The 69th Miss Universe coronation pageant was held at Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and this is the first time a Miss Universe pageant held in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world like wildfire.
Out of all the aspirants who made it to the said venue to find out who will make it to the top spot, countries like Mexico, India, Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Peru were made it to the final five spots. They've each delivered their most powerful responses during the pageant's Q&A portion.
India's Adline Castelino responded to the question regarding should countries lock down due to COVID-19 despite the strain on their economies or should they open their borders and risk a potential increase in infections by "draw a balance between economy and health."
For Peru's Janick Maceta, she has a response to all the women watching tonight who are currently experiencing sexual or domestic abuse that "they're survivors.
Brazil's Julia Gama proved the myth of women still considered incapable of being world leaders wrong by inviting women "to understand that we are the leaders of our lives."
Kimberley Jimenez of the Dominican Republic explained the importance of teaching leadership to young girls just like the previous winner Zozibini Tunzi did.
And for Mexico's Andrea Meza, she made a powerful response to the question, "If you were the leader of your country, how would you have handled the COVID-19 pandemic?" She said;
"I believe there is not a perfect way to handle this hard situation such as COVID-19.
"However, I believe that what I would have done was create the lockdown before everything became that big.
"Because we lost so many lives and we cannot afford that. We would have to take care of our people. That's why I would have taken care of them since the beginning."

After the dramatic Q&A portion, the judges have spoken. Mexico's Andrea Meza wins the 69th Miss Universe pageant and she has taken over the title from the previous winner Zozibini Tunzi.
On a side note; Filipina Rabiya Mateo made it to the Top 21 semifinalists but she failed to made it to the Top 10. Good effort, though.
