Forza Horizon 4: Our Next Chapter Has Arrived

Emerged from the remnants of Gumpert's past, Apollo Automobil is a new boutique car company made in the sole purpose of following the footsteps of the legendary Gumpert Apollo supercar and create the ultimate hypercar that exceeds expectations. Their "intense emotions motivated and inspired" them to create their brilliant masterpiece. It's called the Intensa Emozione, the ethos of Apollo.

Having fought my way through the recent Horizon Spring Playlist, I got the chance to experience the ethos of Apollo that is the Intensa Emozione and upon sampling this beast of a hypercar, I somehow managed to have a little talk about the new age hypercar that exceeds their wildest dreams, something the establishment couldn't do so.

Served as the flagship hypercar that represents the ethos of Apollo, the Intensa Emozione combines the aerodynamics and grip of a modern-day racing machine with the thrill of the high-revving naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering something no established hypercars done for. This  hypercar features a bespoke, all-carbon fiber chassis, carbon fiber front crash structures, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin tyres, F1-inspired suspension setup, naturally aspirated 780hp 6.3L V12 engine, 6-speed Hewland sequential gearbox, and unmatched aerodynamics making the Apollo Intensa Emozione capable of being a track weapon in its own right.

For exclusivity purposes, Apollo will build only ten IE machines for customer request and those who bought it will gain access to the Time Attack program and the rights to buy Apollo's future machine, which is set for 2019 debut.

Having my first word on the Apollo IE, it's somewhat difficult to describe just how extreme is this machine is but there is one very good word when it comes to describing it; insanity. That's right. This hypercar truly is insane from start to finish and it takes a driver with unlimited fortitude to master the Apollo Intensa Emozione at all conditions, whatever it takes.

On a sunny track day, it takes an expert-level driver to jumpstart the Apollo IE from its menacing launch maelstrom and drive his way to set a blistering fast time but on a rainy day, this is like battling a final boss on an ultra hard difficulty setting. It takes numerous attempts to get it right but when it does, you have the answer you've been looking for. It's no wonder why it was made by the same people behind the most extreme Mercedes in history, the CLK-GTR, but anyway, since I had my word, it's time to see how insane the Apollo IE is when I took it for a race at Edinburgh in a middle of a rainy weather. A hypercar like this in a middle of a rainy weather spells disaster but still, let's get dangerous!

That was a wild ride but I managed to survive the onslaught this car delivers.

The Apollo IE may look like it came from the world of Ridge Racer because of its design but with its old-school performance implanted from the teachings of the ancient Mercedes CLK-GTR as well as some signature recipe crafted by Apollo themselves, the end result is a hypercar that goes way beyond their wildest dreams, something that the establishment failed to do so.

If you managed to fought your way through the playlist just to obtain Germany's newest hypercar, congratulations. Enjoy your brave new ride while you still can because you're going to need all the insanity you can get from driving this mad German machine in the world of Forza Horizon 4.

Until then, the adventure continues!

Welcome Back: 2010 Gumpert Apollo S

Forest Gump-ert

The Gumpert Apollo S, hmmmm.... That name is too illiterate to remember because it's stupid to say it but despite that, this is probably one of the best Euro Boutique exotics ever made, with the pricing of 250,000 British Pound Sterling. This car has a 4.2L Audi V8 engine with two turbos glued on it and the body is packed with featherweight carbon fiber. Richard Hammond reviewed this on Top Gear and with Stig behind the wheel, the 1:17.1 lap time trounced the likes of the Ascari A10 and the Koenigsegg CCX with TG wing. If that wasn't enough, it set a Nurburgring Lap Time of 7:11.57, which is currently the third fastest, behind the Radical SR8.

Actually, it's not a good car to park at Monaco's casino square with pride because there are so many exotics that can do that job well but the Gumpert Apollo S is all about pride based on its TG Power Lap Time. The Gumpert boffins really chose a route to see the Apollo's true potential and that is Hardcore Street.

"...old Quasimodo here will destroy every supercar alive" -Richard Hammond, Top Gear

It is a brilliant car with the best handling abilities but if you drive one in Manila, the MMDA officer, I'm afraid, will have to confiscate it because it's smuggled.

The Gumpert Apollo S is part of Forza Motorsport 4's AutoVista feature and you will learn more about this car and hear Jeremy Clarkson's reaction to the serious car that has a silly name.

Das tut sehr weh...

Gumpert Apollo crash

About that sentence "Das tut sehr weh...", that's German for "that hurts a lot" because I saw in the news that there was a crashed Gumpert Apollo in Germany!

Why would a 20-year-old male gotten a chance to drive his father's Apollo all the way with his female companion. Luckily, both of them are injured.

Wonder how could that happened?!
