How to dress as the PriMagistas

Waccha PriMagi! is the fourth installment of Takara Tomy's Pretty franchise which sets in the world where magic and entertainment collide in one unique setting. The show is about Matsuri Hibino, a middle-schooler who dreams to be the best just like her idol, the legendary Jennifer Sumire Sol.

Waccha PriMagi!

As fans prepare to shed some tears for the series finale, let's slow things down as I'll teach you how to be one of your favorite Primagistas from the show.

As Matsuri Hibino - Matsuri Hibino is a middle-schooler who dreams to be the best just like her idol, the legendary Jennifer Sumire Sol. To become Matsuri, it's best to start with very long pinkish hair, then slather it with some peach gradient below and some baby blue-colored extensions on the top. With that hairdo done, feel free to pick whatever outfits she wore in the series. Don't forget a Myamu plushie as well when you need her.

As Hina Yayoi - Hina Yayoi's the strong-armed, athletic type of girl who wants to surpass Jennifer by all means. To become Hina, it's best to start with long orange hair, give it a left-side ponytail as long as it matches Hina's hairstyle, and slather it with some purple paint below. With Hina's hairstyle done, feel free to pick whatever outfits she wore in the series, especially her Flame Elements outfit. A Chimumu plushie is optional.

As Miruki Amauri -Miruki Amauri is a devotee of all things cute but behind her cute looks lies a dark side. A semi-long blond hair should do the trick but be sure to add some pink extensions, a lot of pink extensions, and curve your hairdo to match Miruki's. With Miruki's hairstyle done, the outfits she wore in the series are up to you. A Hanitan plushie is optional.

As Lemon Kokoa - Lemon Kokoa is a shy goth girl who loves playing video games and she's fond of idols. When she's in shock, she often lets her ectoplasm from her mouth out, which is her trademark. To become Lemon, you'll need long blond hair to start with, then give the side some circular bits, curve the undersides, paint it green, make the inner side of the hair dark blue, and give the middle part of the hairstyle some blue extensions. With the complicating procedure done, you're now officially Lemon Kokoa and you're free to pick whatever outfits she wore in the show. A Carron plush is optional and oh, the ectoplasm part is optional as well if you're in a state of shock. Ahhhhh........

As Amane Sumeragi - Amane Sumeragi is an elegant young woman who enrolled in a very fancy school. Although winning girls' hearts is her specialty, Amane struggles to deal with the one girl who changed her heart; the girl named Midoriko. Becoming Amane is plain simple from the start. You'll need short crimson hair to start with and then slather it with some white extensions, as long as it matches Amane's hairstyle. With that settled, you're now officially Amane Sumeragi. Feel free to pick whatever outfits she wore and when you're ready to capture some ladies' hearts, so be it. A Patano plush is optional, just to remind you.

As Auru Omega - Auru Omega is a quirky techie and a real know-it-all. Her father, the CEO of Omega Corporation, is involved in a conspiracy to control PriMagi. Anyway, to become Auru, you'll need short, turquoise-colored hair to work with, and then fit it with some light green extensions. Voila, you're now the techie girl with a conspiracy-driven, power-hungry CEO dad. Pick whatever outfits you want as long as it matches Auru's aesthetics.

As Jennifer Sumire Sol - Jennifer Sumire Sol deserves no introduction because she is by no means the legendary Primagista known the world over. Despite her legendary status, Jennifer's involved in a conspiracy with the CEO of Omega Corporation. Becoming Jennifer will be the toughest feat yet for someone planning to cosplay as the legendary Primagista. First, get long blond hair, then give it a ponytail look. With that done, be prepared with a massive array of extensions to recreate Jennifer's hairstyle. If by massive, there's a lot of extension colors needed such as light green, turquoise, blue, silver, magenta, everything! It's tricky to pull this one off but believe in yourself. After completing the most complicated task, feel free to pick whatever outfits she wore, including the Sun Elements outfit that spelled doom to PriMagi.

...and there you have it. Becoming one of your favorite Waccha PriMagi Primagistas. Performing on stages, showing off, and with a little magic, it's all part of the Mana-Mana-Magipa-Pachuppi assurance as a Primagista.

Enjoy cosplaying as one of your favorite Primagistas!

With that sorted, put on the Yuigaoka Girls High School uniform and you're ready.

As Tang Keke - Hailed from Shanghai, Tang Keke is a close friend of Kanon who has a fistful of ideas. With that hairstyle done, time to put on the Yuigaoka Girls High School uniform and you're Tang Keke!

As Chisato Arashi - Chisato Arashi is Kanon's childhood friend and a talented dancer who wants to impress Kanon. With the hairstyle done and the uniform set, you're now Chisato Arashi.

As Sumire Heanna - Sumire Heanna is a klutzy sassy girl who gets into all sorts of mess easily. Just a long blond hair and a red hairband should do the trick and with the uniform set, you're now Sumire Heanna. Galaxy!

As Kinako Sakurakoji - Kinako Sakurakoji may be an absent-minded school girl but she's brimming with excitement. To become Kinako, you'll need long dark brown hair to start with. Then, give the rear part some braids and then finish it with long twin tails. After that, put on the school uniform and you're now Kinako Sakurakoji!

As Mei Yoneme - Mei Yoneme is an aggressive type who's not good at talking about herself. Her connection with Shiki Wakana is a bit complicated. A short red hair should do the trick and then give it some side buns to your left while trying to match Mei's hairstyle. With the hairstyle done and the uniform set, you're now Mei Yoneme.

As Shiki Wakana - Shiki Wakana is a self-proclaimed genius who excels in science. She can be down-to-earth and quiet most of the time but her connection with Mei Yoneme is complicated. A short blue hair is enough to do the trick and with the uniform ready, you're now Shiki Wakana. The lab coat is optional.

As Natsumi Onitsuka - Natsumi Onitsuka is a content creator who is also a smoothie fanatic. To become Natsumi, you'll need long blond hair to work with, then give it some pink gradients, twin tails, and a white flower hair accessory to finish it off. With the hairstyle done and the uniform set, you're now Natsumi Onitsuka. Just get your vlogging gear and your favorite smoothie ready just in case.

...and there you have it. How to dress as one of the Liella girls! By becoming one of your favorite Liella girls, you are ready to show the world that you are a school idol who aspires to reach the stars above! Galaxy! Anyway, you get the idea but enjoy cosplaying as your favorite Liella girls!

How to dress as the Aikatsu Planet idols

Aired in TV Tokyo from January to late June 2021, Aikatsu Planet is the fourth installment of Bandai Namco's Aikatsu franchise that breaks apart from the franchise traditions. It features a mix of live-action J-drama (tokusatsu, if you like to refer) and anime sequences and instead of cards, Aikatsu Planet uses the swing system where avatars use swings to tame mysterious creatures known as Dressias, possessing wonderful outfits to use on-stage battles.

In honor of the movie version of Aikatsu Planet, it's time now for another "How to Dress as" segment where it's time to learn how to become your favorite Aikatsu Planet girls!

As Hana - Mao Otoha, known by her avatar name Hana, is the main character of the show. Her goal in life is to become Aikatsu Planet's best idol. To become Hana, you'll need long blonde hair to work on and then decorate it with pink extensions. With her twin tails sorted, you are now Hana and you're free to decide which outfit suits you best. Her signature costume may be recommended but there are other outfits she wore in the series for you to try.

As Ruli - Ruli Tamaki or Ruli is the spokesperson of the Meltyhouse brand. She sees Mao (or Hana) as her rival and a friend at the same time. A semi-long lavender color should be the starting point for your first step to being Ruli. With the said hair color at your disposal, decorate it with some yellow extensions and then give it a twin-tailed look. With the hairstyle sorted, you are now Ruli and you're free to decide which outfit you want to wear, be it her signature outfit or her super-cool onstage costumes.

As Q-Pit - Ayumi Tsukishiro or Q-Pit is Hana's first foe she faced at the beginning of the series. Known for her elegance and her piano skills, Q-Pit is a classy idol that should not be underestimated. To become Q-Pit, you'll need a super-long light green hairdo to work with, decorate it with some baby blue-colored extensions, and give it a twin-tailed look to match Q-Pit's. It's hard work from the start but when you sort it out, you're free to decide which outfit you'll want to wear; be it her normal Aikatsu Planet outfit or her onstage costumes.

As Beat - Kyoko Umekoji or Beat is known for her contrast between her formal manners in the real world and her punkish looks in Aikatsu Planet. Being Beat is a tricky one because her hairstyle is a split between the colors black on her right and magenta on her left. If possible, get magenta-colored long hair to start with and then spraypaint half of it with black. With the tricky part sorted, you're now Beat and you're free to wear whatever costumes she wore in the series.

As Shiori - Shiori Motoya or Shiori is one of Mao's closest friends. She came to Aikatsu Planet as a visitor to witness Hana's progress until Shiori decided to become an idol and join the fun. To become Shiori, you'll need long sky blue hair to work with, decorate it with some pink extensions and then give it a bun-ish look to recreate Shiori's hairstyle. Sounds tricky but with that sorted, feel free to decide which outfit suits your style.

