NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Thermal $1 Million Challenge

This is IndyCar's equivalent of the NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE, the Thermal $1 Million Challenge. As the name implies, the winner gets half the prize while the other half will be donated to the driver's charity of choice.

As Felix Rosenqvist wins Heat 1 and Alex Palou wins Heat 2, the first non-points race in IndyCar history since 2008 has kicked off with 20 laps to decide who will win the $1 million challenge. With no single incident, this race became smooth sailing for Palou and he locked his eyes on the million-dollar prize.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series has officially begun on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

Josef Newgarden leads the grid as the green flag waved followed by some tight racing at the start until Lap 26 saw Marcus Armstrong crash to the tire wall and become the first to retire. 

As the race resumed in Lap 30, Christian Lundgaard was leading while the others behind him were flexing their muscles, trying to outgun themselves. 

With the race having 32 laps to go, a collision by Romain Grosjean cost Linus Lundqvist's race, and with 15 laps to go, pitstop issues kicked Grosjean out of the race.

After a thrilling season opener, Josef Newgarden wins the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Pato O'Ward finished 2nd and Scott McLaughlin finished 3rd.

The next race is the Thermal $1 Million Challenge this Palm Sunday, March 24th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey

Laguna Seca is the final destination for the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series with the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. As Alex Palou already garnered his championship title back in Portland, it's everybody's game now.

As the green flag waved, the final race of the 2023 season has begun. The opening lap saw a disaster as five cars slipped at the first corner when Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden got into contact. As the race resumes on lap 6, Felix Rosenqvist remains in the lead. Two laps later, another caution was triggered when Josef Newgarden got spun and hit at turn 4.

Continuing in Lap 12, the recent champion Alex Palou is leading while Will Power and Felix Rosenqvist are catching up. However, in Lap 29, Marcus Ericsson got hit by a recoil following a collision with Rosenqvist.

Back in action in Lap 41, Palou remains in the lead while Pato O Ward and Romain Grosjean are catching up. In Lap 57, a disaster for the champion as he went off the track and got stuck while dealing with Devlin DeFrancesco. Come Lap 63, another caution is triggered when the #14 car and Blomqvist got into a messy situation at Turn 1. With 29 laps to go, another disaster in the Seca when Ericsson and Armstrong collided in the final corner.

23 laps to go, Romain Grosjean slips through Pato O'Ward for the lead but two laps later, Helio Castroneves and Colton Herta collided, triggering another full course caution.

After an intense finale, Scott Dixon won the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey while Scott McLaughlin finished in 2nd and Alex Palou finished in 3rd.

With the 2023 season officially done, Alex Palou cemented his status as the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series champion.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series continues in Portland International Raceway for the Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland, the penultimate race of the season.

As the green flag waved, the action in the Pacific Northwest was underway with an opening lap disaster for Romain Grosjean when he and Callum Ilott collided. Come Lap 3, Will Power got slipped at Turn 4, triggering a yellow flag.

Lap 7 restart, Graham Rahal was leading until he went to the pits on Lap 23 with Alex Palou nabbing his lead while Scott Dixon and Pato O'Ward were behind him. Lap 30 saw drama for the Arrow team with O'Ward going off track to avoid Felix Rosenqvist.

As Dixon leads in Lap 49 with the two Arrow drivers behind him, Lap 52 saw Scott McLaughlin losing places. With 30 laps to go, Marcus Armstrong's pit stop hits a snag followed by Agustin Canapino slipping off track three laps later, triggering another full course caution.

As the race restarts with 22 laps to go, more drama ensues a lap later when Alexander Rossi made contact with Marcus Ericsson and then went over the track limits. With 4 laps to go, Colton Herta slipped away.

After a thrilling bout at the Pacific Northwest, Alex Palou wins the Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland followed by Felix Rosenqvist and Scott Dixon.

After Portland, Palou claimed the championship title after leading the leaderboards with 618 points while Scott Dixon is now 91 points behind and Josef Newgarden is in 3rd with 470 points.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Bommarito Automotive Group 500

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series continues in the World Wide Technology Raceway for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, the last oval race of the season.

