Super GT 2014: Thailand

The first ever SUPER GT race to be held at Chang International Circuit in Thailand was a spectator-worthy experience for the Thai petrolheads who turned out to be big fans of the SuperGT race and for the first ever race in this new circuit, which is the seventh round of this 2014 season, the #36 PETRONAS TOM'S RC F, driven by Kazuki Nakajima and James Rossiter, is the winner on the GT500 class while on the GT300 class, the winner goes to the #3 B-MAX NDDP GT-R driven by Kazuki Hoshino and Lucas Ordonez, the first ever Nissan GT Academy graduate.

Highlights:

So far, the #36 LEXUS TEAM PETRONAS TOM'S is in the lead on the GT500 standings while the #4 GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO is still standing at the top of the GT300 standings. The final race will be at Twin Ring Motegi on the 16th of November. Who will win the Super GT 2014 season? See you next month!

The big scoop today...

- Japan's next-gen weather satellite, the Himawari 8, was successfully launched into initial orbit as scheduled. The rocket was lifted off at precisely 2:16 PM Japan Standard Time from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan. It will be placed in a geostationary orbit about 36,000 km above the Earth and operations will commence next year.

- So far, 54 people died in the Mt. Ontake eruption that occurred on the 27th of September, 2014, the worst volcanic eruption in Japan for over seven decades.While 12 people remained missing at that time, the Japanese government had deployed a thousand police officers, firefighters, and SDF personnel to continue their search and rescue ops.

- US Vice President Joe Biden apologizes for remarks on Syria, clarifying that he didn't mean to criticize Washington's allies in the Middle East for the response to the battle against ISIS.

- The Belgian defense ministry commenced their first air strike against the ISIS in Iraq on Sunday. An F-16 fighter jet conducted the raid on the Islamic State extremists after spotting the group's unit fighting against Iraqi troops.

- As the Ebola Outbreak continues to worsen, US President Barack Obama will consider heightened airport screenings and other measures to prevent the spread of the Ebola disease.

- The Philippine Government is committed to spend billions of Pesos in funds for the creation of the politically autonomous Bangsamoro entity.

- The first Forza Horizon 2 DLC Pack has announced and for tomorrow's Mobil 1 Car Pack, there are six new cars rolling out such as the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, SRT Grand Cherokee with an 8-speed gearbox, Renault Clio RS 200 EDC, VW Scirocco 16v, Maserati 300 S, and the 1988 BMW M5. It's free for Season Pass holders.

- The Angry Birds are getting a movie this 2016! Be prepared because the birds are ready to crash the big screen!

- REPORT: The Naruto manga series which spawned a massively popular TV show, numerous movies, and an array of merchandising rights, is reaching its climax next month. Looks like the ninja saga has come to a gripping climax.

Forza Horizon 2: Challenge Stradale accepts the challenge

This is no ordinary Ferrari 360 because this is the 360 Challenge Stradale, a hardcore version of the 360 Modena that weighs less and more aerodynamic than the normal 360 because of carbon fiber door panels, removed carpets, carbon ceramic brakes, titanium wheel bolts, dual rear floor with F1-inspired flows, slightly longer nose, slightly modified sills, slightly necked boot and the rear is higher than the front. The 3.6L engine that powers it is raised to 425BHP, resulting to a 0-60mph time of four seconds.



I won this car from my first showcase event on Forza Horizon 2. It was the one where I have to race against an aerobatic squadron in the open roads of Castelleto. It was a close one but I'm glad I got my hands on this hardcore 360 that is pre-tuned to take on the next championship. I've even got the chance to use it on the road trip to Nice, France.



The 360 Challenge Stradale maybe old but it still work very well in the Southern European landscape in Forza Horizon 2 and I spent several hours showing its true capabilities as a full-blooded Ferrari by taking part in championship events suitable for its kind as a Modern Supercar but first, the 360CS needs to be dressed for the occasion...



Its make-up transformation is done...well sort of. The 360 Challenge Stradale is now ready for the event and notice this shiny gray paint on the outside, it gives out that luster and a more dramatic feel to my Challenge Stradale. I've even added some black stripes to give out that contrast. If I have time for evaluation, looks like my Challenge Stradale looks dramatic enough to cruise around the roads of Southern Europe and for racing, it wants to play rough like most cars do here.

Speaking of play rough, the 360CS is ready to take on the championship it was assigned to and it's time to show how the 360CS can do like an ace!

The Cute Wall (Volume Four)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

All right, now while my idiot pal isn't here to mess things up while I'm featuring some new batch of characters waiting to have their cuteness evaluated, let's feature our first cute character for this segment!

Tunip the Vegimal

You know this fella, don't you guys? That's Tunip the Vegimal from OCTONAUTS. Now I know Tunip, like the other Vegimals, had a very little screen presence in the show but just look at Tunip, he's so cute for a fish-vegetable hybrid kind of thingies but still, you get the idea. So, what do you think, guys? How cute is Tunip?

