- The Philippine National Police arrested three suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group for planning to terrorize the 31st ASEAN Summit. PNP officials said the arrested men are confirmed to be members of the ASG’s Urban Terrorist Group, associated with the ISIS-inspired Maute group.

- A new low pressure area has been detected at the vicinity of Malaybalay, Bukidnon at 1500 hours local time yesterday, according to PAGASA.

- Congress has invited Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to its hearing on the impeachment case against her on November 22.

- House Republicans successfully passed their tax reform, which would add $1.4 trillion to the federal deficit over the next decade, while decreasing the number of tax brackets and deductions, and slashing the corporate tax rate to 20%, if becomes law. The bill passed 227-205.

- Rev. Jamie Johnson, the head of Department of Homeland Security's community outreach program has stepped down after reports revealed inflammatory past comments he made about the black community and Islams.

- The third-generation Perodua Myvi was launched and for the first time, this is the first Perodua model that was built and designed entirely in-house without foreign influence. The new Myvi is powered by a choice of 1.3 or 1.5L petrol engines from Toyota and it features Advanced Safety Assist, which includes Pre-collision Warning, Pre-collision Braking (low-speed autonomous emergency braking), Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control functions via a stereo camera on the top of the windscreen. Prices start at 44,300 Ringgit.

- Tesla shocks the world with the unveiling of the new Tesla Roadster and the Tesla Semi. The revived Tesla Roadster can do 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds and a top speed of 250mph because of its 200-kWh battery pack as well as its 620-mile range. The Tesla Semi, meanwhile, has a 500-mile range and it hits 0-60mph in five seconds.

- Veteran seiyuu Hiromi Tsuru passed away at the age of 57. Authorities found her inside the car for some reason.

- The complete list of entries of the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival has announced. Last June, they've announced the first four entries such as Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad, Ang Panday, Meant To Be, and All of You. Now, they've announced the latter half of the entry list such as Siargao, Haunted Forest, Deadma Walking, and Ang Larawan.
