THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: Reunion for Korean War-torn families



South Korea and North Korea began their week-long reunion event for families torn by the Korean War.

A total of 89 South Koreans will hold the first session of meetings with their families living in North Korea at 1500 hours local time. After the meeting, both participants will end the day by attending a welcoming banquet hosted by North Korea.

On their second day, they are scheduled to meet again in the morning and have lunch together and it is the first time for separated families to have such a private meeting since the reunion event started.

They will meet on six occasions lasting about 11 hours in total, during their three-day stay which ends on Wednesday.
