown and a bit Charlie Brown-ish, but behind most of the niggles, there are some values learned through the film and it's all about encouragement, motivation, and the will to pursue your dreams.

That's what The Peanuts Movie is made for...reaching for your dreams and never giving up on the challenges you set foot on. Even if you're familiar or not with the Peanuts characters and the heritage that Charles Schulz did for them, you should try watching it for a change, even your kids would enjoy it for a change.

My rating: 3.4 out of 5.

Forza Motorsport 6: Night Prowls

One of the cars featured on Forza Motorsport 6's eBay Motors Car Pack is what I believed to be a 21st century take on those classic open-top hotrods. It's called the Prowler, and despite its flaws, it remains a future classic that is very rare to see on today's roads.

prowler (2)

Heavily inspired from the hotrods of the pre-war era, the Prowler is a unique roadster featuring a signature chassis, which is different from existing production components, featuring an aluminum space frame.

Powering it is a 3.5L V6 engine which develops 214HP but in 1999, it was replaced with a more powerful version which develops 257PS of power while being mated with a 4-speed automatic.

There is a trivia that since its launch, a Prowler was sealed in a mausoleum as a time capsule somewhere in Oklahoma and experts are looking forward what would a Prowler look like when it was sealed when the time capsule is opened in the not too distant future, when it will be returned to Chrysler.

Although intended to be Plymouth's flagship sports car, the Plymouth brand was discontinued from 2001 and it was sold as a Chrysler Prowler thereafter until the Prowler's production discontinued a year after, with a final limited edition model of 300 cars painted in special Candy Deep Red body color. A total of 11,479 units have been produced from 1997 to 2002.

prowler

Although the 4-speed automatic gearbox sounds like it's one of the key faults why the Prowler failed to keep up against most sportscars, it's still a quick car to drive. It's so quick, you might never noticed that there's someone got his clothes stuck at one of its doors and pops up unexpectedly. Quite a surprise, eh?

Imagine if that's you driving in one of these, some guy thinks that your Prowler looks cool and then you explain all about your ride, including the fact that its V6 engine is fuel-injected, and you get off after saying bye to that fellow.

Anyway, enough chitchat for that, because even though its performance is somewhat lacking, the Prowler is one of the good definition of a grand tourer like in the case of the BMW Z8 I drove in-game.

You may find that its abilities hadn't been used properly at first but you'll be able to unlock its hidden potential beneath its bespoke chassis as I shall now demonstrate by driving round Daytona's road course...at night because it's like referring to the AC/DC song Night Prowler. Shazbot, Nanu Nanu...

Can't believe this is the first time making an impression with this future classic in the nighttime but I'm very glad that this Prowler really is a great car to enjoy it the more you use it to find its hidden potential beneath its hotrod looks.