As the green flag waved, the last oval race of the 2023 IndyCar season was on with Benjamin Pedersen the first to trigger the caution following a first-lap incident. Lap 10 restart, Josef Newgarden leads while David Malukas and Pato O'Ward make bold moves. Lap 60 saw Callum Ilott enter the pits following a light hit at the final turn. Come Lap 122, another caution was triggered when Takuma Sato got spun.

Resuming on Lap 135, Scott Dixon is leading the race while the drivers behind him are doubling down. As Colton Herta and Felix Rosenqvist fending each other at Lap 155, Dixon pits with just 65 laps to go. However, with just 49 laps left, Josef Newgarden made contact with the wall, costing his championship chances.

After all the drama in St. Louis, Scott Dixon won the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, his 55th career win, while Pato O'Ward finished 2nd and David Malukas finished 3rd.

After St. Louis, Alex Palou leads with 565 points while Scott Dixon is in 2nd with 491 points, and Josef Newgarden's in 3rd with 440 points.

There are two races left this season and the next race will be in Portland for the Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland this September 3rd.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Gallagher Grand Prix

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series returns to Indianapolis Grand Prix for the Gallagher Grand Prix, part of the weekend of American motorsports shared between IndyCar and NASCAR.

As the green flag waved, the action at the Brickyard is on with Christian Lundgaard being challenged on the inside while Will Power went airborne and Alex Palou, Scott Dixon, and Josef Newgarden got involved in a collision course, triggering the first yellow flag of the race.

Restarted on Lap 7, Devlin Defrancesco leads the way over Graham Rahal, only to be overtaken two laps later. Come Lap 28, as Scott Dixon leads, Christian Lundgaard slips through Alexander Rossi. Come Lap 52, Lungaard comes to the pits.

With 23 laps to go, Scott Dixon climbed all the way to third place after a pit stop and then surged his way back to the top as the end is near.

In the end, Scott Dixon wins the Gallagher Grand Prix, beating the likes of Graham Rahal. Pato O'Ward, meanwhile, finished 3rd.

After the action at the Brickyard, Alex Palou leads with 539 points while Scott Dixon jumped to 2nd with 438 points and Josef Newgarden's in 3rd with 434 points.

The next race is at World Wide Technology Raceway for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 this August 27th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Big Machine Music City Grand Prix

The Music City of Nashville, Tennessee is the next stop for the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series with the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix and this race will be the last time they'll be using this format because in next year's season finale, there will be a new circuit layout in Music City. The drivers are giving the outgoing Nashville track layout a proper sendoff before shifting to the new one next year.

As the green flag waved, the action in Nashville is on with Scott McLaughlin on front while Colton Herta going all-out and the others have gone no holds barred. However, in Lap 12, David Malukas is the first to surrender when his car caught up in smoke. 

Halfway through the race, the racers are edging at each other until in Lap 46, Devlin Defrancesco faced a minor problem at Turn 9. As McLaughlin overtook Romain Grosjean in Lap 49, Rinus Veekay got pushed over by Alexander Rossi a lap later. With the race has 10 laps to go, Linus Lundqvist's day is done following a crash followed by Jack Harvey a lap later.

Six laps left, a triple whammy from Rosenqvist, Canapino, and Pedersen triggered a red flag.

After a thrilling Nashville action, Kyle Kirkwood wins the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix while Scott McLaughlin finished 2nd and Alex Palou finished 3rd.

Onto the standings, Alex Palou is leading with 513 points while Josef Newgarden's in 2nd with 429 points and Scott Dixon's in third with 387 points.

The next race is at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Gallagher Grand Prix this August 12.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Hy-Vee One Step 250

The two-part Iowa weekend of the NTT IndyCar Series 2023 concludes with the Hy-Vee One Step 250 and having learned their lessons from the previous Iowa fight, looks like the drivers are going full force to end this Iowa weekend by all means.

As the green flag waved, the final part of the Iowa IndyCar weekend is on with Will Power leading while the others behind him are going all out. Come Lap 31, Newgarden slips through two places and snatched the lead. Such a bold move for yesterday's winner. However, in Lap 88, the first caution of the race is triggered when an Argentinian rookie Agustin Canapino collided with the wall.

As the race restarted on Lap 107, with Newgarden leading, Scott McLaughlin came out of nowhere and snatched Newgarden's lead. However, come Lap 157, Sting Ray Robb lost a tire and another caution is out.