As Ann - Ann Kurimu or Ann is a third-year middle-schooler with a devotion to all things sweet. To become Ann, you'll need long pink hair to start with and then decorate it with some sky blue extensions and then give it some pigtails to match Ann's. With Ann's hairstyle done, you're good to choose whatever outfits Ann wore in the series.

As Rose - Meisa Hinata or Rose deserves no introduction. She's the Aikatsu Planet's professional idol who has the highest rank in the Aikatsu Ranking until Hana defeated her to become the Aikatsu Ranking champion in the end. To become Rose, it's best to prepare a super long reddish hair to work with, give it a ponytail look in a big way, and then decorate it with some light green extensions. Feels difficult to work with from start to finish but with her complex hairstyle sorted, you're now Rose and you're free to choose whatever outfits she wore from the series; be it her default costume or her onstage outfits.

As Sala - Sala Itoi or Sala served as Starlet Promotions' dress designer. Although her designs are top-notch, her Aikatsu Planet debut as an idol gives her the chance to broaden her horizons. A simple long orange hair should do the trick, then decorate it with some purple extensions and give it some curly bits at the lower end. With the hairstyle set, you're now Sala from Aikatsu Planet and you're good to pick whatever outfits she wore from the series.

...and there you have it. How to be one of your favorite Aikatsu Planet idols. Life as an Aikatsu Planet idol can be down-to-earth fun and exciting but can be somewhat challenging from the start. Hey, that's life inside Aikatsu Planet, you know. Life outside Aikatsu Planet, well, that's life.

Anyway, enjoy cosplaying as your favorite Aikatsu Planet idols any time you can and see what's like to be in the idol system.

Have fun!

How to dress as one of the Nijigasaki High School girls

The Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club TV anime series centers on the eyes of a young teenage girl named Yu who holds the fate of nine high school girls who will give birth to this group you know. To celebrate the girls' return on TV, and almost the whole world returns to cosplaying again, now is the time to teach you how to be one of your favorite Nijigasaki High School Idol Club girls!

Love Live!
Nijigasaki High School Idol Club

As Ayumu Uehara - Ayumu Uehara is a second-year student who started becoming a school idol thanks to her childhood friend, namely Yu Takasaki. With her caring personality, she strives to support her friend, whatever it takes. To become Ayumu, it's best to start with sienna-colored short hair, give a round part on the right side, and done! What's left now are the costumes Ayumu wore in the TV show, mainly her school uniform.

As Kasumi Nakasu - Kasumi Nakasu is a first-year who does hilarious things to surpass the opposition but ends up like everybody else. To become Kasumi, a simple, sand-colored, short hair should do the trick. After that, feel free to work on her outfits, especially her school uniform.

As Shizuku Osaka - A first-year student who transferred to Nijigasaki, Shizuku is a member of the school's theater club. She aspires to be an actress someday. To become Shizuku, you'll need long, black-colored hair that deserves some tailoring to Shizuku Osaka standards. Don't forget the ribbon on the back, of course. After that, the outfits are up to you.

As Karin Asaka - A third-year student, Karin Asaka has been an amateur model before. Her appearance and characteristics are something you may call...beguiling. A short, dark blue hair should do the trick and off you go to find some attractive outfits to deliver the Karin Asaka effect.

As Ai Miyashita - Ai Miyashita is a second-year student and a shouty show-off with a friendly personality. A light blonde semi-long blond hair should do the trick and then tailor it to Ai Miyashita specifications. After that, feel free to find some attractive outfits to deliver the Ai Miyashita magic.

As Kanata Konoe - Kanata Konoe is a third-year transfer student with a sleepy habit. Take it slow because you will need light brown colored long hair to do the job and off to find some outfits to become Kanata Konoe. Her school uniform is recommended for this stint.

As Setsuna Yuki - A second-year student and a student council president with a double identity as a school idol, Setsuna Yuki has a passionate personality. Forget about double identity, being Setsuna Yuki is what you need because you will need long black hair and then add a tail on the right side. With Setsuna's hairstyle done, feel free to find some outfits to recreate her appeal.

As Emma Verde - Emma Verde is a third-year foreign exchange student from Switzerland. Despite her ditziness, she has a friendly personality. She loves bread. To become Emma, you will need semi-long brown hair and then give it some twin tails to match her look. After that, feel free to do some costume-hunting.

As Rina Tennouji - Rina Tennouji is a first-year student who has trouble expressing her emotions. That's why she uses her trademark Rina-chan board. The short pink hair is the easy part but the Rina-chan board is the hard part. If you're going for her school uniform approach, best to get a small sketchpad and a pink marker to recreate the Rina-chan board approach. If you're going for the school-idol approach, the high-tech version of the Rina-chan board is the most difficult bit as it involves crafting, lighting, whatever you're throwing at. Whichever style you're going, being Rina Tennouji is no easy task but you can do this.

As Shioriko Mifune - Despite being a first-year student, Shioriko Mifune rose the ranks to become the student council president. She first despises the school idols but a change of heart prompted Shioriko to join the team. A simple short, dark green hair should do the trick, and then off to find some outfits to recreate Shioriko. Her school uniform should be enough.

As Zhou Lanzhu - Hailing from Hong Kong, Zhou Lanzhu is a second-year student who tries to be perfect. It's not going to be an easy task being Lanzhu because it takes serious searching for a dark pink-colored long hair to match it. If you managed to have one, be sure to tweak it to match Lanzhu's look. With Lanzhu's hairstyle done, feel free to recreate her costumes, although her school uniform is recommended.

As Mia Taylor - Mia Taylor's gifted talents accelerated her to university status at the age of 14 and then enrolled at Nijigasaki High School as a third-year high school student. Born in a family of talented musicians, Mia wanted to become a vocalist someday. Her favorites are hamburgers and baseball. Just a white-ish short hair should do the trick and then off to do some costume-hunting. The school uniform approach is fine unless you'll need a black-and-white jersey for this approach. Don't forget about speaking English with an American accent. This is highly recommended to pass yourself as Mia Taylor.

...and there you have it. Feel free to cosplay as one of your favorite Nijigasaki High School Idol Club members. Get out there and impress a certain Yu Takasaki with your school idol charms. After all, this is Love Live from a new angle.

Welcome back to Nijigasaki High School!

How to dress as the Kiratto Pri☆Chan idols...one last time!

Kiratto Pri☆Chan is the current installment of Takara Tomy's Pretty franchise that began with Pretty Rhythm, KING OF PRISM, and most famously, PriPara, which sets in the world where fame comes from social media just like in the real world. It's about a group of girls who called themselves the Miracle☆Kiratts who are striving to become the best PriChan idols above the rest.

Over the past three years since the series began, we watched Miracle Kiratts taking on big challenges such as heated competition with rival teams such as Meltic StAr and Ring Marry, the jewel idol competition, saving the world, the road to the Queens Grand Prix, and saving the world...again, while they do what they do best; showcasing the world that they're the best PriChan sensations ever known.

Kiratto Pri☆Chan

As fans prepare themselves to say goodbye to Kiratto PriChan after three seasons, let's slow things down as I'll teach you how to be one of your favorite Pri☆Chan idols if the world allowed us to do some cosplaying again.

As Mirai Momoyama: We begin with Miracle☆Kiratts, the main protagonists of the show, and to start, let's focus on the show's heroine, Mirai Momoyama. Mirai's a middle school girl who dreams to become the best Pri☆Chan idol just like the legendary Anju Shiratori. She bears the Sweet Honey brand. To be Mirai, it's best to start off with pink hair and then top it off with a ponytail just the right size as Mirai's. Oh, and feel free to put a big bow on the top of the ponytail to complete the Mirai look. Outfits? Feel free to mix and match whatever you like such as her middle school uniform, her pink-colored Pri☆Chan uniform, and her on-stage outfits.

As Emo Moegi: Emo, bearing the Girls Yell brand, serves as the fire of the Miracle☆Kiratts because of her burning ambition to be an idol just like Mirai's and Miracle☆Kiratts formed, they share the same goal. When I say burning, I really mean it because she always keeps on burning like mad. Anyway, enough of the fire jokes because to be Emo, you can start it off with a long blond hair and then recreate her twin banana tails to complete the look. With the Emo look done, feel free to choose whatever outfits will be such as her school uniform, her yellow Pri☆Chan uniform, and her on-stage outfits, among many others.

As Anna Akagi: Anna Akagi is the self-proclaimed "super celebrity idol" and the leader of the Meltic StAr team. Because she comes from the infamous Akagi zaibatsu, which also controls the entertainment industry, she always gets what she wants no matter what. A real spoiled brat. She bears the Dolly Waltz brand. Since you are itching to be Anna, you can start with long red hair and then make a twin tail with some spiral bits at the lower end. Presto! You are now the super celebrity idol Anna Akagi! Now, go get some outfits that will make look like you're in control.

