FIA WTCR 2018 - Race of Macau

Macau is the final destination of the first-ever FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO and in this thrilling finale, it's a disaster-packed action where drivers got jammed in a pileup while a few managed to squeeze themselves to the finish and with Gabriele Tarquini leading in the driver rankings, this is the finale where he will be crowned the winner.

In the chaotic first race of the finale, Jean-Karl Vernay nicked his fourth win at the WTCR after defeating Yvan Muller and Rob Huff, which made him 33 points behind Tarquini in the title battle. Then, in a more chaotic reverse-grid second race, where everything starts piling up the drivers, Frederic Vervisch scored his first win of the series as Yvan Muller scored a podium finish. And in the final race, Esteban Guerrieri wins while Gabriele Tarquini is crowned the champion of the FIA World Touring Car Cup.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Congratulations to Gabriele Tarquini for being the world champion and that is the end of the inaugural FIA World Touring Car Cup. See you next year for more!

WRC 2018: Kennards Hire Rally Australia

This is where everything ends in the 2018 World Rally Championship as the Kennards Hire Rally Australia event will decide who will be the victor of this year's WRC and with Ogier and Neuville are hounding each other for the title, this could be the finale that decide the fate of these drivers.

Beginning in Friday's stages, Sebastien Ogier took a significant advantage over rival Thierry Neuville, who dropped almost 45 seconds in the final forest road speed test during Friday's stages. In Saturday's stages, meanwhile, title-chasing rival Ott Tanak stormed into the lead in what was becoming his last-dtich effort to salvage his title bid. However, in Sunday stages, Tanak failed after a crash but Toyota managed to score a Constructor's Championship win as Sebastien Ogier scored his sixth championship title win after a chaotic Australia finale.

What a way for Ogier to say goodbye to M-Sport Ford World Rally Team after two years by delivering a much-needed sendoff he needs for the Fiesta before next year's switch to Citroen Racing.

Congratulations to Sebastien Ogier for his sixth WRC championship win and for Toyota for nicking their Constructor's Championship win. And that is the end of the 2018 World Rally Championship. See you next year!

The heroic finale of Victor Magtanggol

Victor Magtanggol is the story of an ordinary man who was destined to wield the hammer of Thor, the Mjolnir, and protect Midgard from the clutches of Loki, the god of mischief and deception. In the course of the finale, with Victor finally exposed as Hammer Man and then surrendered the Mjolnir to Loki, his plot to destroy Midgard comes into fruition by turning Gwen's brother, Lance, into Fenrir, and Victor's sister, Lynette, who was presumed dead by the ambulance blast caused by the Jotuns, into Hel, the goddess of death. With the threat of Ragnarok looming, Victor teams up with his friends, his family, and some old enemies to put a stop to Loki's plot to destroy Midgard once and for all.

In the heroic finale of Victor Magtanggol, as Loki unleashed the end of Midgard, Victor and allies are headed to the cave to recover Thor's gauntlets, which was covered by the fires of Hel. After an argument on who has to sacrifice themselves to get the gauntlets, Victor's father, Tomas, recklessly touched the fire while giving Victor the chance to retrive the gauntlets.

After such sacrifice to retrieve the gauntlets, Victor and his allies are on an all-or-nothing final battle against Loki and his minions. As the battle between the gods and Loki's minions heating up, the fight between Victor and Loki are raging and as Jormungand swallowed the Mjolnir, the power of the Mjolnir shattered Jormungand, Victor tries to finish Loki off until Loki took Lynette (or Hel) hostage.

However, Hel (Lynette) finished Loki off and because Hel's power is too strong to Lynette to fight, there is no other choice for Victor but sacrifice himself to Hel's will. With Hel now controlling Victor, Loki finishes Victor off but for his last resort, Victor killed Loki with the Mjolnir.

Moments after Victor's inevitable sacrifice, Gwen sulks to Tim about losing two of her beloved people. Victor, meanwhile, bids Sif and Modi farewell now that the fight is over and as Victor handed over the Mjolnir to Modi, Modi decided to throw the Mjolnir back to the heavens so he won't commit the sinful mistake again.

Peace has restored in Asgard and Midgard and this concludes the heroic tale of Victor Magtanggol.

Pocket Monsters Let's Go! Pikachu & Pocket Monsters Let's Go! Eevee

The Kanto Region is more than just the region that started the Pokemon story. It's a region that makes you come back for more. You've played it in the original Pokemon games such as Red, Blue/Green, Yellow, then the Gold and Silver saga, then the Fire Red and Leaf Green remakes, and also the Heart Gold and Soul Silver remakes. It's a region that once you started, forever smitten, and now, you are back in the region where it all began, this time on the Nintendo Switch, showcasing the future of Pokemon games in the Switch era while stirring up some nostalgia.

