2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup - Consumers Energy 400

The Irish Hills of Michigan are alive to the sound of the Consumers Energy 400 race of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and with only a few weeks left before the playoffs begin, this race is more than just being NASCAR, pre-race, it features the chance to show some "Kids Drive NASCAR" love as the little kids showcasing their support to their NASCAR heroes. Props to the Harvicks' father-son bonding for this moment but anyway, the race.

As the race begin, there's a big trouble happening as Martin Truex Jr. and William Byron got involved in a mess with Byron got bumped while Truex tries to escape. Stage 1 goes to Kevin Harvick and as for the second stage meanwhile, Martin Truex Jr. runs out of gas as Harvick wins this stage.

After one heck of a race, the winner goes to Kevin Harvick as he nicked his 44th career win and looks like his son kept his promise about waving the checkered flag for his dad.

Next race is at Bristol Motor Speedway for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race on the 18th of August.