Come Lap 189, as the race restarted, Newgarden leads but with 11 laps to go, Ryan Hunter-Reay smacked the wall.

Josef Newgarden swept the entire Iowa two-parter with the recent win, beating the likes of Will Power and Alex Palou.

After Iowa, Alex Palou is still leading with 477 points while Josef Newgarden is in 2nd place with 397 points, and Scott Dixon is in third with 357 points.

The next race is another street race. It's the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville, TN this August 6th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Hy-Vee Homefront 250

Iowa is the next stop for the NTT IndyCar Series 2023 with the Hy-Vee Homefront 250, the first of the two-part Iowa Speedway action.

As the green flag waved, the first part of the Iowa action begins as Will Power stormed his way to the lead, until he went to the pits on Lap 62 alongside Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden, among others. Come Lap 108, McLaughlin takes the heat while Will Power and Josef Newgarden fence at each other for the lead. Come Lap 121, Newgarden snatched Power's lead. In Lap 155, Graham Rahal is out of the race following damage to the steering. Lap 167 saw Pato O'Ward surging his way to the podium thanks to some fresh new tires. With 41 laps to go, there's been some trouble at the pits as Benjamin Pedersen and Devlin DeFrancesco collided with each other.

Despite his disappointing qualifying results, Josef Newgarden wins the first part of the Iowa campaign while Scott McLaughlin finished 2nd and Pato O'Ward finished 3rd.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Honda Indy Toronto

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series goes up north to the streets of Toronto, Canada, for the Honda Indy Toronto street race.

As the green flag waved, the most intense street racing action up north has begun with Christian Lundgaard on the pole but the opener saw a multi-car incident that ground a few on a halt. As the race restarts on Lap 10, Lungaard is still leading the race but the drivers are catching up. As Lungaard went to the pits, Lap 20 saw Scott McLaughlin on the lead while Pato O'Ward is catching up. As Lungaard surges back to the lead, from McLaughlin, Lap 42 saw Romain Grosjean crash to the wall.

Halfway through the race Lap 46 saw Helio Castroneves tripped on the last corner and as the race restarts on Lap 52, McLaughlin leads while the drivers are on a daring catch-up marathon. In Lap 61, Scott Dixon leads while McLaughlin enters the pits, only to be overtaken by Lundgaard a lap later.

After a gripping race day in the streets of Toronto, Christian Lundgaard nailed his first-ever IndyCar win, beating the likes of Alex Palou and Colton Herta.

With the Toronto street race done, Alex Palou is still leading with 417 points, 117 points ahead of Scott Dixon, while Josef Newgarden's in third with 291 points.

The next race is at Iowa Speedway for the Hy-Vee Homefront 250 this July 22nd.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Honda Indy 200

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series continues with the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, one of the most intense races that happened on the 4th of July long weekend.

As the green flag waved, the action in Mid-Ohio is underway with an opening chaos for Marcus Ericsson and Felix Rosenqvist as the two Swedes were involved in a fender-bender, triggering a caution. The race restarts at Lap 6 with Colton Herta leading. On Lap 29, just as Graham Rahal exited the pits, Colton Herta swoops through Rahal for P6 while Alex Palou zaps his way to first after leaving the pits in P3 a lap later.

Come Lap 55, Herta sadly got slapped with a penalty, while Lap 57 saw drama at the pits for Graham Rahal. The rest is a long story short.

In the end, Alex Palou delivered his three-win streak this season in Mid-Ohio while Scott Dixon finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd. Palou is now 110 points ahead of Dixon, 377 vs 267.

The next race is on the streets of Toronto for the Honda Indy Toronto this July 16th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Sonsio Grand Prix

The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series continues with the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America. What a way to celebrate Father's Day with a dramatic 55-lap battle royale in Wisconsin.

As the green flag waved, the 55-lap action in Road America is underway with the opening laps seeing Newgard and Lundgaard get involved in a slightly messy contact but the #45 recovers to the track while Felix Rosenqvist got nudged and Romain Grosjean went out of bounds. Rinus Veekay and rookie driver Marcus Armstrong got penalized for unsafe release at the pits. Halfway through the race, Alex Palou storms into the lead and stayed that way.

Alex Palou wins the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America while Josef Newgarden finished 2nd and Pato O'Ward finished 3rd.