Pocket Monsters Let's Go! Pikachu
Pocket Monsters Let's Go! Eevee

Pokemon heads to Nintendo Switch in an all-new-but-not-so-new video game that brings you back to where it all began with new and exciting ways to play. The Pokemon Let's Go! games welcomes players back to the Kanto region as a Pokemon trainer and in this game, trainers catch, evolve, and train different Pokemon. There are over 150 Pokemon to collect in the Kanto region and although the game feels pretty much the same as the originals, the Let's Go games promises to be more different than the rest of the installments. You can either play it alone or co-op with your pal by giving your another Joy-Con to him/her and enjoy playing Pokemon together.

In Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu, trainers paired up with Pikachu, while in Pokemon Let's Go! Eevee, they paired up with Eevee. Either way, both partner Pokemons are unique in their strengths and they're going to be forever at your side whether you like it or not. On second thought, we all like having mascot Pokemons on our side for the rest of our lives.

Throughout your quest for the Indigo League, you may find your journey with your partner Pokemon to be full of obstacles. Luckily, however, your partner Pokemon will have some new tricks no Pokemon has done before. Later on in the game, your partner Pokemon will trigger Secret Techniques (which pretty much like the Hidden Machines from the past) which allows them to cut trees, cross through waters, or fly through areas you've visited before. Also, they can take advantage of their brand new exclusive moves no other Pokemon can learn. When you see a sign during a battle, just wave your Joy-Con to use their special powers. For Pikachu, there's Pika Papow and Splishy Splash. For Eevee, there's Veevee Volley, Bouncy Bubble, Buzzy Buzz, and Sizzly Slide. Put these new powers to good use.

Catching Pokemon is the main goal of every Pokemon game since the start but here in Let's Go!, catching Pokemon now works like the ones from the Pokemon Go app games. Using the Joy-Con or the Poke Ball Plus, players throw a Poke Ball on the Pokemon and when caught, it's yours to keep. Just like in Pokemon Go, the catch rate varies by the color and the size of the circle and to make the catch more easier, feed them berries. If it's not working, try again, but hurry because any time, the Pokemon you're trying to catch may run away so catch it while you can!

Like the Pokemon you caught? Set is as partner and your new Pokemon will follow you wherever you go. Some may find you hidden items while some will let you ride with them, making the journey quicker and easier.

While taking a break from your adventure, you can play with your partner Pikachu or Eevee by petting it, feeding it with berries, or tickle it. As your bond with your partner Pikachu or Eevee grows, it can even do high fives or find gifts for you as you travel. You can even personalize yourself or your partner Pikachu or Eevee as well. You can give them new hairstyles, accessories, or outfits to your partner Pikachu or Eevee to your liking.

Got a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle? If you managed to evolve it all the way to Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, later on, you can obtain Mega Stones for them to Mega Evolve, allowing you to turn the tide of the battle in your favor. Also, keep an eye out for Legendary Pokemon such as Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Unlike regular Pokemon, you have to battle them and when you defeat them, you get the chance to capture it. Be ready with lots and lots of Ultra Balls and berries when you're onto it.

In tradition, there are Pokemon exclusive to each version. In Let's Go! Pikachu, Pokemon such as Oddish, Sandshrew, and Growlithe only appear in the wild. In Let's Go! Eevee, you can only caught Bellsprout, Vulpix, and Meowth. As well, Differences aside, there's always trading that will help you complete your PokeDex. Either local or online (requires online subscription), trading Pokemon with friends is one of the many ways to complete the PokeDex. Who knows, there are some Pokemon that can be evolved by trading.

Demonstrating the future of Pokemon games, Let's Go! features Pokemon Go! connectivity so most of the Pokemon from the Kanto region you caught from the Pokemon Go app game can be sent to the game. You can even send Alolan variants of Pokemon such as Rattata, Sandshrew, Vulpix, Geodude, Marowak, Raichu, Meowth, Grimer, and Exeggutor as well. Did you know that if you sent 25 of the same species to the game, you'll play a special mini-game where you can win Candies for your Pokemon?

As you get hooked to their new feature, word of advice, however, that there is a chance that you might get a Mystery Box, which can be received by sending Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let's Go and there is a chance that you might get a brand new mythical Pokemon exclusive to Let's Go. A long time ago, while you were playing Pokemon Go, you may have encountered a mysterious creature that turned into a Ditto. Now, it has revealed that they mystery creature is none other than the mythical Pokemon named Meltan and get this; by gaining 400 Meltan candies, Meltan evolves into Melmetal, being the first-ever mythical Pokemon to evolve. Getting 400 Meltan candies to evolve it into Melmetal sounds like a herculean task but there are many ways to get 400 candies to evolve it so try it.