As Sara Midorikawa: Sara Midorikawa is like Anna's right-hand gal and a member of Meltic StAr. She is a cool, calm, and talented tomboy who cares not just Anna but also Mirai as well. A real charmer who became a fan favorite among certain viewers elsewhere due to her tomboyish charm. Just a short green hair would work nicely and then feel free to work on her outfits. Oh, and be sure to bring a guitar as well.

As Rinka Aoba: Rinka Aoba's the equivalent of Cardcaptor Sakura's Tomoyo because why? When the girls made Rinka their manager, she always brings her Pri☆Chan Cast gadget to livestream the girls' antics. At a young age, her father doesn't want her to be an idol but her brother Yuzuru wants her to be. Now, thanks to a certain someone, Rinka Aoba awakened her talents and now became the third member of Miracle☆Kiratts. She bears the Secret Alice brand. To be Rinka, it's best to start with long blue hair, then work on the braids in the middle, and cover the right bits only. Right bits only because if you went to the left, you'll end up being Rinka's mother who looks like her. With the hair done, you can go with glasses on or glasses off, depending on the outfit of your choosing. Oh, and be sure to have the Pri☆Chan Cast toy with you because Rinka's that kind of girl.

As Mel Shido: Mel Shido is Anna and Sara's childhood friend that led them to the formation of Meltic StAr. She was one of them but due to numerous reasons, she left the team but now that she's back at being a Meltic StAr member, they have a lot of catching up to do since her disappearance. Hailed from the United States of America, Mel is a prodigy who managed to graduate college at the age of 13 but for numerous reasons, she stays being a middle school student at the school where the girls are on. Anyway, don't let her high IQ surprise you because Mel's part-genius, part-idiot who likes to screw things up. She bears the Universe Queen brand. Fancy cosplaying as Mel Shido? Best to get a long purple wig ready and then match Mel's hairstyle. Once sorted, feel free to choose whatever outfits you want such as her school uniform, her Pri☆Chan uniform, and her on-stage outfits.

As Anju Shiratori: Anju Shiratori deserves no explanation because she is by no means the legendary Pri☆Chan idol known the world over. She bears the Precious Muse brand. In order to become the legendary Anju Shiratori, best to start with long white hair and make the hairstyle a squid-shaped one just like Anju's. Then, feel free to choose whatever outfits you want but the top recommendation is her Kiratto Rare outfit that she wore while performing her theme song, Fortune Carat. Oh, and be sure to have Anju's gold-plated Pri☆Chan Cast with you.

As Daia: Daia is the virtual PriChan idol who orchestrated the jewel idol audition for the whole PriChan idols to take on. The biggest secret is she was created by a young girl named Daia Nijinosaki ever since she got her own Design Palette a long time ago. Daia's hairstyle is the most complicated to replicate because you will need a long blond hair pigtailed and then attach some clippings on the hair, be it baby pink and baby blue. After sorting her hair out, feel free to pick whichever outfit works best such as her idol costume and her jewel idol outfit.

As Maria Kanamori: Maria Kanamori is one of the Dear Crown's Ring Marry duo and a strong devotee of everything cute. To become Maria, you'll need to have the toffee-colored long hair to start with and then work on the round bits on the upper sides. With the round part on the top done, put a pigtail below the round part, and presto! You're now Maria Kanamori. Feel free to choose whichever outfit fits best and be sure to ready with her trademark cute stickers on.

As Suzu Kurokawa: Suzu Kurokawa is one of the Dear Crown's Ring Marry duo and a talented dancer. No complicated measures are necessary. Just a short jet black hair is enough to start with and with your short black hair set, feel free to choose whichever costume fits best, be it her school uniform, her jeweling rare outfit, anything as long as seen on the series.

As Kiracchu: Kiracchu is the Miracle Kiratts' own mascot. In Season 3, we get to witness Kiracchu's own idol mascot form, and looks like you're in for a treat in case you'll find difficulty doing a normal Kiracchu mascot. All you need is a semi-long pink hair, to begin with, and then make the top bits round to match Kiracchu's. Once done, feel free to work on her costumes.

As Melpan: Melpan is the official mascot of Meltic StAr and she's a real headache because sharing her team's ambitions to become PriChanLand's best, Melpan is a fierce mascot that prefers to take things seriously. Forget slipping on the panda bear mascot as if you want to pass on as Melpan because her idol mascot form is what you should be working on. To start, you'll need long black hair to work with and then there's the complicating part; knotting the sides to match Melpan's. Once you get the complicating bit done, you're free to pick whatever outfit suits you best.

As Rabbily: In the beginning, Rabbily is nothing more of an orphaned mascot that wonders around PriChanLand until the return of Ring Marry made the duo adopt Rabbily as their own mascot. As much as we love her normal form, it's her idol mascot form you should be working with and it requires a semi-long, light green hair to work with. When you match this hair to Rabbily's specifications, you're good to choose whichever costume fits best.

As Alice Peperoncino: A typical employee who works part-time at PriChanLand, Alice Peperoncino always has a positive attitude to the park attendants, especially Miracle Kiratts. Behind her positiveness lies a big secret; she's the long-lost twin sister of Kagayaki Corporation's boss, Eve Kagayaki. To become Alice, all it takes is a super long blonde hair to work with, and once you get the long, curly bits sorted out, position the long ponytail to your right. When you're done, feel free to work on her costumes such as her PriChanLand uniform and her Sunshine Circus Illuminage coord.

As Eve Kagayaki: Eve Kagayaki is the boss of Kagayaki Corporation, the company that brought them the PriChanLand as well as the PriTama Go devices. At the start of the third season, she ordered Meltic StAr to do one purpose; to defeat Miracle Kiratts off the map. Eve's biggest secret is; she has a sister. Anyway, the hairstyle is similar to Alice's but this time, it's black and her long ponytail's positioned to your left. I repeat, your left. With that sorted, feel free to pick whichever outfits you like.

As Solulu: Solulu is Alice's own mascot and he's her loyal companion who always sticks around with her everywhere. He's a white cat, right, but he's more than that because Solulu has an idol mascot form no one saw it coming. Description of Solulu's idol mascot form? He has long white hair and he wears his signature Mascot Solulu Coord. Think you can match his looks?

As Luluna: Luluna is Eve's mascot and although loyal to her, she holds the biggest grudge against Solulu. Her grudge against Solulu's the main reason why Alice and Eve got separated at birth. If you're willing to dress as the most nefarious villain ever existed in PriChan, you're gonna need long black hair to work with and give it some cat ear-shaped tops on your hair. Once done, feel free to work on her signature Mascot Luluna Coord. Welcome to the dark side of the moon.

...and that's a wrap! Choosing which one of your favorite PriChan idols to cosplay as is worth a shot especially if you are ready, willing, and able to say goodbye to this show.

Enjoy cosplaying as your favorite Pri☆Chan idols! This post is now signing off.

How to dress as: Yume Hinata and friends from Mewkledreamy

Mewkledreamy

Aired on TV Tokyo last April 2020, the Mewkledreamy TV anime series centers on the life and times of a middle schooler named Yume Hinata, whose life changed forever upon her encounter with the adorable Dreamy Mate named Mew-chan. Armed with her Mewkle Stick and her Dreamy Compact, with the help of the Dreamy Mates, Yume is on a mission to purify bad dreams and foil Yuni-sama’s evil plan.

With the season finale and next week’s new season, titled Mewkledreamy Mix, around us, some of you are itching to cosplay as their favorite Mewkledreamy characters and I have just the list for you...if we’re allowed to do cosplaying again in public in the unforeseeable future.

As Yume Hinata - The main character of the show, Yume Hinata joins forces with Mew-chan to purify bad dreams and thwart Yuni-sama’s nefarious mischiefs. To become Yume, you need a long blond hair and then curve the bottom end of the hair to match Yume’s. Lastly, strap yourself some hairband on it. When you’re done, you can pick whatever costume you want, be it her school uniform or her magical girl costume for when she’s on a mission to purify one’s bad dreams. To fully achieve your Yume Hinata cosplay goals, you need a plush toy of Mew-chan (the big talking plush one is the best but a small one works too), the Mewkle Stick toy, and the Dreamy Compact toy. Speaking of Dreamy Compact, here’s hoping you can strap that to a bow while you are planning to dress as Yume in her school uniform.

As Maika Tsukishima - Maika Tsukushima is the stylish one who draws a lot of attention from students around her. She’s one of Yume’s closest friends she saved from Yuni-sama. Her Dreamy Mate is Peco-kun, the one with the Kansai dialect. So, light brown long hair, pink cardigan, red bow, red miniskirt, and an optional Peco-kun plush to snuggle with, it’s the ideal recipe for a Maika Tsukishima cosplay. Although nearly perfect, it will do.