(audience murmuring)

Okay, for me, I guess I would put Tunip in the CUTE spot and he'll be sitting next to Mog and Catbug, is that okay with you Tunip? (Imitating Tunip)

(audience laughing)

Doc McStuffins

Yes, I know, it's the one and only toy doctor we love from Disney Junior, it's the one and only Doc McStuffins! Most kids love Doc McStuffins because she's by no means one of the cutest characters in the world of preschool shows and yes, songs like "Time for your Check-Up" and "I Feel Better" from the show, they're all stuck in my head right now and I can't get rid of these as long as babies kept tuning in on this show. (sigh)

But in my mind, she looks somewhat geeky in appearance and just look at her big eyes, she's just way too cute and too nerdy for words and I reckon that she will be in the NAKAKAGIGIL spot...which I'm putting her on it right now.

That's right! My blanket tells that she's so NAKAKAGIGIL and she fits well with Pokemon XY's Chespin because they look so geeky! Anyway, let's feature the next one

What's that? Two Minccinos? What are you going to do? Evolve one into Cinccino? Ha! I was expecting to see that coming!

Piplup

Check this out! That's Piplup from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl! For a starting Diamond Version or Pearl Version user, Piplup's one of the Sinnoh starters aside from Turtwig and Chimchar. In the TV show, this Piplup is Dawn's personal Pokemon. She and Piplup are always the best of mates and we love Piplup's cute looks for a penguin. I know, Piplup's the penguin Pokemon and I used to have a plush toy of Piplup. Boy, where did the years go... I kinda missed having a Piplup plush. (sniff) That Piplup plush looks innocent and I had this little critter before I gave it away to someone. Right now, I've moved on and I have a Chespin now so where should I put Piplup? Everyone?

(audience murmuring)

All right. If you say so. It's a CUTE for Piplup! Don't worry. Most Dawn cosplayers in times of conventions will always have a Piplup plush by their sides if they still make one.

I'm very sure you know this cute character, right? That's Sofia the First! Of course, we all love Sofia because...well, there's no other word for it...because she's cute! Just look at her? Isn't she the cutest princess in all of the wonderful world of Disney? My security blanket thinks she's so NAKAKAGIGIL probably because of the way she moves while she's wearing her trademark gown.

So, what do you think of Sofia? For me, because of her all-round cuteness, I'd decided to put her in the NAKAKAGIGIL spot! Hooray!

Whoa! Looks like we have one of the Eevee friends joining our segment. This I believe it's...a...who's that Pokemon? Sylveon? Oh! Okay! It's Sylveon! The Intertwining Pokemon and one of the evolved forms of Eevee. According to the Kalos PokeDex, Sylveon wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her. Believe it or not, we do have a plush toy of this Pokemon and my little sis enjoys it for a while...Oh, it's you again...

Phew. Managed to grab hold of Minccino's tail and chopped it.

You what?!

Some Pokemon Centers in Japan has Minccino's tail for sale. Managed to grab one to stop that little vermin from tickling me 'till I wet my pants. Clever plan, though. Wait...is that Sylveon?! One of the Fairy-type Pokemons?!

Uh-huh. And I was decide where should I put Sylveon right before you showed up grabbing Minccino's tail.

So, uh, your take? I believe I'll put this on CUTE so you don't want to make a move to get rid of it and place it to SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE.

Queen Delightful

How about this then little guy. That is Queen Delightful from The 7D. She's the Queen of Jollywood and by no means the ditziest since Black and White's Bianca.

F1 2014: Japanese GP

Following Lewis Hamilton's win at the rainy Japanese GP in Suzuka Circuit, looks like the whole world is on the focus of Marussia's Jules Bianchi as he was hospitalized after a crash with a recovery vehicle which was removing the damaged Sauber F1 car that Adrian Sutil drove during the race. Right now, Bianchi's in critical condition and we really don't know when will he recover from such a catastrophe.

Anyway, with Mercedes' Hamilton in the lead and he's 10 points ahead of his teammate Nico Rosberg and 73 points ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.

The next race will be held in Sochi, Russia, on the 12th of October for the inaugural F1 Russian GP.

Forza Horizon 2: Meet the starters!

A few days ago, I finally picked my own copy on the XBOX One version of Forza Horizon 2 and I can't wait to see what it's like to enjoy the Southern European landscape by driving coast to coast with over two hundred of the world's scorching hot rides. As I began my Southern European journey on FH2, I have a choice of three starter cars to choose from, each with their own distinctive tastes and challenges await in each.

These are the starters:

 - 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is - The second-generation of BMW's open-top roadster offers a well-balanced breed of speed and mobility.



- 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe - This classic muscle car from Chevrolet offers straight-line performance.



- 1998 Toyota Supra - One of Japan's most iconic sportscars from that decade and one of the most iconic tuners of all time even post-discontinuation.