After Road America, Palou maintains his lead with 273 points, 51 points ahead of Marcus Ericsson.

The next race is the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio this July 2.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix has been given the biggest overhaul in over a decade featuring an all-new street course set in the streets of Detroit, giving IndyCar veterans and rookies more of a challenge tackling through this new Detroit playhouse.

As the green flag waved, the reborn Detroit action is on with an opening disaster for Callum Illot as a collision with Kyle Kirkwood pushed him out of the race. As the race resumed, plenty of drama occurred with Pato O'Ward crashing out of the race at Turn 9 on Lap 43, Sting Ray Robb going out of bounds on Lap 49, Romain Grosjean's collision course in Lap 82, David Malukas on Lap 87, and climactic drama between Santino Ferucci and Sting Ray Robb on Lap 92.

Although this is known to be the Chevrolet Grand Prix, a driver of the Honda-powered IndyCar managed to spoil the party as Alex Palou nicked his second win of the season followed by Will Power and Felix Rosenqvist.

After Detroit, Palou is leading with 219 points, 20 points ahead of Marcus Ericsson, while Pato O'Ward remains 3rd with 185 points.

The next race will be the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America this June 18th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Indy 500

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indy 500 returns for its 107th year, and this year, it marks the final Indy 500 race for IndyCar legend Tony Kanaan. Parting gift aside, an all-star ensemble of veterans and rookies, including a female rookie named Katherine Legge, gathered around to find out who will be immortalized in the legendary Borg-Warner trophy.

As the green flag waved, The 107th Running of the Indianapolis 500 started as the drivers are making their first moves. Come Lap 69, Rinus Veekay fended off Pato O'Ward's surprise move to maintain his 4th-place running. In Lap 91, Tony Kanaan slips past Scott McLaughlin with two wheels off the track, but a lap later, Sting Ray Robb smashed through the wall, triggering a caution. 

Things get worse when the drivers are going to the pits in the middle of the yellow flag, Veekay smashed Palou out of the race while exiting from the pits.

Halfway through the race, Marcus Ericsson got three positions into one turn while the others made bold moves. In Lap 134, it's another pitlane drama as Colton Herta collided with Romain Grosjean while leaving the pits.

With 50 laps left, another caution was triggered when Romain Grosjean slipped, and as the race's climax draws near, the remaining drivers are going for broke until 16 laps to go when Felix Rosenqvist collided with the wall followed by an on-track disaster that sent Kyle Kirkwood flipped.

Josef Newgarden made headlines at this year's Indy 500 as he emerged victorious after closely defeating Marcus Ericsson toward Victory Lane. Santino Ferrucci, meanwhile, completes the podium with a 3rd-place finish.

This year's Indy 500 is over but the 2023 season of the NTT IndyCar Series continues with the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix this June 4th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - GMR Grand Prix

May is Indy 500 month but before the biggest spectacle of motor racing kicks off this Memorial Day weekend, IndyCar's finest aces will have to take on the Grand Prix circuit of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GMR Grand Prix.

As the green flag waved, the action at the IMS GP Circuit is on with Christian Lundgaardoff starting from the pole until the caution was triggered when David Malukas and Sting Ray Robb got collided while Kyle Kirkwood got penalized for his incident with Will Power. Halfway through the race, Alex Palou and Christian Lundgaardoff are clashing for the lead while Simon Pagenaud called it quits following a mechanical failure in the pits.

Alex Palou wins the GMR Grand Prix and he's now taken the lead in the championship standings, beating Pato O'Ward and Alexander Rossi in the fight toward victory lane. He is now six points ahead of O'Ward, 174 vs 168.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix

The Barber Motorsports Park is the next stop for the 2023 season of the NTT IndyCar Series as the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix wraps up the month of April with intense racing action IndyCar delivers.

As the green flag waved, the action at Alabama is underway and the drivers are off to an intense start. Although a yellow flag was triggered following Sting Ray Robb's incident mid-race as well as suspension damage for Josef Newgarden, that doesn't slow the Alabama action down for the drivers, especially for Scott McLaughlin gunning for an IndyCar win while fending off from Romain Grosjean.

Scott McLaughlin made headlines in Alabama after winning the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, successfully fending off Romain Grosjean in the fight to the finish line while Will Power completed the podium with a third-place finish.