As Kotoko Imai - Kotoko Imai is the genius third-year middle schooler Yume admires. She’s also one of her closest friends that she saved from Yuni-sama and then part of the team. Her Dreamy Mate is Suu-chan, who is also a genius. A simple long blue hair would do and then match the same style as Kotoko-senpai. Then, you’re good to strap yourself in her school uniform as well as tagging along with the small Suu-chan plush.

As Tokiwa Anzai - Having moved to the same town as Yume’s, Tokiwa Anzai is the athletic one. Having Yume saved her from the nightmare caused by Yuni, she became part of the team. Her Dreamy Mate is Nene-chan. All it takes is a short red hair that matches Tokiwa’s hairstyle, and then you’re good to wear her school uniform and an available Nene-chan plush to go on an adventure with.

As Asahi Minamikawa - Asahi Minamikawa is Yume’s next door neighboor. He’s secretly have feelings for Yume. Later, he joined forces with the Dreamy Mate named Rei-kun and having learned that Yume and Mew-chan are in trouble because of a malevolent threat named the Night Mask, the two sides finally open themselves and with that, Asahi and Rei are now part of Yume’s team. Short brown hair is the best bet for you but be sure to trim it to make it look like Asahi’s. Then, you’re good to wear his school uniform and tag along with the available Rei-kun plush.

As Haruhito Sugiyama - The mysterious Haruhito Sugiyama is the one Yume Hinata had a crush on but he’s already had the love of his life; his childhood friend who understands him dearly. Later, he got cursed by the Queen of Nightmares and became the Night Mask, a malevolent threat that made Yume’s life more miserable. With his short jet black hair trimmed to look like his done and ready, you can either go for eitheir his school uniform, which is white all over, or terrorize the night as the Night Mask, which involves a big white crescent mask, black formalwear, a black cape, and a Yuni-sama plush. (The big, talking Yuni-sama plush is the top pick but a small one works too).

...and there you have it. How to dress as Yume Hinata and friends from the Mewkledreamy anime! Enjoy the season finale and don’t miss next week’s new season, mya!

How to dress as Haruka Hoshinogawa

In honor of the series finale of Hirake! Cocotama, it's time to show you how to dress as the series' main character, Haruka Hoshinogawa. In case you never know her, Haruka sets off to an adventure with her Cocotama friends Ribbon, Pillow, and Chaco, among many others, to fulfill the wishes of humans while dealing against the Minus Power phenomenon. Before we say goodbye to Haruka and her Cocotama friends when the series ends tonight, it's time to lay down some simple instructions on how to be Haruka Hoshinogawa.

This may need some parental supervision before dressing as Haruka Hoshinogawa so little girls, ask you mom and dad first.

Haruka Hoshinogawa
  • First, start with the long blond hair and position her ponytail to your left.
  • Haruka's signature ribbon has a petal of a cherry blossom in the middle. With parental help, you can recreate Haruka's trademark ribbon by using a normal pink ribbon, a round thing (button works well) and some pink art paper. Simply draw a cherry blossom petal on the pink art paper, cut it with your scissors, position it on the round object, and place it in the middle of the ribbon.
  • Haruka's costume involves a blue V-shaped suspender skirt, a pink vest with a hood, a white T-shirt (short-sleeve for Summer, long sleeve for Autumn to Spring), and some reddish shoes. If you managed to find every single item in the shopping list, you got what you need to recreate Haruka's costume.
  • Haruka carries the Himitsu no Key alongside her in the TV series and a replica of it is standard when you buy the Ribbon Cocotama doll so be sure to buy one.
  • Optional; to fend off the Minus Power phenomenon that plagued humans, Haruka uses the full power of the Mahou no Tamago item and fortunately, Bandai has a Mahou no Tamago toy so feel free to find one at your nearest toy shops or online.
  • Optional: Haruka is always tagged along with her Cocotama friends so a selection of Cocotama dolls make a nice touch to it. Ribbon, Pillow, and Chaco are highly recommended but you can have any of the Cocotama cast from Hirake! Cocotama such as Ruby, Pantonio, Marume, Ojou, and others! The more, the merrier!
...and there you have it. You have your Haruka Hoshinogawa cosplay and you can really set off to a wish-fulfilling journey with your Cocotama friends while fending off against the Minus Power phenomenon. The Cocotamas will thank you for it.

How to dress as Aikatsu Friends characters...again

Tonight is the series finale of Aikatsu Friends and while fans are going to miss this show when it ends, you can expect a lot of comments about just how great the final episode will be but don't shed so many tears because even though Aikatsu Friends ends, the characters will return in next month's Aikatsu On Parade TV series, the series' 7th anniversary present to the fans.

It's hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful but pointless installment of the Aikatsu franchise in fact, you can expect a lot of cosplays to remember the moment. Anyway, in honor of the series finale and without the help from Coco this time, it's time for instructions on how to be your favorite Aikatsu Friends character from the first to the second season!

Aikatsu Friends

As Aine Yuki - Aine Yuki is one of the stars of the show and a member of Pure Palette. In the first series, she and Mio Minato formed Pure Palette and they've been through different obstacles in the hopes of becoming the Diamond Friends champion against Love Me Tear. She bears the Sugar Melody brand. In the second series, she bears not just the Diamond Jeweling Dress but also the All Jeweling Dress she and Mio had. being Aine is as simple as a long pink hair with some added yellow gradient to it (airbrushing on the bottom is recommended) and a baby blue ribbon to your right. With that settled, do whatever you want in the choice of outfits, be it the Star Harmony uniform or her standard onstage costume, not to mention the Miracle Dress from the first series, the Diamond Jeweling Dress, and ultimately the All Jeweling Dress.

As Mio Minato - Mio Minato is also one of the stars of the show and a member of Pure Palette. A young girl with a keen sense of fashion, she bears the Material Color brand. She and Aine formed Pure Palette and together, they've conquered through every obstacle to become the Diamond Friends Cup champion in the first series. In the second series, she bears the Sapphire Jeweling Dress. Anyway, her semi-long hairstyle is sky blue with a purple gradient below and has braids on the back. Once done, feel free to do whatever outfit you want for your Mio Minato cosplay, from her Star Harmony uniform to her All Jeweling Dress.

As Maika Chono - Maika Chono is a member of Honey Cat. A feisty young girl, Maika is the kind of idol who won't let anyone stand in her way. She bears the Dancing Mirage brand. To be Maika, make sure the hair is somewhat long and somewhat lilac, not to mention the Yohane-ish round part on the right side of the hair. With the Maika look set, feel free to don whatever outfits she wore.

As Ema Hinata - Ema Hinata is a member of Honey Cat and a member of the school's lacrosse club. She sees Maika as both a friend and a rival and that's how their friendly rivalry brought them together as Honey Cat, travelling around the globe to get their names known. She bears the Colorful Shake brand. To be Ema, first you need to get a very long blond hair and make two pigtails out of it, making sure that the pigtails you're doing is as slim as Ema's. With that, the outfits are up to you!

As Karen Kamishiro - Karen Kamishiro is a member of the legendary duo Love Me Tear. She is known for her elegant nature and her philanthropy known the world over. She bears the Classical Ange brand and in the second series, she bears the Aquamarine Jeweling Dress. To be her, one long blond hair is needed to work on but approach with caution, folks, because her hairstyle looks like a squid of some sort. It's a tricky job so you'd better be careful with the hair your working on while trying to mimic Karen's. Once done, feel free to pick whatever outfits you want.

As Mirai Askua - Mirai Asuka is a member of the legendary duo Love Me Tear. Unlike her mate, Mirai is somewhat of a mischief who loves to poke fun not just Karen but also Aine. In the second series, she served as a mentor to her apprentice idol, Wakaba Harukaze. She bears the Milky Joker name and the Garnet Jeweling Dress. If you want to be Mirai, first, get a long red hair and make sure the pigtails you're working on matches Mirai's look. It may sounds intermediate but feel free to do some outfits when you're done sorting out Mirai's hairstyle.

As Sakuya Shirayuri - Sakuya Shirayuri is somewhat a young girl with a mystery. Fortune-telling is her hobby and she always predicts the fortunes of everyone who come across. She and her twin sister Kaguya formed Reflect Moon and they were responsible for the downfall of Pure Palette at the Brilliant Friends Cup but later lost to Love Me Tear at the Diamond Friends Cup. She bears the Luna Witch brand. Being Sakuya is a long order because you have to work on the dark blue gradients on the half of your long, whitish hair but the gradient needs to be below because if went backwards, then it's a Kaguya hairstyle, which is exactly I'm going to mention it later on. With Sakuya's hairstyle set, time to work on her signature headband and once done, feel free to work on her outfits.

As Kaguya Shirayuri - Kaguya Shirayuri is Sakuya's twin sister and a member of Reflect Moon. Unlike her twin sister Sakuya, Kaguya is a rather brash, sassy girl who often runs into trouble wherever she goes. She bears the Moon Maiden brand. As mentioned above, the dark blue gradient will be on the top side of your long white hair instead of the downside that Sakuya had. After that, you can put two red ribbons on each side. With Kaguya-sama's hairstyle set, feel free to work on her outfits of your choosing.

