FIA Formula E S4: Zurich ePrix

After almost six and a half decades of prohibiting motor racing, Switzerland is back at hosting motor racing with the first ever Zurich ePrix, part of this season's ABB FIA Formula E Championship, as drivers are fully prepared to make history in the streets of one of Switzerland's biggest cities.

Mitch Evans became the first to bear pole position in Zurich but Lucas di Grassi of Audi Sport became the first to win the Zurich ePrix race while Sam Bird of DS Virgin Racing placed 2nd and Dragon's Jerone d'Ambrosio placed 3rd.

The first Swiss motor racing event met with troubles as Nelson Piquet Jr. crashed through Daniel Abt at the tramstop chicane at the start of the race but returned at Lap 4 to continue racing. Lap 16 sees Edoardo Mortana out of the race after he clipped the kerb through the tram stop.

After the first ever Zurich ePrix, Jean-Eric Vergne remains in the lead by 163 points while Sam Bird's second with 140 points and Di Grassi's in third with 101 points

Next race is at New York City for the two-part ABB FIA Formula E Championship season finale happening on the 14th to the 15th of July. Who will win the championship? Find out soon!