After Alabama, Marcus Ericsson leads with 130 points while Pato O'Ward's three points behind him, and Alex Palou's in third with 121 points.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

The streets of Long Beach became a battleground for the biggest race events of the weekends; IndyCar and IMSA. Let's focus more on the IndyCar side of Long Beach as this race showcased the biggest upset no one saw it coming.

As the green flag waved, IndyCar's street racing action at Long Beach is on with Helio Castroneves the first to throw in the towel following an incident at the start. As the race resumes, Scott Dixon's involved in an incident followed by Pato O'Ward. Halfway through the race, rookie Agustin Canapino is out of the race followed by Scott Dixon.

After an intense street racing action at Long Beach, Kyle Kirkwood delivered the biggest upset in IndyCar history as he claimed his first career win. Romain Grosjean finished 2nd and Marcus Ericsson finished 3rd.

After Long Beach, Ericsson leads with 110 points while Pato O'Ward's in 2nd with 95 points, and Alex Palou's in third with 91 points.

The next race is at Barber Motorsports Park for the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix this April 30th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - PPG 375

After a month of waiting, the 2023 season of the NTT IndyCar Series returns with the PPG 375 oval race held at Texas Motor Speedway. It's all about the survival of the fastest in the Lone Star State.

As the green flag waved, the action in Texas is on as the drivers are going all-out, pulling out their bold moves. Come Lap 48, Takuma Sato collided with the wall and the caution is triggered. Lap 53 saw a pitlane drama when Kyle Kirkwood and Alexander Rossi got collided. 

As the race restarted on Lap 60, Josef Newgarden and Alex Palou are biting each other for the lead, and halfway through the race, Pato O'Ward's catching against Newgarden. With 72 laps to go, another caution was triggered following a mishap by Felix Rosenqvist.

41 laps left, an Indycar rookie Robb got collided with the wall and crashed out of the race, triggering another caution. 28 laps left, it's race over for Graham Rahal and Dviln Defrancesco following a crash.

As the race restarted with just 13 laps to go, it became a three-way fight between Pato O'Ward, Alex Palou, and Josef Newgarden for the lead.

After all of the drama in Texas, Josef Newgarden wins the PPG 375 race of the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series, followed by Pato O'Ward and Alex Palou.

The next race will be the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this April 16th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2023 - Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

The NTT IndyCar Series returns for its 2023 season and the new season kicks off in the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, for the Firestone Grand Prix. Who will draw first blood this season? Let's find out.

As the green flag waved, the first race of the new IndyCar season is on with a horrifying crash in the opening lap triggered a red flag with Jack Harvey badly involved and Malukas David got penalized for avoidable contact following the incident. 

As the race resumed, Scott McLaughlin and Romain Grosjean got into contact while Conor Daly's incident triggered a full course of caution as well as Colton Herta. Will Power got penalized for avoidable contact following the incident with Herta.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey

This is where it all ends for the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series as the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey is the race that will decide who will be crowned the champion. The three-way title dogfight between Will Power, Josef Newgarden, and Scott Dixon ends here.

As the green flag waved, the season finale is on and all eyes are on the three title contenders. As Will Power's dominating the early laps of the race, he went to the pits for new tires and fuel. With 25 laps down, the race is far from over as Alex Palou and Will Power are clashing for the lead. As the race intensifies, newcomer Callum Ilott suddenly stopped on track, triggering the first yellow flag of the race. 

Halfway through the race, Josef Newgarden is on the top of the game and he can really smell another title while Will Power is on the hunt on Newgarden as expected. Come Lap 73, Newgarden heads to the pits, while Alex Palou regains his lead. The clash between Newgarden and Power intensifies further as the climax draws near. Meanwhile, behind them, Marcus Ericsson and Scott McLaughlin are clashing with each other.

With 12 laps left, there's a three-way corkscrew drama between Ericsson, McLaughlin, and Colton Herta while the endgame title fight between Newgarden and Power draws near its end and Palou remains in the lead. Three laps to go, Ericsson gets messy while clashing with Alexander Rossi.

In the end, Alex Palou wins the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey while Josef Newgarden finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd. However, Will Power has been crowned the NTT IndyCar Series champion!
