F1 2018: Canadian GP

The 2018 Formula 1 championship continues at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix where drivers need to act fast through this very technic course or fall victim to the dreaded Wall of Champions. Needless to say, this race is a sure fire way to start summer early with such a thrilling race to remember.

Mclaren's Fernando Alonso made history for participating 300 Grand Prix races in his career but he was overshadowed by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel for his 50th Grand Prix win. Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes-AMG placed 2nd while Red Bull's Max Verstappen tasted another podium finish by placing third. Other finishers include Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, and Kimi Raikkonen.

The first lap was troublesome as Toro Rosso's Brendon Hartley crashed alongside Williams' Lance Stroll, throwing themselves out of the race.

After Canada, Vettel now leading with 121 points while Hamilton dethroned to second by a point and Bottas remains third with 86 points.

Next race is on France on the 24th of June.