As Hibiki Tensho - Once a member of the legendary duo I Believe, Hibiki emerged from outer space and asked the Pure Palette girls for help. A strict but welcoming personality, Hibiki's always in charge of almost everything. She bears the Heavenly Perfume brand and the Ruby Jeweling Dress. Hibiki's hairdo is somewhat challenging because while it requires a long orange hairdo with some red gradients on it, trying to match her hairstyle will take several hours to perfect it. Once perfected, feel free to select any outfit she wore, especially her Ruby Jeweling Dress that set the stage on fire, literally.

As Alicia Charlotte - Alicia Charlotte is the crown princess of the Principality of Solvette. Ever since her mother, the queen, died of an incurable illness, Alicia decided to abandon her idol life and choose to reign the snowcapped kingdom instead. That meant breaking up Hibiki for good but thanks to the Pure Palette girls and Hibiki, Alicia finally re-opened her heart to be an idol and henceforth, I Believe is revived. She bears the Glorious Snow brand and the Emerald Jeweling Dress. For anyone wishing to cosplay Solvette's crown princess, consider finding a long, pale turquoise-colored hair, make the hairstyle a bit Aria Futaba-ish, and then work on the braids on the right side. After finishing the hardwork to match Alicia's hairdo, feel free to work on her outfits. Crown Princess' orders.

As Wakaba Harukaze - Wakaba Harukaze is a young girl who passed Mirai's audition and serve as her apprentice idol. She is a big fan of Pure Palette and she wishes to follow their footsteps one day. She bears the Humming Leaf brand and the Topaz Jeweling Dress. Wakaba's hairstyle is somewhat long, brown, and has two pigtails on it. That sounds easy but working on her signature hair accessory adds some challenge to it. Once done, feel free to work on her outfits from her style dress to her Topaz Jeweling Dress. Mirai will definitely approve your Wakaba look.

...and there you have it. With the hairstyle set and with the outfit of your choosing, you can have your own Aikatsu Friends cosplay anytime you want.

The series finale of Aikatsu Friends airs tonight on TV Tokyo at 6:25PM JST. Don't miss it!

How to dress as the Kiratto Pri☆Chan idols

Kiratto Pri☆Chan is the latest installment of Takara Tomy's Pretty franchise that began with Pretty Rhythm, KING OF PRISM, and most famously, PriPara, which sets in the world where fame comes from social media just like in the real world. It's about a group of girls who called themselves the Miracle☆Kiratts who are striving to become the best PriChan idols above the rest. As the first season draws to a close and with convention season's upon us, let's slow things down as I'll teach you how to be one of your favorite Pri☆Chan idols.

Kiratto Pri☆Chan

As Mirai Momoyama: We begin with Miracle☆Kiratts, the main protagonists of the show and to start, let's focus on the show's heroine, Mirai Momoyama. Mirai's a middle schoolgirl who dreams to become the best Pri☆Chan idol just like the legendary Anju Shiratori. She bears the Sweet Honey brand. To be Mirai, it's best to start off with a pink hair and then top it off with a ponytail just the right size as Mirai's.

Since  you are itching to be Anna, you can start with a long red hair and then make a twin tail with some spiral bits at the lower end.

To be Rinka, it's best to start with a long blue hair, then work on the braids in the middle, and cover the right bits only.

In order to become the legendary Anju Shiratori, best to start with a long white hair and make the hairstyle a squid-shaped one just like Anju's. Then, feel free to choose whatever outfits you want but the top recommendation is her Kiratto Rare outfit that she wore while performing her theme song, Fortune Carat. Oh, and be sure to have Anju's gold-plated Pri☆Chan Cast with you.

...and there you have it, how to dress as the Kiratto Pri☆Chan idols. Dressing as one of the characters from this show means that you are one of the few people who love the newest Pretty installment and no matter which side you're on, the fun part of it is that it's great to be part of the Pri☆Chan experience.

Enjoy cosplaying as your favorite Pri☆Chan idols! This post is now signing off.

How to dress as Poppin' Party members

The Bang Dream! franchise is coined by Bushiroad as the next-generation girls band project when the experiment began in 2015 with Poppin Party as the first of their new kind. After two years of experimenting Poppin' Party with numerous hit songs, they've been blessed with a 2017 anime series for 13 episodes and when the anime series ended, Bushiroad wanted to expand the Bang Dream! franchise with the Girls Band Party app game featuring new bands such as Roselia, Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, and Hello! Happy World!

Think of Bang Dream! as a mix of Love Live! and K-On! in a nutshell because they really are like the mixture of two music anime shows we all love and due to this sudden spike in popularity, it managed to trump both in a long shot and whether you love it or hate it, the Bang Dream! mania roars like the sound of the Hellcat engine revving behind your ears.

Anyway, since we got the whole Bang Dream! into our cognitive systems, most of you are willing to cosplay as your favorite Bang Dream characters but since Poppin Party were the founding band of the franchise, focus will shift on how to dress as Poppin' Party members.

Poppin Party

As Kasumi Toyama - Kasumi is the guitarist and vocalist of Poppin' Party. A high school first year at the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy. She wanted to have her own band ever since she first encountered a star-shaped guitar when she was little and as the front gal of Poppin' Party, she'll going to give it her all. Starting with her hair, it's simply brown and short but take note on the top of her hair that resembles like cat ears as well as some star accessories on her front right side. With that settle, pick whatever outfit you like, whether the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy uniform, her sky-blue, one-piece, short-sleeved casuals, or her onstage outfit. Since her image color is red, her onstage outfit should match her color. Takes some sleeveless polo shirt, suspenders, a red necktie, black shorts, black stockings, red shoes, and some detailing to match her onstage look. You get the point and for an optional feature, her signature red star-shaped guitar. ESP will sell you a replica of Kasumi's signature guitar if you can afford one.

As Tae Hanazono - Tae is the guitarist of Poppin' Party and a high school first year at the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy. She loves music and works part-time at the live house where she bought her blue guitar in the first place. That blue guitar is optional for you if you're itching a Tae Hanazono cosplay, especially if you managed to maintain that long black hair of yours and donning whatever her outfits you want, especially her onstage outfit with some blue detailing on it, matching her image color. Same outfit picks as Kasumi from above but detailing needs to be blue.

As Saya Yamabuki - Saya is the drummer of Poppin' Party and a high school first year at the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy. Saya met Kasumi at their school entrance ceremony and the two have eaten lunch together every day since. She gets her hands full with the family business, the Yamabuki Bakery. She was once a member of a certain band since middle school until now... Her hair is long, slightly brown, and ponytailed, and her onstage outfit consists of a sleeveless polo shirt, suspenders, black shorts, black stockings, yellow shoes, and some detailing all colored yellow, which is Saya's image color. Since it's too big to bring drums with you, bring drumsticks instead.

As Rimi Ushigome - Rimi is the bassist of Poppin' Party and a high school first year at the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy. Rimi tries not to be so shy, but hasn't had much luck so far. She loves the chocolate cornets the Yamabuki Bakery makes. Her pink bass guitar was a hand-me-down from her older sister. It's optional if you can afford it but anyway, while you are trying your best to make yourself as cute as Rimi, make sure your black hair needs to be as short as Rimi's and if you're gunning for her onstage costume, be it a short-sleeved polo shirt, black suspenders, pink ribbons, a pink skirt, black stockings, pink shoes, and some detailing on your costume. Be it pink.

As Arisa Ichigaya - Arisa is the pianist of Poppin' Party and a high school first year at the Hanasakigawa Girls Academy. Her grandparents run a pawn shop and she's very much an indoor girl who likes taking car of her bonai trees and looking at stuff online. A well-rounded tsundere, she often causes trouble with Kasumi quite a bit. Anyway, being Arisa takes a long beige-colored hair that needs to be twin-tailed. With your twin-tailed hair matches Arisa's, go for whatever outfits you want and if you're itching for her onstage costume, be ready with your short-sleeved polo shirt, black suspenders, purple ribbons, a pink skirt, black stockings, purple shoes, and some detailing on your costume. Purple please. Oh, and is it possible to bring a keyboard with you? If you can, you can but if its too much, don't.

...and there you have it. Dress as your favorite Poppin' Party members so you can tell the world just how rocking your Poppin' Party cosplay is, either by yourself or with a group. In case your nearby anime convention has some battle of the bands on it, it's your chance to show everyone what Poppin' Party is made for!

How to dress as Aikatsu Friends characters

The third installment of Bandai Namco's Aikatsu franchise, Aikatsu Friends!, has arrived and this new series stars new main characters Aine Yuki and Mio Minato who share the same goal to become the best idols of Star Harmony Academy and their hopes to come face to face with the venerable duo they called Love Me Tear.