Defeated the Elite Four and became the Pokemon League Champion? That's only the beginning because later on, you might run into Master Trainers. They will battle you with one catch; if you have their favorite Pokemon and you'll only battle them without items. This is a true test of skill and if you defeat them, you'll earn the title that will make it worth the bragging rights in Link Battles.

Did you know that for limited quantities, you can get the Mythical Pokemon Mew on the Poke Ball Plus? Better buy one now while you still can to add this Psychic Pokemon in-game. This is a useful Pokemon that can learn almost any technical machines that can adapt through different battles.

So, there we are. While this game takes us back to where it all began, the new and exciting ways to play Pokemon Let's Go! delivers brings us the glimpse of the future of the Pokemon franchise while remembering the great heritage this worldwide phenomenon delivers after over two decades. It may feel like a Throwback Thursday to us but Let's Go! could serve as the new standard of the next Pokemon games. A template of greater things to come. So, get up and go as your new Pokemon adventure awaits.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: South Korea dismantles guard posts with dynamite, excavators

South Korea exploded one of its own front-line guard posts Thursday, sending plumes of thick, black smoke into the sky above the border with North Korea, in the most dramatic scene to date in the rivals’ efforts to reduce animosities that sparked last year’s fears of war.

Last week, the two Koreas finished withdrawing troops and firearms from some of the guard posts along their border before dismantling them. The steps are part of agreements signed in September during a meeting between their leaders in Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital.

On Thursday, South Korea’s military invited a group of journalists to watch the destruction of a guard post with dynamite in the central border area of Cheorwon. The journalists were asked to stay hundreds of meters (yards) away as black smoke enveloped the hilly border area. They later watched soldiers and other workers bulldoze another guard post.

Most of the South Korean guard posts are being destroyed with construction equipment for environmental and safety reasons, but dynamite was used for the first structure because of its location on a high hill where it was difficult to use excavators, the Defense Ministry said.

North Korea is demolishing its guard posts with explosives, according to South Korean media.

The guard posts are inside the 248-kilometer (155-mile) -long, 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) -wide border called the Demilitarized Zone. Despite its name, it’s the world’s most heavily fortified border with an estimated 2 million landmines planted in and near the zone.

The area has been the site of violence and bloodshed since the 1945 division of the Korean Peninsula, and civilians need special government approval to enter the zone.

The Koreas each agreed to dismantle or disarm 11 of their guard posts by the end of this month before jointly verifying the destruction next month. South Korea had about 60 posts inside the DMZ guarded by layers of barbed wire and manned by troops with machine guns. North Korea was estimated to have 160 such front-line posts.

Under the September agreements, the Koreas are also disarming the shared border village of Panmunjom and clearing mines from another DMZ area where they plan their first-ever joint searches for Korean War dead. They’ve also halted live-fire exercises along the border.

The deals are among a set of steps they have taken since North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reached out to Seoul and Washington early this year with a vague commitment to nuclear disarmament. The fast-improving inter-Korean ties have raised worries among many in South Korea and the United States as global diplomacy on the North’s nuclear weapons program has produced little recent progress.

Speaking in Washington on Thursday, South Korean Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon acknowledged that criticism and offered reassurance that the South would not pursue economic cooperation with the North until there’s “significant progress” on denuclearization.

But he argued that improving inter-Korean relation would help, not hinder that process. He said another summit between South and North Korea could still take place this year. If it happens, Cho said it would break a “glass ceiling” in inter-Korean relations and could pave the way for another U.S.-North Korea summit.

“Chairman Kim’s visit to Seoul and South Korea is something that we have agreed upon, something that we can implement and something that is possible,” Cho said at the Wilson Center think tank.

The two Korean leaders have already met three times this year, most recently in North Korea’s capital in September. But a lack of progress in U.S.-led efforts to get the North to give up its nukes has added to doubts about whether plans for South Korean President Moon Jae-in to host Kim in the South Korean capital during 2018 can be realized.

If Kim, a third-generation hereditary ruler, visits Seoul, he would be the first North Korean leader to do so since the Korean War ended in 1953 with an armistice.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
(XBOX ONE)

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy brings back the iconic little purple dragon back into modern-day consoles such as the Playstation4 and the XBOX One, making rookie and veteran gamers remembering the good old days where they burn enemies, saving dragons, tirelessly chasing down egg thieves (which is exhausting even by today), outsmart boss characters, everything that makes Spyro one of the best adventure games in ages.