With three starters to choose from as they began their quest for fame at Southern Europe, it's very difficult to decide which is which but you know what, it's not quite difficult to decide because some would go for the Z4 because it's a well-balanced car, others for the Camaro because of its power, and some would want to go with the Supra because it's a popular tuner for many and they can spend their cash tweaking on its performance figures.

As for me, which of these three did I choose?



I chose the Z4 because, well don't get me wrong, but this car is well suited for this landscape and since I was starting with the Z4, I can't help but trying out this German roadster for a joyride.



Be it rain or shine, the Z4 never fails to impress me and since this is FH2, I want my car to be well suited for this occasion and for that, it's time for this car to get the Horizon makeover courtesy of extensive use of the game's design creator!



Voila! My Z4 is wearing its tradition Bimmer colors and notice those M-inspired stripes I made. It's done to give out the true BMW joy from within. I've even added some of my handmade Horizon Festival racing numbers on my car and I gave it an 89 because this is the E89 model.

After extensive makeovers, I sent my Z4 to take part in the first ever championship suitable for this car somewhere in the Castelletto area of Italy.

 

Having completed my first championship, looks like I'm now primed and ready for my Southern European journey on Forza Horizon 2.

- Was Top Gear attacked by the Falklands vets? The cast and crew of the BBC hit TV series had escaped from Argentina when the car in question Jeremy Clarkson used has a plate number in reference to the Falkland War in 1982. The Falklands War veterans got so angry, they're going to take them down so that's why, the whole Top Gear team have escaped.

- Veteran comedienne Tia Pusit died on the 2nd of October, 2014, at the age of 66 years old. That was confirmed by her buddy Inday Garutay. Tia Pusit, known by her real name Myrna Villanueva, was the youngest sibling of veteran comedienne Nova Villa and her acting career began in the 80's. Her last appearance was in the TV5 comedy series Confessions of a Torpe, which stars Ogie Alcasid, Alice Dixson, and Gelli de Belen.

- If there's something strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna call? PETER GRIFFIN! Yes, and he needs you for some ghostbusting this Halloween as Family Guy Quest For Stuff features a Halloween update where a special time-limited event is currently underway and you can stand a chance to win Halloween items for your Quahog and special costumes for your favorite characters. Characters who died in the TV show are haunting your way and get a chance to win them before the time-limited event is over!

- The PS3-exclusive Free-To-Play flight shooting game Ace Combat Infinity released their Operation Bunker Shot update and this is going to be the longest mission in the campaign mode you'd ever experience. Make sure your aircraft's fully prepared as you take on ground, naval, and aerial forces on the Adriatic Sea. Also, there's a new Online Co-Op mission called Moscow Battle where you and your pals must save Moscow from oncoming threats!

- GRRR!!! It's Mega Rayquaza! The upcoming Pocket Monsters Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire 3DS games will feature Rayquaza's mega evolution! Think you're up for the challenge? Be prepared as Mega Rayquaza's fully armed with the Delta Stream ability which prevents weather changes during battles and Mega Rayquaza's most powerful move, the Dragon Ascent!

- An end of an era: Sebastian Vettel will leave Red Bull Racing at the end of the F1 2014 season.

- The South Korean government placed 40 orders on the F35 Lightning II aircrafts and develop their own as they're improving their firepower against threats from North Korea.

- Lea Salonga and the entire original cast members of the Miss Saigon musical returned to the West End Stage last month to perform in the 25th anniversary gala. They've been joined by the current cast which includes actress and singer Rachelle Ann Go. 

- A Pinay OFW posted a rather bizarre post on Facebook, saying that she wants to get pregnant with any male who can do it and she's willing to reward someone 20,000 Philippine Pesos. That Pinay OFW was revealed as Rosemarie Catidral and goes under her alias of Shaine Marie Gamboa. She said that she wants to get pregnant once she returned to the Philippines and she's looking for a man who can take on that bizarre challenge.

- Actress Coleen Garcia broke her silence about her alleged scandal on September 27, saying that it was a hoax and the post contains a virus if someone clicked on it when she was interviewed on The Buzz. That fake viral news of a clip with Coleen and her ex appeared on the same time as IT'S SHOWTIME presenter Billy Crawford detained after brawling with authorities because of alcohol abuse, while some say it was the cause that Billy has gone haywire.

An infestation of spider-like creatures, the moon hatched a big monster, a new moon was laid, and some emotional drama boils at the end of this episode, those are some of the things we witnessed during this week's episode of Doctor Who titled "Kill The Moon". It's a sad for us to see Clara angry to The Doctor after that...ungrateful decisions occurred. Looks like our Time Lord hero will be going solo for next week's episode for now...

As for the part where Clara's student, Courtney, posting pics of The Doctor on Tumblr, yeah, that's what we do real time because we love posting pics of him on Tumblr. He he he...