Aikatsu Friends

Is this on? Anyway, sorry for the interruption, ladies and gentlemen. Coco here and I'm here because most of you are anticipated for the arrival for the brand new Aikatsu series airing on TV Tokyo this Thursday night and looks like most of the characters look fit for your future cosplay plans, if I'm saying this right.

Anyway, like our friend says, it's an idol anime tradition that most of the idol characters are known for their unlimited array of wardrobe and this new show is no exception. For the time being, let's focus solely on the hairdos before doing so so kids, pay attention!

As Aine Yuki: Aine Yuki is the star of the TV series and her promise is to make a million friends. If someone is in need, Aine's not hesitate to help them. A true friend indeed and being Aine is as simple as a long pink hair with some added yellow gradient to it (airbrushing on the bottom is recommended) and a baby blue ribbon headband on the top and presto! Instant Aine! With that settle, do whatever you want in the choice of outfits, be it the Star Harmony uniform or her standard onstage costume.

As Mio Minato: Mio Minato is known to be the cover girl of every issue of the AIKATSU STYLE TIMES magazine and she's the bearer of the Material Color. Anyway, do you ever hear of a Pokemon named Mareanie? Use this as an inspiration to mimic her hairstyle. It's sky blue, it's semi long, it has purple gradient on it, and has braids on the back. Voila! Mio Minato's your gal.

As Maika Chono - Elegant and brash, Maika is the kind of idol who won't let anyone stand in her way. Her hair is somewhat long and somewhat purplish. Easy as pie. With the Maika look set, feel free to don whatever outfits she wore.

As Ema Hinata - Although cute by her appearance, Ema's the kind of idol who wants to stand above the rest. To be Ema, first you need to get a very long blond hair and make two pigtails out of it, making sure that the pigtails you're doing is as slim as Ema's. With that, the outfits are up to you!

As Karen Kamishiro - Karen is the elegant half of the veteran idol duo, Love Me Tear, and to be her, one long blond hair is needed to work on but approach with caution, folks, because her hairstyle looks like a squid of some sort. It's a tricky job so you'd better be careful with the hair your working on while trying to mimic Karen's. Once done, feel free to pick whatever outfits you want.

As Mirai Asuka - Mirai Asuka is the energetic half of Love Me Tear and the bearer of Milky Joker. You know the drill, folks. Get a long red hair and make sure the pigtails you're working on matches Mirai's look. It may sounds intermediate but feel free to do some outfits when you're done sorting out Mirai's hairstyle.

...and there you have it folks! With the hairstyle set and with the outfit of your choosing, you can have your own Aikatsu Friends cosplay anytime you want and oh, you can have a buddy who has an interest to this new Aikatsu series as well since this is what the name of this new show means. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy this new Aikatsu adventure as well as the new cosplays inspired by this new show you'll be working on soon. Until then, see you onstage!

How to dress as Sakura Kinomoto

A lifetime ago, at the corner of our childhood, we watched the original Cardcaptor Sakura and we fell in love in this beautiful magical girl masterpiece by CLAMP about a young girl who accidentally released a mysterious set of Clow Cards everywhere and was destined to seal the cards to avert an impending cataclysm. Yes, we all love that show from the late 90's, even myself, which led me to my wretched childhood because of my show (thank you, my old friends from school for that).

Finally, the arrival of the brand new Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card series signals the triumphant return of our favorite CLAMP masterpiece. In this new show, Sakura is entering middle school with her old friends, even her bestie Tomoyo, and with the return of Syaoran, the Hong Kong chap who was once Sakura's foe in the original series' Clow Card arc and later became (ahem) close to each other in the Sakura Card arc of the series, it should have been the best day of her life. However, a mysterious new threat emerges from her dreams and if that wasn't enough, the cards went blank. In the face of these new threats, the legendary Cardcaptor Sakura steps out from her retirement and she sets off for a brand new adventure uncovering the truth while doing what she does best; sealing cards to stop a major disaster and save the day!

I hope you folks enjoyed watching the new series and in honor of this new show that kicked off the year 2018 with a RELEASE, it's time to tell you how to dress as Sakura as seen in the brand new series!

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card

First, the hair: Although this is new, her hair is almost as similar from her hairstyle from the original series 20 years ago. Here's one for you; the CLAMP ladies took her hairstyle from that other Sakura from their work, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, but toned it down a little so the fans can see a much matured look. Yes, her hair is light brown and short but you need to match the details if you want to recreate her hairstyle. Did you know that ACOS can sell you a wig modeled after her for around 9,000 yen (taxes and fees included)? If you got that budget, you can get that wig right away but if not, do a little DIY to recreate her hairstyle.

The outfit: Since she's in middle school, her school uniform is different than the one from the original series but still has that black and white motif to it like the original. The folks from ACOS can sell you an inch replica of the Tomoeda Middle School girls' uniform for 13,000 Yen (plus tax and delivery) but since Sakura's best friend is good at the wardrobe department, she wears different kinds of outfits and it will be all up to you to pick whichever outfit you like for your Sakura Kinomoto cosplay. Either the outfit she wore in the opening sequence, the one when she caught the Siege Card, the other when she caught the Aqua Card, heck, there are different outfits to choose from so don't be shy.

Props: In the Clear Card TV series, Sakura now wields the power of the Dream Wand to seal the newest threats called the Clear Cards and then use them in case of an emergency. Takara Tomy will sell you replicas of Sakura's new Dream Wand or even the Dream Key necklace this April with the Dream Wand toy starting at 18,000 Yen (plus tax and delivery) and the Dream Key necklace starting at 3,500 Yen (plus tax and delivery). Sadly, it will be too late to don one of these items if you're in the rush of donning that new Sakura cosplay in case of Spring anime and comic book conventions (better be creative, ladies. A little DIY won't hurt) but in case of Summer or Fall conventions, these items will put a shine to your Sakura cosplay. The Dream Key necklace looks beautiful with your Sakura cosplay when you tuck it out like what Sakura does but holding the Dream Wand replica, that's the real cherry of the cake.

...and there you have it, ladies. Tips on how to dress as Sakura Kinomoto as seen in the brand new Clear Card series. It's incredibly beautiful, incredibly cute, and sadly, a drastic bust in the wallet because I did some calculation, of course.

Overall, it will set you around 28,000 Yen (around $255 or Php 13,100) for the Sakura wig, the uniform, and the Dream Key necklace or 43,400 Yen (around $400 or Php 20,300) for the wig, the uniform, and the Dream Wand replica. Add a little shipping fee to it and that bumps to around 30,000 to 45,000 Yen (or more). Ouch, or in Sakura's words, HOEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Still, for big-spending cosplayers who think "cosplay time is money", it's money well spent on these items to recreate the new look of everyone's favorite magical girl who's always have a card for every dangerous situation she come across.

Good luck recreating the new Sakura cosplay!

How to dress as Nate or Hailey Anne

The world of Yo-Kai Watch can be downright hilarious and downright messy if you are either Nate (with Jibanyan and Whisper alongside) or Hailey Anne (with USApyon alongside) but because of your Yo-Kai Watch, you might be able to find the spirits causing so many mess in the human world faster than Whisper flicking his Yo-Kai Pad endlessly. Let's admit it, we're all fans of Level 5's popular video game franchise that spawned a TV anime series, a plethora of toys, movies that come out every holiday season, and the dance steps that became the trending topic in every Japanese household.

We always wanted to dress as one of the Yo-Kai Watch users as seen in the games and the TV series because if we're the ones to blame the supernatural for everyday nuisance, we've come to the right spot and today, it's time for me, your honorary Whisper of the day, will show you how to dress as the stars of Yo-Kai Watch.

As Nate:

Keita Amano (or Nate) is an average kid who became a Yo-Kai Watch user after his fateful encounter with the so-called Yo-Kai butler Whisper after releasing him from a mysterious vending machine while he was busy catching bugs in the summer. With the Yo-Kai Watch, Nate can encounter different kinds of Yo-Kais making too much trouble in the human world.

Because of the change in times, I decided to pick Nate's current costume as seen in the current Yo-Kai Watch series, especially the YW3 Sushi/Tempura/Sukiyaki games, but he wears two kinds of outfits depending on the season so let's begin with...