Three classic games have been reignited for today's generation such as the original Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. All of the familiar worlds, all of the memorable characters and enemies, it's all there as far as your childhood memory can remember you. Most can give you some laughs, most can make your feet crawl, most can infuriate more for repeats, but either way, these three remastered games are here to play and with numerous trophies/achievements to win, there are plenty of reasons to get back with your childhood video game for more.

Forza Horizon 4: Drive without explanations

If you happen to pick up your 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS from the Forzathon prize shop before the timer runs out, then congratulations. You get to keep the most hardcore 911 ever made to satisfy your craving for driving just for the fun of it.

I have to say that the 911 GT3 RS is a car that deserves to be driven without explanations like when you want to pull a joke with no explanations unless someone wants to explain about it but if you're like the next guy who wants to explain your silly little joke by now, then time for a refresher; the 991.2-spec Porsche 911 GT3 RS features a much improved racing chassis and lightweight construction, drawing inspiration from its ultimate variant, the GT2 RS. The Weissach package features carbon fibre body and interior parts, magnesium wheels, and a stiffer suspension setting. The naturally-aspirated 4.0L boxer-6 engine has been upgraded to produce 20HP more than the previous model so now it delivers 520HP of power and while mated to an improved 7-speed PDK, it delivers an improved top speed of 312kph. It went round the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 6:56.4.

How's that for explanation? Anyway, although the 911 GT3 RS is a proven track toy in its own right, what would happen when I take Porsche's track toy on the winter wonderland? It sounds like a challenge and being a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive car, I may find it to be difficult to survive through icy conditions and while facing against beefed-up exotics in the snow, well, let's find out as we roll the clip without explanations.

Man, facing exotics in the snow really is fierce especially when I'm driving a hardcore sportscar like the 911 GT3 RS but it barely managed to survive the snow and win anyway. Still, I have to say that the 911 GT3 RS is all about being as thrilling as a supercar and while this is still essentially a sportscar that brimming with testosterone and muscle, it never fails to impress drivers by delivering a much thrilling driving experience with no explanations. Need to explain more? No? Good, so have fun with your new Porsche!

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: President Moon affirms peace and co-prosperity in ASEAN meeting

During the ASEAN+3 summit meeting, President Moon Jae-in affirmed that his vision for East Asian and Southeast Asian countries is ultimately regional peace and co-prosperity.

To move toward the formation of the East Asian Community, President Moon introduced some important areas of cooperation and the role of South Korea within those. including building stronger crisis system, and logistical system for cooperation.

President Moon also underscored the importance of cultivating human talent through cross-border education, and he insisted that countries must work together to improve the quality of life for all members of the ASEAN community

In Singapore on Thursday, President Moon Jae-in and the U.S. Vice President Mike Pence reaffirmed their countries' strong alliance of 65 years as they discussed the latest diplomacy related to North Korea.

Meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN annual regional summits, Moon and Pence held their first face-to-face since February and the first since talks were called off last week between the U.S. and the North that would have been about the next summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump.

President Moon said it was the South Korea-U.S. alliance that brought North Korea into dialogue in the first place. and made the progress so far possible.

To that,… Pence said he looks forward to the next meeting between President Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un, and that Trump believes a second summit will lay a strong foundation for the joint objective of the region's long-term denuclearization.

According to Seoul's Unification Ministry, Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun and other executives, government officials and press will be going to the North’s Geumgangsan Mountain on Sunday. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of tours there.

Around 80 North Koreans will also attend the celebration, which will include performances, commemorative tree-planting and a banquet.

The Geumgangsan tour program originally was a gesture of inter-Korean reconciliation, but it's been suspended around a decade ago, due to a shooting incident.

Meanwhile, the ministry made it clear the trip has nothing to do with resuming the tour programs.

For the first time in 11 years, North Korean senior officials looked around some economic facilities in South Korea.

On Thursday, the five-member, high-level delegation from North Korea led by Ri Jong-hyok, vice chairman of Pyeongyang's Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, visited the Pangyo Techno Valley in Gyeonggi-do Province a major high-tech industrial complex built as a hub to test out fourth industrial revolution technologies.

In the afternoon, Ri visited a farming technology complex in the same province, touring around smart farms and greenhouses.

Experts say after Kim Jong-un took power, Pyeongyang has been stressing the importance of advanced science and technology, and is now looking for ways to adopt technology to farming to improve food situation.

Meanwhile, Pyeongyang's delegation came to the South upon an invitation from the province of Gyeonggi-do, not the Seoul government, to take part in an international conference on Friday.