NATE'S SPRING/SUMMER OUTFIT:
  • First, get a brown hair and make sure it's as spiky as Nate's.
  • In the current series, Nate wears a sky blue shirt, and a red short-sleeved polo shirt with a star on each sleeve. Feel free to recreate that look.
  • Then, get some beige pants and then trim it to about 80% coverage. Feel free to add some bits on each side if you wish.
  • As for footwear, it has to be brown, short boots.
  • To complete the look, you'll need the toy replica of the Yo-Kai Watch DREAM. Of course, you can pick whatever Yo-Kai Watch you want, even the old Yo-Kai Watch U Prototype toy but the Yo-Kai Watch DREAM is my recommendation to this look. For optional consideration; buy the new Crystal Treasure skin for the Yo-Kai Watch DREAM in case you're going to summon a mystery legend.
  • OPTIONAL: Get a plush toy of either Whisper, Jibanyan, or both.
NATE'S AUTUMN/WINTER OUTFIT:
  • Like the last one, get a brown hair and make sure it's as spiky as Nate's.
  • There are three upper outfits on this getup; a black-and-white striped T-shirt, a white hoodie without a zipper, and a red jacket with some zipper on it. Be sure to have those in the shopping list while you can but the white hoodie can be a tricky find.
  • After that, get some green cargo trousers that matches his.
  • Shoes? Blue Converse shoes. Sort of...
  • Like before, any Yo-Kai Watch replica toy but the Yo-Kai Watch DREAM is the recommendation. And as an option; a Yo-Kai plush of either Whisper, Jibanyan, or both.

As Hailey Anne:

Inaho Misora (or Hailey Anne) is a proper sci-fi geek and anime otaku who first encountered USApyon in a middle of the alleyway when the space watch toy she bought at the store was actually a Yo-Kai Watch. With Hailey Anne and USApyon as partners, they've been through different adventures such as how to build a rocket, solving mysteries like detectives, drawing attention from the FBY agents, and more. Deep down, she can be a real pain in Nate's back side because she's a Yo-Kai Watch user like him and they can be the fiercest of rivals, if you may.

Like Nate, Hailey Anne wears two different outfits depending on the season so let's begin with...

HAILEY ANNE'S SPRING/SUMMER OUTFIT:
  • Short, puffy, and purplish. That's what describe Hailey Anne's hair like so feel free to recreate her hairstyle. Oh, and don't forget her glasses.
  • Hailey Anne wears a sky blue T-shirt and a pink cardigan so put that in your shopping list if you are going to dress as her.
  • Below, Hailey Anne wears a beige and short A-line skirt and some blue leggings. Add that to the list as well.
  • Lastly, you'll going to need some yellow shoes to finish the look or not because you're going to need one last thing...
  • In the TV show, she uses a Yo-Kai Watch U Prototype. Feel free to find a toy replica of her Yo-Kai Watch online and for optional consideration, the VersionU2 skin for the Yo-Kai Watch U Prototype toy.
  • OPTIONAL: Hailey Anne's partner Yo-Kai is some space otter named USApyon and if you're going to be like her, you're going to need a plush toy of her Yo-Kai partner.
HAILEY ANNE'S AUTUMN/WINTER OUTFIT:
  • Like before, get a purple hair and make sure it's short and puffy, just like Hailey Anne's.
  • On the top, be sure to wear a sky blue sweater and a pink long jacket but make sure it's not too puffy, not too long, or not too leathery. It's about as similar as Hailey Anne's.
  • Below, she wears a short, brownish A-line skirt that is now over the knee and then, some dark red leggings. Be sure to have those alongside the ones on the top.
  • As for shoes, you're going to need some short gray boots for this.
  • Like before, a Yo-Kai Watch U Prototype toy and an optional VersionU2 skin for it. Also, the USApyon plush toy if necessary.
...and there you have it. Dressing as one of the Yo-Kai Watch users of the show, you're off for some supernatural shenanigans in case you're off into your next convention or go trick-or-treating but either way, not only you'll look just like one of them but you're ready for some hilarious misadventures with your favorite Yo-Kais!

How to dress as Aikatsu Stars characters PART 2

It's the Aikatsu franchise's 5th anniversary so let's celebrate by teaching you how to be as one of your favorite Aikatsu idols. I already talked about how to be as your favorite Aikatsu characters from Ichigo to Akari. Now, it's time to talk about how to be the stars of Aikatsu Stars. Ahem, the TV show, not the girl group behind the Aikatsu songs.

Aikatsu Stars (movie)

In Aikatsu Stars Season 2, Yume Nijino's role as one of the members of S4 has been tested when the brand she used to bear, My Little Heart, is now under the hands of her powerful new rival named Aria Futaba, and as Elza's dream to attain the powerful Sun dress draws near, how can Yume and her friends save the school's reputation while dealing with this new kind of crisis?

Anyway, while we wait for the outcome, now it's the ideal time to talk about the Venus students. Traveling around the world on the Venus Ark, they've collected the best and brightest students from across the globe to nurture them into elite students unleashing the full capabilities of their talents. For Yume and the others, this is a challenge because they've been to the belly of the beast during the long summer months while reuniting with Koharu. This season introduces the Star Premium Rare dress, a powerful kind of dress representing the planets of the solar system and once all nine SPRs have been unleashed, the legendary Sun dress will be unleashed, and whoever possesses it promises the ultimate power.

The Venus students are pretty much like the ones from the Dream Academy in the original Aikatsu series, putting the heat on the main characters' reputations with their pride, prestige, and some swagger. If you enjoyed getting to know the Venus students in the second season, now's your chance to be like them.

As Elza Forte: Elza is the Venus star student and the one in charge of the Venus Ark. Her ultimate plot is to witness every idol's Star Premium Rare outfits, including herself, in order to gain control of the legendary Sun dress. She bears the Perfect Queen name and the Venus Star Premium Dress. Eventually though, cosplaying Elza can be somewhat an intermediate feat. Well, there is a trick for that; her long hair has a grapefruit-themed color; red and pink. 80% of her hair is colored red while 20% is pink. In translation, get a long red hair and paint the front bits pink, which involved dipping it into a pink dye. With that sorted, you are free to recreate her outfits; either her Venus uniform or her Perfect Queen outfits, and ultimately her Star Premium Rare outfit.

As Kirara Hanazono: Kirara is the Venus student who bears the new Fuwa Fuwa Dream name and when Ako first encountered her, the two became fierce rivals. Later, Kirara finally made a 50-50 deal with Ako to share the Fuwa Fuwa Dream name and they finally buried the hatchet. Growing up in New Zealand, Kirara goes around with her sheep friend Caroline. Oh, and watch out for her facial expression because when Kirara gets on with her signature facial expression, keep your heads down. She can be a real battering ram. Kirara boasts the most technical hairstyle known to many because if you got the hair colored with a mixture of baby blue and baby pink, her trademark hairstyle will be essentially difficult for the first time. Happily, this problem can be sorted out with a pink ribbon as it requires you to make braided pigtails, apply ribbons to them, and the complicating bit; tying the braids to make it as round as Kirara's. If you get this one right, save it while working on the costumes, especially the Fuwa Fuwa Dream outfits and the Mercury Star Premium Rare dress.

As Rei Kizaki: Rei is Elza's right-hand ally and she's excellent at swordplay. She is the bearer of the Royal Sword name and the Uranus Star Premium Dress. Unlike the first two, recreating Rei is as simple as putting a short white wig on your head as long as it matches Rei's. Then, you're up for the outfits.

As Aria Futaba: When Yume Nijino finally became an S4 and established her own name and with Hime Shiratori graduated from Yotsuboshi Gakuin, the future of the My Little Heart name is set to stone until someone finally picked it up. Enter Aria Futaba. Angelic voice aside, Aria was recruited by Elza to become part of Venus because she bears the Jupiter Star Premium Rare dress. Anyway, since she's the newest addition to the cast, this is the first time you will attempt to dress as Aria to do that, find a long light green colored wig to work with and then make sure the twintails match Aria's. With that sorted, start deciding on the outfits to wear. Cue the Misty Terrain, ladies.

...and there we have it. Having covered up every single Aikatsu star from Ichigo, Akari, to Yume, every Aikatsu star is unique in each and every way, and when it comes to cosplay as your favorite Aikatsu stars, regardless of whatever outfit of your choosing, the results do vary from good to great, so feel free to decide whichever Aikatsu star you want to be as in your next anime convention. I'm sure you'll going to have a fantastic time in honor of the Aikatsu franchise's 5th anniversary.

Good luck!

How to dress as Aikatsu Stars characters

It's the Aikatsu franchise's 5th anniversary so let's celebrate by teaching you how to be as one of your favorite Aikatsu idols. I already talked about how to be as your favorite Aikatsu characters from Ichigo to Akari. Now, it's time to talk about how to be the stars of Aikatsu Stars. Ahem, the TV show, not the girl group behind the Aikatsu songs.

Aikatsu Stars (movie)

First aired on TV Tokyo in the spring of 2016, Aikatsu Stars is the successor story of the hit Aikatsu franchise and it centers on a brand new story of friends Yume Nijino and Rola Sakuraba as they are going to fulfill their quest to become the school's finest idols in the same way the four elite students, called the S4, did with their pride and prestige. Using their Aikatsu Cards, the stage is theirs to amaze the spectators.

With the show doing pretty well on TV Tokyo's Thursday night anime block, how's about the time to tell the cosplay world on how to be as one of the Aikatsu Stars characters? It's the Aikatsu franchise's 5th anniversary after all so let's get cracking.

As Yume Nijino: Yume Nijino is the star of the TV series and her goal in her adventure at the Yotsuboshi Gakuin is to be one of the few who can surpass the S4, especially Hime Shiratori. To be Yume, it's best to find a long blond hair and then give it some nice twintails to it. Be advised that her blond hair has some pink gradation on it so how about spray some pink paint below the hair before making twin tails on it. For a final touch, add a ribbon to the left side of your hair. With the hairstyle set, feel free to choose whatever outfits you want; either a standard uniform from season one, the S4 uniform from season 2, and more recently, the Rainbow Berry Parfait outfits.

As Rola Sakuraba: Rola bears the same ambition as Yume and together, they are both friends and rivals at the academy. Unlike Yume who bears cuteness, Rola's taste for rock and roll really suits her onstage. No wonder in Season 2 she bears the Spice Chord name from the now-graduated Tsubasa Kisaragi. She's also bearing the craziest ponytail ever attempted to those who had a pink hair and make do with it but if you really did attempt to recreate Rola's hairstyle, then congratulations. You are free to pick outfits for this cosplay. Oh, and mind the big taiyaki costume.

As Hime Shiratori: Hime is one of Yotsuboshi's elite students known as the S4 and the one Yume idolizes at from the very beginning. She bears the My Little Heart name, which Yume shares from her at the start. Being Hime is as simple as having a long blonde hair and a sky blue ribbon to contemplate the look. Then, feel free to select her outfits ranging from the S4 uniform or any of the My Little Heart outfits.

As Tsubasa Kisaragi: One of the coolest members of the S4, Tsubasa is the bearer of the Spice Chord name, which Rola inherited from her. Recreating Tsubasa for this kind of cosplay is as easy as a simple long blue hair and some added ponytail on it. Then, you are free to pick any of her outfits ranging from her S4 uniform and her Spice Chord outfits, just to know how elite she is.

As Yuzu Nikaido: Yuzu is quite the happiest S4 member and so happy, she even remained on duty when her colleagues' post were inherited from Yume, Ako, and Mahiru. She is the bearer of the Shiny Smile name. As we all know, a long blonde hair is the starting point to recreate Yuzu but the crazy bit is recreating her pom-pom twin-tail look which requires patience. If you got her pom-pom twin-tail look right, you are free to select her outfits for this cosplay.

As Yozora Kasumi: Yozora is the fashionable member of the S4 and she belonged to a very successful family. She has been in every issue of the AIKATSU STYLE girls magazine, making her a photogenic idol in her own right. There's nothing special about her hairstyle, really. Just a long brown hair and that will do the trick. Then, feel free to select her outfits whatever you like.

As Koharu Nanakura: Koharu is Yume's childhood friend and when it comes to fashion trends, Koharu's come prepared. However, following Yume's onstage incident, Koharu left to Italy with her family without saying goodbye to Yume. In Season 2, the two reunited at Venus Ark and Koharu's under Elza's control as her designer but thanks to Yume's friendship, Koharu is back at the academy where she belongs and now enlisted as the designer for Yume's brand new Rainbow Berry Parfait line of outfits. Her hair is short and lavender colored while bearing a flowery hair accessory to her right. If you managed to get this simple hairstyle right, the outfits are up to you; either the standard uniform, the intermediate uniform (the one with the purple jacket on it), the Venus uniform, or any of the outfits she wore in the show.

As Ako Saotome: If there's something to describe about Ako Saotome, it's because she's caught in a love triangle against Yume over a member of the M4 named Subaru. Well, never mind about that but to be Ako, first try to get a long orange hair to work with and then the top has to look like a big bow. Then, the finishing touch would be Ako's trademark ribbon which will take about a fortnight to recreate it from arts and crafts. Once settled, the rest is up to you.

As Mahiru Kasumi: Mahiru is the youngest sister of S4's Yozora and M4's Asahi. Yes, greatness runs in the family, but what makes Mahiru different to the family is she knows karate. Her hairstyle is based on her long peach-colored hairdo but what's on her left is everyone's guess or dare so feel free to recreate Mahiru's hairstyle anytime if you like before picking whatever outfits you like.

As Lily Shirogane: Lily is a girl of a mystery. No one knows who she really is, except she and Yuzu are close friends. She is the bearer of the Gothic Victoria name. Her hair is white and long so this should be easy but the difficult bit is her signature hair accessory in her right side, which would take a fake purple gem, fake purple feathers, and some purple felt paper to make it. Clippings recommended. Once done, the outfits are up to you. Cue the chainsaws, ladies.

Next time, I'll explain to you how to dress as the Venus students from Season 2!

How to dress as Aikatsu characters (Part 3)

It's the Aikatsu franchise's 5th anniversary so let's celebrate by teaching you how to be as one of your favorite Aikatsu idols but because we have the original Aikatsu and the latest Aikatsu Stars, let's focus first on the original just for nostalgia purposes.

The final season of the Aikatsu anime series, dubbed the Akari Generation, centers on Akari Ozora as the main character of the series and with Akari replacing Ichigo as the main character of the final season, Akari's accompanied by her new friends Sumire and Hinaki on their journey to become the academy's top idols, no matter what lays ahead of them.

The Akari Generation arc of the Aikatsu introduces new and unique characters and how to recreate as them can be either easy or hard, depending on which character you want to be. So, without further ado, let's begin. And oh, kids, ask your parents first before doing so.

As Akari Ozora: Akari, now being the main character in the final season of Aikatsu, is more than just being matured enough to become an idol. In fact, her look has changed since we first met her in an earlier season. For her look, you should need a semi-long orange hair and a midsize pink ribbon to complete the look. If you have a ribbon, try making her left tail of her hair using it but be sure the ribbon's just the right size. When finished, the outfits are up to you.

As Sumire Hikami: Sumire is one of Akari's friends whose hobby is fortune-telling. To be her, you'll need a long light purple hair and a blue ribbon to your right and that's it. Then, you are in charge on the outfits of your desire.

As Hinaki Shinjo: Hinaki's one of Akari's friends who has interests over fashionable Aikatsu cards. A short blond hair would do the job well but what you should be worrying about is her front right braid that takes about a fortnight.

As Juri Kurebayashi: Juri is a second-year student of the Starlight Academy and her dad is Spanish who works as a culinary chef, that's why where she got her Spanish tongue from. Juri's one of the trickiest Aikatsu characters to recreate with because her red hair takes some extreme curling to recreate her look and then some hair ornament to complete her look. Once done, you can pick whatever outfits you want. Spanish lessons optional. Enchendes? Bueno.

As Rin Kurosawa: A street dancer turned idol, Rin is the bearer of the Dance Fusion brand. Now, I should talk about how to pull Rin's hairstyle off and if you need to recreate her look, trying picturing...well, let's cut to the chase...Harley Quinn. Just kidding, her hair is whitish with some red bit on her right and she has a blue ribbon headband that takes about a fortnight.

As Madoka Amahane: Madoka's hairstyle is colored pink with twintails on it but what you should be worrying about is her angel wing hair accessory so a little DIY is necessary to recreate her hair accessory. Once done, feel free to select an outfit for this cosplay.

As Nono Daichi: Nono is one of the two idols of the academy who hails from Hokkaido and uses the Dolly Devil brand. To recreate her hairstyle, first you need to find a long hair with light brown color and then work with the twintails. Once done, start working on the outfits of your choosing.

As Risa Shirakaba: Like Nono, Risa is hailed from Hokkaido before she got transferred to the Starlight Gakuin and bear the Dolly Devil brand like her compatriot. If you managed to maintain that long black hair of yours, just disregard this advice, except you need to work on her purplish ribbon headband accessory. Once done, feel free to choose which outfits you want to wear.

As Miyabi Fujiwara: Miyabi's originally from Kyoto and while she has a Kansai dialect, she is the bearer of the ultra-mysterious Sakurairo Kaden brand. To be Miyabi, first you need a long dark brown hair to begin with. Then, work with those pigtails on the front and her signature hair accessories, and presto! Miyabi cosplay! Wait, if you're done replicating her look, the outfits are up to you.

As Kokone Kurisu: Kokone was a transfer student from the Etoile Academy to begin her life anew at Starlight Gakuin. To be Kokone, you first need some orange hairdo that is big enough to recreate her big ponytail and then finish it with a big lime green ribbon. Once done, the outfits are up to you.

As Nina Dojima: Nina's an Osaka girl who studying idol courses from a distant school but you can't really resist her unique personality. Be careful though that unlike any Aikatsu character, recreating Nina will be extremely difficult because it's hard to make a hairdo with a sky blue-pink gradient on it and with some roundy bits on the top. If you're skilled enough to recreate her hairstyle, you should have a star...on your right cheek.

And that's the rest of the stars of the Aikatsu anime series you can recreate as for your next cosplay plans. Next time, let's shift gears on the stars of the current Aikatsu Stars anime series where I'll explain to you how to be like Yume, Rola, and the others! Until then, gracias minna, ciao.
